When/why would you ever plug a goggle to USB? There is no internal battery. Updates are over SD card or wireless. Video is via HDMI. DJI’s “Aeroscope” serialized hardware and digital ID registration and tracking system is the only one that would require a plug… no one else does, or will ever, do this. The micro-B port on the VRX board is for factory diagnostics, hardware comes with all kinds of diagnostic ports, but usually pogo pins in mass manufacturing. Caddx isn’t a huge corporation making millions of pieces of hardware so it’s easier to just put a random, non user accessible, port instead of requiring a diagnostic fixture/automation system.
Charging USB c is the most common charger ever and anything I own that doesn't have it always is a pain to find the charger. It wouldn't be a big deal except I have like twenty different chargers for different things and my daughter loses some or I do. It would be sooo much better if everything was just USB c
