I loved it, it's clear that a cool headed Barry could run circles around Kal but the shock of the realization that Supes can interact with his "fast time" threw Flash off his game and almost tripped several times until he did. There's a reason Batman uses fear as a weapon.

Understable, too: the Flash taps into a surnatural force to explain his silliest speed parts - but Supes just has plain ol' absurdity to explain his. I mean, his speed is just the products of fast muscles, yes? So why it doesn't tire him, make him more un--precise, dampen his senses and narrow his POV like it does a normal person speeding up? Supermagic I guess. I bet Superman can move well before he can think, too.
I love Flash's "shocked to the core" reaction when he realized for the first time ever that somebody (that somebody being superman) is actually able to catch up with his movement 😂
Not as fast but enough to be a threat to Barry with that strength difference but that's not the scariest part, its bonkers that Clark can use his super senses to perceive him at high speeds when everyone else can't.

DC people are morons, first they released that pathetic justice league version instead the Snyder cut which is so much better and could have paved the for future movies. Now they wanna reboot superman after getting rid of Henry. One stupid decision after another.
Remember how hyped everyone was to FINALLY be getting a sequel to Man of Steel? How that lasted for about two weeks, before the execs announced, “Psych!” I have never been more angry at an exec decision for a movie before. Cavill defined the Man of Steel for almost a decade, and left a mark as indelible as Christopher Reeve.
Visually maybe. But he sucks at acting.

Honestly the few seconds where Superman just side eyes Flash is one of the best and most effective and simple things this movie did well. Knowing the Flash's speed, and seeing the shock in his face knowing full well he's fu**ed was so brilliantly done.
And they still show a discrepancy that Flash is faster but Supe can very much keep up or see what he's doing.

@@nahor88I'd say Man of Steel was more of a setup movie. I still think it's still the greatest Superman film, but it would've been great seeing Cavill in one more standalone film where they can focus on Metropolis. Also to see more iconic Superman villains like Brainiac or Bizarro.

This moment gets me every time. Everyone is so excited at the idea of Superman being back and healthy, that they don't think about what could've happened to his mind in the time that he was dead. I mean, being revived that quickly using an advanced form of alien technology to send a jolt of electricity so powerful, it can bring a literal god back to life, there's bound to be a few things that get lost in the process. The most prominent being the mind, and with a fully powered Kryptonian, with no sense of self, restraint, or humanity, you are basically looking at the world's most dangerous loose cannon in history.

Well at the end of man of steel Lois puts the dirt on his coffin and then the dirt starts lifting and it cuts to black screen. So that ending was not needed as it looked like he was going to resurrect himself

Why does it bother people that yes, Superman beats WW? Superman is the reason DC always has to reboot their universe. Yeah, plenty of wonder woman fans got triggered with this scene. Then they pull out comic and animation by saying Diana can toe to toe with Superman. Did they realize that Superman always fight by holding back his strength, not just that, Superman is faster than her so if he want in comic, he can beat Diana instantly.
In ZSJL, we saw for the first time Superman utilize his speed and strength to fight.

I think we would've been just as satisfied with Cyborg not knowing how to use his powers. Makes a lot more sense than the mother boxes somehow providing him with a vision of a dark future after being powered by someone REVERSING time. Also, even if this answers one of the issues in the Whedon version, we still need an explanation for why the Justice League didn't even bother trying to stop him from attacking Superman in both cuts.

cant imagine the fear Flash's had here...imagine that you have always been so fast your whole life and feel like this is simply another meaningless fight but then that changed instantly bcuz the guy you were about to fight can actually see you and keep up with your speed... the worst part is that the guy is someone as strong as Superman which can literally rip your heart out in mere seconds

You guys do realize the idea of Superman being evil is personified through General Zod since he’s the same race as Superman and has the same powers, right?
Not only see and keep up but a single hit from Superman will kill him and he evades several of them barely. Now it's the question if Superman wanted to kill at this moment or just knock them out - he could have killed all the others in seconds if he wanted to but he didn't but it is very clear that if he went full ahead they'd all die.
@@FPAlphaFlash is way faster that the portrayed superman here. Did you see the end? Flash went far beyond the speed of light. This version of superman is not able to achieve that kind of speed. Flash easily evaded all the superman attacks (just watch and see how easily flash evades all of it except the last push), he was just confused and shocked to see someone was able to see him at his *base speed*.

As a huge Superman fan, i LOVED this scene. A glimpse of his power, of what he is REALLY capable of. He handled the justice league without breaking a sweat. It was effortless. And the icing on the cake was when he lifted Batman and just tossed him away like a sack of potatoes. He handled them all easily.
The part with Batman is very different here, he tries reason with the kryptonian but gets blasted by heat vision.
In the comics he never beats Wonder Woman so easily. She’s defeated him a number of times. This is why I’ve never been a fan of Zach Snyder’s DC films.

The fact that the Flash and Superman are compared on the subject of speed just proves the Flash's concept is superior, since Superman tries to emulate it, instead of capitalizing on any other trait (and Horus knows he's got them all). In the DCEU, never did Superman delivered a decisive blow nor resisted any particularly brutal, physical attacks with distinction - looks like two Kryptonians can hit on one another for hours without any significant effect. Just chose a schtick, Supes.

Focus on Superman's right leg, he's so fast that his leg hit Flash's lighting bolt and tore a hole on his pants (even moved the lightning bolt)

Hate to disappoint but at 0:17 and 1:24 you can see the hole in the cloth.
Also, the static discharge moving away from his leg is just a CG person making a mistake. When Superman moves his leg into the path of the arc, it should just connect to him as ground potential - simple physics. Not like that could harm him... he is Superman. 🤷🏻♂️

When WW uses the lasso on him and reminds him he is Kal-El, I wonder if it fails because that's not who he is at his core. He is Clark Kent. Her words just amplified his confusion.
I think it didn't work because she couldn't complete her sentence as the lasso works on what she says. If he had completed it, it would have worked. The lasso is unbreakable like her gauntlets and even worked on Dark side(comics)
It worked. It started to change him. And then…he freaked out. A surge of memories likely triggered him and he thought it was a threat. He reacted with violence, until he saw Lois. Wonder Woman unlocked his memory (sort of) and Lois finished the job by unlocking his heart. Which is why he never spoke until she asked if he knew where they were.
I think it was more that the lasso wasn't around him completely and he could still move, cause he is in fact Kal-El of Krypton, that is a part of himself that he acknowledges. She does say "Remember who you are. Tell me who you are" so that would just cause him to answer Clark Kent, but I think the lasso works best when it is binding someone completely.

@@Samanosuke1138 Steve didn't resist and Maxwell didn't even realize it was attached to him and whedon's trash isn't canon. Plus, they're not Superman. I'm not saying it wasn't working but the fact that superman wasn't bound completely by the lasso gives us another reason as to why it didn't work.
This is one of the best superhero fight scenes ever, maybe even the best.
Its just insane that in the time that superman had thrown everyone in the air he had stopped to see what the flash was up too and go after him before they had even hit the ground

I think it’s actually because the Mother boxes are living machines. The Kryptonian ship knows how hostile Apokaliptican tech is and warns against using it to resurrect Superman. Cyborg, being made of the mother box, senses that hostility and it also fears the Kryptonian so it immediately went to override him and attack Superman. At least, that’s how it comes across to me in this version of the film.

I like that phrase,,,,"If you see this monument look around you" written at Superman's monument,,,,Zack Snyder's Justice league was a peice of work from props to setting,characters,sound team,lighting setting and last but not least was everyone who made sure that this movie was available in good time.

If that movie served one purpose, and it succeeded, it was to show everybody how overwhelmingly powerful Superman is comparing to his pairs of the League.
Wonder Woman's approach was wrong. She asked him to remember himself as Kal-El. This would only bring out the Kryptonian side of him without his humanity or restraint. Asking him to remember his Clark Kent persona would have calmed him down better.
Agreed however they are both a part of who he is and you could see that moment of hesitation from him as she was calling him the last son of krypton. So it shows she was getting through to him a little, however it took remembering the human side for him to fully come through.
I dont know why but there is something VERY weird about how superman looks at Flash when he sees him moving that fast.
Kinda like... "Ah, so thats what you do"

he’s able to create bursts of energy with swings of the trident, not to mention this Aquaman isn’t even strong enough to pierce Superman yet.

Snyder's vision is darker, scarier, takes some extra time to build tension and conveys emotional maturity that the whedon version can't touch.

Ezra’s face when he saw Clark’s senses accelerating was the best part of this movie. Batman saying “something is definitely bleeding” was the last and second best part.
Zack Snyder didn't make superhero movie, he made a suspenseful horror movie about foreign creature and demons
If he doesn’t remember who he is then he’s probably not trying to control and limit his power like normally would, which is why he seems so powerful against everyone

Love how this scene demonstrates just how powerful Superman is. The idea that he is humanity’s greatest savior but also their doom should he turn evil is a fascinating concept that would have been explored more in JL2 when he gives in to anti life after Lois’ death and stands with darkseid.
I think Wonder Woman and Aquaman were sort of nerfed as well for the sake of the scene.
