I can't believe how simple you made it all sound! You are criminally underappreciated at the moment, I hope this tutorial will help blow up your fantastic channel. Nuclear is where the game lost me, I stuck to using solar as just didn't have the energy to get my head around the complexity of the processes. Now this blueprint is available however, in future I can just stamp it down and not worry about, trusting in your far superior understanding. Thanks muchly

how to deal whit the depleted uranium ore as its produces a lot more then what it uses so I keep getting backlogged, and looks like its not producing uranium rods fast enough
I have some feedback from experience. One - for the turbines, I generally find myself running the first turbine in the row without balancing and the second one with balancing. The shafts don't lose power if there is an energy producer or consumer running on the shaft, so having all of them cranked a bit means you're not losing power. But that's a tiny OCD on my part. Two - the whole final setup for fuel is excessive after you run FSB for a bit. The whole reactor is Core Fuel positive if you feed it Blanket Fuel. So at the end of the game, you just need to make Yellowcake to Blanket Fuel and then have one facility for converting Enriched Blanket to Core and one for reprocessing Spent Core Fuel. So at least half of that fuel facility is not needed. Would be nice to have a final final blueprint that just makes Blanket Fuel and saves the complexity.
Point 1 thats OCD, if it helps at all I set each generators shaft to a different priority level but thats MY OCD so they power up in stages and shut down in stages Point 2. That is correct the blueprint is over the top AFTER your on nothing but a FBR. but the pause button is always a option, and if your wish to modify the original blueprint to blanket fuel only from yellow cake the first Enrichment plant can be removed and the U shaped belt run directly thru its place into what was depleted uranium storage and into the chem plant to make replacement blanket fuel. But then again you could just make a single settling tank at your gold smelting tie into that systems waste water system and move around the yellow cake to each FBR processing plant as the each FBR needs about 0.5 yellow cake per min from memory
When using the fast breeder part of the blue print for processing, it just gives me incomptible type on the BP info when trying to place. Any ideas why? I'd link a picture but YT don't link external links.
I have a huge problem with power that i can't nail down. I built a reactor and had it running stable for a while and then it started going crazy. The turbines are saying there's no transport to output steam almost like pipes are not connected. Then the reactor overheats and either melts down or auto shuts down im not sure which one but i get a radiation warning.
I kinda just winged it on my nuclear setups as the game really lacks any bit of info on it in the guide as well as not much about it online in other places. I did fine on the first two stages of the reactor setups but really struggled trying to math everything out and get a decent layout for the FBR. My whole setup looked like a mess until I basically just tore it down and started fresh with the FBR but what I was really having a hard time trying to figure out fuel usage vs what was being produced and recycled. I got lucky and only had 1 issue as I did the priority wrong for the core fuel as I was taking it from blanket processing first and the reprocessing second. I let it sorta idle for a couple hours in a temporary save to make sure it was all hunky dory before committing to it on my main save so I went for it. Unfortunately, the core fuel backed up about 500 years in game later and crashed everything in my power grid as I hadnt really messed with solar yet. The spent fuel output backed up and stalled it all. Overall, good tutorial on it and looking forward to checking out the blueprint. Mine gets it done but yours is a much cleaner and modular design that looks good.
Hi, it looks like the mix of high/low pressure turbines + generators has changed since your first video on nuke plansts, it has now wheels, can you please confirm ? I can't get it working for weeks. Cheers !
Hi jd. I build your reactor set up and i love it. Only one minor problem with it. The water tank was getting empty so i need to pause the water drain some times to fill the water tank. I putt 2 red pipes (450/60) and the water tank is now always filled. Maybe possible to fix this in your blueprint?
Wow that was a lot to take in!! Ive only gotten to research nuke power once so far befoer my whole colony collapsed. I know id kill everyone off when I try to build this. lol over 336 hours in the game still a nubbie... lol
Yes.....yes.....yes...... one of the videos I've been waiting for.

I was just about to startup my reactors and now I feel the need to tear it all down and go with this build.
Yes ! I was trying to figure out the multiple recycling loops. You save my life right on time.

That is beautifully tight. Love the build.
Hydrogen fluoride "good for brushing your teeth". Haha, never change, JD. You are a legend.
Well, you will never need to brush your teeth again...
Depleted uranium giving no pollution from dumping it is really strange, not gonna lie. It might be barely radioactive but it is still a heavy metal.
Slag and Brine dumping would also be massive polluters, but it still has to be a game.
Thanks.

Great video explaining NPP. I think you have room to write JD with the molten glass buffer.
Nar not quite, but maybe you could wrap the whole nuclear build with a molten buffer as a keep out sign for the trucks!
@@JDPlays Nice idea, it will give the area a nice glow. Too bad nothing glows green.

How many reactors can you feed with one production center ? Because 120W is not a lot finally.

Please continue the playthrough. Can't wait for the next episode.
The playthru will continue, just trying to get through some of the backlog of tutorial videos I wish to release

Im gonna ask my dentist for that hydrogen fluoride toothpaste.
Would it be possible to add the amount of workers to the blueprint description? Would be a great QoL improvement.
Yay! RADIATION!
