    Vert was always my favorite. What is so cool about skateboarding is you can make up tricks that no one has ever thought of. The sky is the limit. When I was younger I would go to sleep trying to come up with something to try. There is no substitute for spending hours on your board.

    Thank you and please keep on making those videos!

    • @KyleAndersonSkates
      @KyleAndersonSkates  2 года назад

      Thanks for the kind words!! I think if the quarterpipe still goes up to a decent height, you can do all the fundamental things I talked about to get some air. lifting up your front wheels to clear where coping would be and then sliding your front foot like an ollie will still project you into the air, you just wont have the bonk. if the quarter pipe is mellow, you will most likely need to actually pop the tail. hope this helps a bit!!

    I can land them fine and get air but my weight is always on the back wheels, which also means I can only grab the nose. Was hoping to find a tip on how to get the rotation to get more level in the air over the board.

    • @KyleAndersonSkates
      @KyleAndersonSkates  2 года назад +2

      If you are landing on the back wheels then you most likely leaning too far back when you are approaching the coping! Try putting a little more pressure on your front foot as you ride up the ramp and then lift up the front wheels and do the ollie motion. Hope that helps a bit!

    Hey bro what if the ramp doesnt have coping??

  • @highwayexit
    @highwayexit 3 года назад +1

    Any tips on how to indy grab the way you did in the last trick? That's back arm tucked behind your back leg. I find that really hard to do and can only grab between my legs, which isn't proper form. Did you have issues tweaking your legs at first? Once I left up my legs and grab it's like my legs won't follow new instructions. Thanks.

    • @KyleAndersonSkates
      @KyleAndersonSkates  2 года назад +1

      It definitely took some time to get used to that tweak! One thing that helps me when I go for it is to think about pumping way past the coping and then do a swooping motion with my arm so it slides past my knee. It might help to pull the board closer to your body after you grab to force your knees upward. Let me know if any of that helps!

    • @highwayexit
      @highwayexit 2 года назад

      @@KyleAndersonSkates Thanks a bunch. I've been learning tail grabs to train my arm to stay on the right side of my back leg. I'll take your tips on board.

  • @ed1_153
    @ed1_153 2 года назад +1

    Beginner here. Is there a way to just ride out of the quarter pipe, like a more forward rock to fakie without the fakie?

    • @KyleAndersonSkates
      @KyleAndersonSkates  2 года назад

      so to do that I would still use the same tip I mentioned in the video about imagining there is more ramp that you need to pump up to that way you get the coping all the way up against the inside of your back truck. as you are pumping up to get the back truck touching the coping you want to lean forward a bit to balance flat on the deck of the ramp. when you're there you'll need to shift your weight to the nose of the board and lift the back truck over and you should be able to ride ontop of the ramp. it'll probably happen in stages, get comfortable getting the back truck to the coping, then shifting your weight, and then the lift up. hope this helps a little!

    HARDFLIPS PLEASE!!!

  •  Год назад

    At 6:04 you "fold" your upper body forward - towards the knees which are "pulled up" - a lot after pumping up. Is this something you think of consciously, or does it happen naturally? Getting into this position, and staying in this position in the air, is my biggest challenge. My best attempts from my last fly out session look like this: ruclips.net/video/HCYBsxwrOr8/видео.html
