Coworker took the heads off and quit his job... leaving me with nothing labeled at all.. I've done countless headjobs but never this specific engine, this video was perfect to help speed up the process of sorting out the random bolts and parts and take a lot of stress off of my shoulders
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Have a 3.6 Pentastar V6 with E-torque in my Wrangler. Was curious to see the valve train assembly, especially lifters. Hope you can go into more detail in part 2.
This engine gets a lot of heat for its early issues with the rocker arms. But it’s a very decent motor overall. It has a good balance of power and fuel economy and it doesn’t use DI.
I had this P.O.S. motor in my 2016 Town and Country, bought it at 10k miles and by 78k miles I had 2 coil pack,8 rockers,4 rods, full coolant system replaced, all work was done under extended warranty, last straw for me was getting it back and saying to the guy ,cam phasers are clicking..sorry unless there's an error code we can't fix...There is no code for Cam phasers on this motor, This motor could've been as great as the 3.8 buick, unfortunately Chrysler chose to use cheap vendors, great detailed video
Thank you! Your voice and tone are perfect. Simple yet detailed explanations. Love it!
Better then automotive tech school great explanation and man that is a big engine for a six cylinder what a beast
Excellent work and project. Great addition to anyone's understanding of this engine.
Thank you very much!

Excelente video, muy bien explicado. Good Work..
wow great video Mr. thank you so much muchas gracias es de gran ayuda para los principiantes como yo
Expert explanation of this engine. Looks very complexed. I bet clean oil is very important. I change mine at 4,000 with synthetic 5w-20.
Nice been wanting to take a look at the 3.6 responsible for powering my jeeps👍subscribed
surprised that the PS engine is totally shot, thought the bottom end in particular were very sturdy

I'd have to agree with your point that it's an overall good engine. Thanks for the comment!
Fantastic video and expert explanation. Thanks so much .
Glad you enjoyed it!
I thought the headers are welded to the block how did you get them off? I have a v6 challenger
do you have an engine removal video from a 2014 grand cherokee?
Awesome, excellent video!
Thank you very much!
Great show. Is it an engine on the noisy side if it's chain driven?
Is this a reliable engine to buy? I am planning to buy Ram 1500 V6.
Yes, it's widely considered to be Stellantis most reliable engine.
Awesome video!!
Thanks!
How many miles was on this engine I’m just curious 🧐

What you claimed is what most mechanics would do
It was introduced in 2007, not 2011.
Yes, at an auto show. It was entered into production in 2011 for public use.
