Thank you Trent for sharing David’s battle that he is fighting with God’s strength and love to help him through this. My father had cancer of the spinal and brain lining and with God by his side along with his family he was able to stay strong in his faith and now he is pain free on Gods right hand side.
Along with you Trent and this archery community I pray that God will continue to fight with David against such a painful disease.
David we all are praying for you to beat this into remission so you can join the elk woods again for many more years. Remember that God can and will move mountains for you.
God did for my father when he was eight years old and had spinal meningitis. The doctors told his mom and dad that they needed to go home to take care of their six other children and the doctors and staff would be there to make him as comfortable as they could as they didn’t expect him to last through the night. So my grandparents left him at the hospital and went home and they sat there in their home with the six other kids an prayed most the night for him. Then came morning getting the kids ready for school the hospital called and told them that they should all come down there because their son was awake, healthy and hungry. That night God gave my dad 65 more years to serve the lord and have his own family.
We know that Gods is stronger than any disease and together with David’s faith in the Lord, David will find the strength he needs to get through this and find his miracle. Just as he did for my dad. We will continue to pray for you David for healing and strength.
Thank you again Trent for sharing his fight with us. By doing that David is touching so many hearts with Gods love.

    Trent,
Thanks for sharing about David and his son Justin. As much as I enjoy hunting elk and watching LOTF, this is what life is really about. It is so reassuring to know that there is a new life for David as a believer in Christ.
I live and hunt in Colorado and would be honored to take any Ambassador or their volunteers on an elk hunt.
Thanks for making an impact to so many through your passion of elk hunting.

Pretty nerve racking to have the fire so close. Hard to say if it will come your way or not. Thank you for caring about others so much. It so good to see hunting personalities being vulnerable, but also being a badass. It is possible to be both.

Trent- you’re such a great person! How you react to stories like David’s is why I watch you guys. Very genuine. That’s how I live my life. Treat others like you’d like to be treated. I’ve hunted my whole life with my father and son. Hunting and hunters bring together many types of people, and I hope that the people I run into in the hunting woods have the heart, respect, and character that you guys have. Well done kiddo, we’ll done! 👏

Prayers to David and his family, there are moments of hell intertwined with feeling of good people, who truly are saints, and help the with some of the burdens. That touched me.. First time sharing a bit of my story, really not even sure why I'm doing this? Maybe David has given me courage I think. I am also waiting to die, it's so very hard on family and friends, it's been so hard having to give up my lifestyle, especially my hunting, I literally lived for it and forged many friendships through the years. Before my snowmobile accident in February of 2013 i ran mud runs, 10ks and 5ks, to help with staying in hunting shape. Hunted most of every year, up until turning h42 and my accident. Many back surgeries, permanent nerve damage, and then my liver decided to also get a rare disease that will ultimately turn into cancer, we have been told. You know it's crazy, but man I've cried missing work..not only the pay check but also the many friendships acquired along the way. One month ago we lost a granddaughter, been hard as you can imagine. I've so enjoyed you hunting with Dirk and Hush, looked forward to it each day. Sorry this is all over the place. I guess I just wanted to say like David...to carry on, be good to one another every chance you get. Keep on talking to our Heavenly Father, he loves hearing from his children, much like we do with ours. I think it felt good sharing. Thank you men, thank you David. God speed my brother, we will meet beyond the veil. Thanks again for sharing your strength. Much love from a Utah brother.

Great video guys. Seeing an awesome Elk on the ground is great, but just being able to see the footage of the amazing country you guys are in is by far the best to me. Just amazing! As for the forest fires, they should scare anyone that's miles up/in the mountains, because a simple wind shift can put you in great danger, knowing an out of control fire can move faster than any man can hike out of there.. Glad it wasn't/didn't turn bad. Peace.

I think Brady was nuts for leaving that many bulls ripping. But I'm guessing after seeing that fire they will bail back down that ridge in the morning. That fire is probably why there's so many bugling elk on that side of the ridge. They are walking away from the fire and gathering on the far side. As far as the story of David.....wow. So very heartbreaking. We are but a breath away from leaving this Earth any moment. How you live while you are here means more when your gone to those around you. Live life with a gusto for it and always walk with The Lord. He is our constant. God be with you David. Run to him. He will greet you with open arms as you enter his kingdom. God Bless you Trent for blessing us with this touching story....

Another great video showing the trials of hunting public land. I don't really Know what I would do about the forest fire except maybe go the other direction maybe? Trent you are a good man! Cancer is such a terrible terrible disease.. It was very sad to hear David's story. Non of us know how much time we have, nothing is promised on this earth.. I think that is why it is so important to get out there every September and give it our best shot..
