I realize these videos are a couple of years old but y’all should know they continue to inspire. I have been subscribed to LunkersTV for quite some time and while watching his Solo elk hunt that you guys bailed him out on, was turned onto your channel. I watched a video or too and was hooked. Over the last 2 weeks or so I have gotten my hunting license renewed (which hasn’t been active in decades), improved my bow skills, set up a beginners pack of gear, scouted out some public land here in Maryland and practiced getting up in a tree with a new climbing stand. This afternoon was my first sit and I couldn’t have felt more alive. Thank you so much gentleman and keep doing what you do.
I started rewatching 2.0 again. I got to episode eleven where Dirk and Trent are painting each other's faces. Funnier the second time around. Thanks for making me laugh.
Going back to my old hunting grounds is like going home. Calm, peaceful, and great memories. Going to a new place on the map is sometimes like going to a concert having no idea who the opening act is and if they are any good. But you are still going to have a good time looking around.
Ok so I had this dream that I was hanging out with Trent. We are having a blast, all of the laughs and I say "man I really want to go fishing with you". He gives me one of those eeeeeeeeeeeeeh you can go fishing with Trevor. I think I started laughing in my sleep!!!!!!
What, did I miss the footage of Trent and Brady doing a wake and bake???!..talking about flying around on eagles and dragons LOL. Hunting in CO, I cannot shoot that guy. What are the rules for spikes in WY? Also, at 7:42 it sounds like a muzzleloader touches off not far in the distance. Too bad the 5X didn't come out.
literally laughed out loud when Wes told Steve he may want to try the riverbed up further.... Steve didn't miss a beat and said "ok" and was gone... hahahaha awesome.
I been watching these videos for last couple days I’m in Oregon and plan on buying my first bow here in the next month or so and going on my first bull elk hunt this coming fall so excited
19:25 I packed up my gear, brought some fly fishing stuff (but had it stolen a few weeks ago!) and flew from Australia. Went around Montana and Wyoming. I *will* be going back for sure. If you're in the US and you're not getting out there you're insane. The basic gear I use: Decent boots (or even just Merrell hiking shoes) and multiple good quality socks, 1 man tent or hootchie, a small-ish Leatherman brand multi-tool (most other brands are shit), 0 or -5 degree rated sleeping bag (Snugpak is good), sleeping mat (for insulation from the ground, comfort is secondary), a rain-resistant jacket, hat/beanie, lightweight gas burner setup or jetboil, basic first-aid stuff, LED head lamp, compass (just a cheap one), 70L pack or whatever fits your gear, dry bags / large ziploc bags. Open up Facebook Marketplace or "cregs list" and get some basic gear sorted. It's not going to be cheap, but people waste almost twice as much money on a new mobile phone! If you aren't in a position to shoot then go fishing, no excuse! Be quiet and leave no trace.
There are elk bugles in my house every evening and sometimes at 7 am on sat morning. I think we could have conversations In bugles and chuckles and it would get his attention more than if I spoke English 🤣👌And I’ve come to know you gentlemen very well . My husband is addicted. Thank you 🤣🤣 ❤️ Felicia
I'm becoming a big fan of you guys,it's not all about the harvest. The hunt is what it is about, the time spent and memories will stay with you forever.
It all depends on your personal goals. If your looking to put meat in the freezer then by all means take the shot. Maybe your wanting something bigger then hold out. I have really enjoyed watching the LOF. I look forward to watching this every night. Keep up the good work and stay safe.
Played the animal game with 11 yr old on his first backpack hunt this year in the Gila. He said hippogriff. I mocked him that there no such thing in mythology. Got to cell range...welp one of us ate some crow. We couldn’t be more different, but we both love chasing animals outside. Thanks BRO.
I love to watch all of these guys , but I have to make fun of the tooth paste conundrum, where he said "ounces are pounds and pounds are pain"... yet he carried a bow with a large stabilizer and side bar. Just made me laugh..
The toothbrushing scene was great, as was the scene around the campfire...all that stuff makes up the hunt, the adventure... taking a moment to admire the amazing scenery too... It was cool seeing the elk in this video but everything else is what really made me wish it was September again...I wanna be out there livin' it!! Great job as always fellas. Good luck tomorrow!
This year was the first time I planned to camp off my backpack! I bought a cheap, 1 person tent from Walmart, and then I waterproofed it. Bought a 20 degree sleeping bag. A cheap sleeping pad. "Might have been a pool floatie " lol a 6x6 tarp . I also bought. A framed backpack. It's an alps outdoorz X pack . That doubled as a meat pack. Can see it on RUclips. Then there is the jetboil knock off. And a water filter system . Now every year I'm gonna replace something with something better. But I went cheap cheap. It all worked fine for me. I bought 2 boxes of mnt house meals. Anyway . There is a video on RUclips with Cody, I think doing a pack dump , before water I think my pack weight was 43 pounds. Good luck and happy hunting!
A few episodes you guys talked about your face paint this year and how easily it comes off. My hunting partner and I use wine corks. Just burn an end with a lighter and let it cool before applying it. It stays on well even when sweating and wipes off pretty easily with a damp cloth. I personally use unscented baby wipes and they work great for getting the cork ash off my face. Learned the trick when I was playing college baseball and our coach didn't want us using the greasy eye black because he didn't want us staining "his" uniforms. Hey gave us a bag of wine corks and the rest is history.
I would go with a sharksquatch. It has the head a tail fin of a shark and the body of a sasquatch. They would be especially handy when hunting in grizzly county when your bear spray is empty and you bring the wrong ammo for your side arm.
When it comes to all we shoot the first legal animal available. Whether it be cow or not(district regs decide of coarse.) Another good vid guys, especially considering that you are editing on the move. 👍👍 for the BRO fellas.
Eastern WA most units are spike only or antlerles. Have to draw a tag for Quality Bull. A few units where he would have been the ONLY thing you can fling a sharp stick at. And I'd have to go with an Avatar for pet.
brotha man I really enjoy MaCormicks Chipotle Roasted Herbs & Garlic and a little seasoning salt on my Whitetail meat. It is a game changer for sure. Be good to give it a try next time.
Trent, y’all really need to give NE Oregon a try. I grew up there, you’re missing out on totally different elk hunting than the west side in your own state. Hit me up, I’d be glad to give you many places to hunt there.
Y’alls magical pet conversation cracked me up. Next you’ll be flipping out over double rainbows asking “what does it mean?” By the way, I’m going with a giant wolf pet all day. I can ride him, he can pack meat, blood trail, and protect me from bears. Keep up the great work guys!
He passes, he had to on the 5 point.. While it was sooo close, there was just no shot. On the spike I don't know if they are legal to shoot there? If so I probably would have shot, because as close as I have came I have not gotten an elk with my bow yet. But I will be out in September trying again.. But that is me, not everyone hunts the same and we don't have to as long as we are all on the same side and getting out there and doing it.. That elk tender loin though..... That looked good!!
This is going to make me sound awful but some guys cut the tooth brush for hunting trips, the only reason I would be cutting my tooth brush is to save weight for another copenhagen can.
Trent, your calling is really sounding pretty awesome, think you have been hanging around with guys like Dirk and Cory to much, they are rubbing off on you. Great job Trent, I hope you get Brady a shot, been waiting on that!!
The eagle would be awesome if you kill something he could fly it out for you. Lol you guys crack me up. When you guys or one of the elk bugle my 1 year old daughter has started screaming back at the tv. Brain washing her early.
With that much elk action going on and so many close calls with bigger bulls I would pass it up. If it was hit and miss and that might be the only chance all season I definitely would shoot

As others have mentioned, I know these are older videos but I have enjoyed seeing the scenery of where you are hunting. God’s country for sure!
I have never killed an elk. I'm shooting with no regrets. Good job guys. I am enjoying the series.

I want to come back as a centaur, half man and have horse. I could still shoot my bow but get around the mountains as good as an elk.
They also generally have a bow and arrow in their depictions, so that makes even more sense.
Fuck yea!

“The eagles are coming, the eagles are coming” Brady Miller in Lord of the Ridgetops.

great looking country. Trent i agree on the new spot theory ! you want to make it work and motivation is high.

The BEST series bar none! Wicked fun to watch from up here in Alberta Canada boys! Elk hunting at its best

I’m not gunna lie........it makes me nervous watching that close-up of Trent cutting that tenderloin with a razor sharp knife!
I love the song in the beginning. It is a perfect fit!
And waiting on dinner to finish cooking and there is Trent cutting up elk meat and cooking on the camp fire and now I'm starved. Thanks alot Trent lol

I would go with a sharksquatch. It has the head a tail fin of a shark and the body of a sasquatch. They would be especially handy when hunting in grizzly county when your bear spray is empty and you bring the wrong ammo for your side arm.
curious to know what the average weight of your packs are when fully loaded for a 4-5 day hunt? Water included as you hit the trail?
Hiking your Dobo bangins off?!🤣
A dragon is what I would get haha I hit send right before Trent said he would have a dragon too! SO cool, I had to edit
Dude the eagle to hunt for you. Falconry FTW.
Sorry about the lateness of this question but, what kind of water filtration/purification system do you guys use??

Drakaris!

Heck yeah elk tenderloins at camp. Good stuff. Tomorrow is the day.
3 point or larger here in Alberta. You can take cows in bow season as well on same tag. Just stick with my hunting dog.
I really hope you guys find out new uncharted locations in the near future...ps...love it when you dudes break 🍞 bread buy the fire
Break your tooth brush in half Trent. Then its travel sized.
Dragons make way too much noise when they fly Trent don’t you know that! LOL
How do you keep the elk tenderloins cold while backpacking?
Nice bull, hard to keep your composure I’m sure!

Id pass can't shoot spikes in Montana that's where I'm at or yep if it was close to end of season. I hunt for the freezer.
The advantage of having a dragon is that you can cook your elk really quickly. Might be a little charred on the outside, but hey. . .

Really looking like Wyoming is top of list as far as topography and terrain and amount of bulls
Great action boys!
Sasquatch, it could carry me around the woods and help find the elk.
Brings a ridiculously tiny toothpaste tube and cuts toothbrush down to save 0.25 oz.....packs in eyeglasses to wear at night.
Trent I wouldn’t bet against you. You guys always seem to find a way to get it Done.
That looks tasty, got some deer backstrap ready for my grill tomorrow.
Always have been told don’t pass on an animal the first day that you’d beg to see on the last.
Land of the Free 2.0 isn’t disappointing!!!
If you want a quiet bird, go for a 20 foot owl.
the best one yet

Are you in grizzly country or not in this zone? Is someone in your group from Wyoming or did you stay outside of wilderness areas?
All of Wyoming's mountainous areas is grizzly country they have been reported by some Hunters even in Northern Colorado evidence on their trail cams
thanks again awesome

Oh but he keeps doing in my face lol
What is your water system and where can I buy it?
It's a sawer system. Amazon, REI, eBay. I bought one today and extra liter bags
