Everything I wanted in the V2 - I've been holding off for an Avatar goggle with HDMI and AV in, because I have a _fleet_ of analog quads and planes; with this and an analog receiver I'm golden, thanks Caddx! (Now it's BDI's turn to design a mounting adapter for my RapidFire and HDZero modules, their DJI adapter is flawless!)

Hello, I assume that this concept will prevail. By this I mean that you can insert a receiver into the goggles. Universal goggles from all brands (with a competition) would be possible in which you could use either Caddx, Runcam, HDzero or DJI receivers, just as you want....
Goggles would be comparable to a television to which you can choose to connect either a Prime-box, Netflix-box, Blu-ray player or satellite pay TV-box. So maybe we will see goggle manufacturers, antenna manufacturers and receiver manufacturers. And the customer can put all 3 components together the way he wants simply because the interfaces are standardized...
You just described TVs from 10 years ago.

Given the current stand alone VRX is $200; what is the expected VRX upgrade price when it becomes outdated in August 2024 for the completely new system?
If it's a concern and you don't need it now, i'd wait like I'm going to for the bundle with the 4k system. Nothing wrong with a plethora of options and modularity for us consumers though. The fact that CaddX even considered giving us the ability to have VRX upgrades for the future without having to do a 600$ goggle purchase each time is the part that is great. I don't think HDZERO or DJI even offer you the ability to upgrade your vrx. Great time to be in FPV (unless you are getting remote ID headaches :( )
@@dinosabic5383 It is a concern only because we just don't know a lot about the future and they have set a forecast for something completely different awfully close.
As a WS VRX owner who preordered and bought into the system last year around this time... I think I am going to sit this one out. Spending $500 now on these, only to possibly need to spend $150-$200 to upgrade the VRX 9 months from now does not make any sense for me. An upgrade may be more or less necessary; we just don't know what all the specifics might be.
Despite the forward-thinking by caddx on these goggles, I do feel as though they have been rushed to market to get away from fatshark as soon as possible, and it shows. I think these could have probably waited a little longer, maybe some of the issues with them will be ironed out later on too .
Someone knows why in this googles doesn’t work hdmi-in when you connect it to macbook air? I tried lots of cables, nothing (
