That voice transcription in Notes is freaking genius. That's insane. That's going to save a ton of time when I am doing a final draft on something. This is the best feature to me (and that Hard Drive Formatting on a iPad) over Math Notes. Apple stepped their damn game up for real

Journal should stay on iPhone. You have it 24/7/365 but the laptop and iPad isn’t w you all the time and everywhere. Journal uses photos videos and location to prompt an entry. You don’t always use iPad for pics and if you in leave it at home while your at a concert, not much to write about.

It's sad that we even have to acknowledge a feature virtually everywhere else by a decade bar Apple. But that's exactly how Apple's anti-consumerism works. They intentionally keep essential features out for as long as they can, even a decade, so when they come with crap updates like this, people to be thankful for it LMFAO

This is absolutely underwhelming, there is no denying it because I am an IPad user who swapped to android and let me tell you that getting an update for notes and a calculator app after like a year after the last major update is not “amazing” at all whoever really thinks this is an amazing update is absolutely out of their mind and need to go look at something that isn’t apple for once in their lives. You people have such a low bar for “amazing” because if this was released on an android device after like 3 months of announcement and calling it a revolution the company would get trashed and get a bad reputation. Unfortunately apple users have become blind and apple continues to lower the bar and people keep buying it, this is just an insult to tech as a whole and if Steve Jobs was here today and came back he would be ashamed of what apple has become. Imagine putting your life’s work into a company that ends up revolutionizing tech but some idiot like Tim Cook comes along after you die and absolutely trashes your company.

Well unbrick it by using DFU mode and iTunes or Apple Device app on Mac or Windows, google everything I just mentioned and you can reinstall iOS18 in your M4 iPad Pro

It’s pretty wild how Apple doesn’t allow touchup in iPadOS and iOS like they have on macOS. Mike this is where all our photos are taken and are stored and where people edit their photos so why not have all the same photos editing features that they’ve had for the last 10 years on macOS???🤦♂️

Several things still feels really buggy imo. Control center is a mess, moving apps makes all the other apps jump around like crazy, and don’t get me started on the tinting of icons. Terrible. Great video though
At least do the security update 17.7 and then watch reliable channels like this 9to5, Butch Brandon, Zollotech covering all 18.x for real detail or hands on. Yes, sometimes it is wise. I chose to do the security. I'm glad Apple offers the security separately.
I have a 32gb ipad 7th gen. after deleting everything and starting the update it got very angry. Took the best of an hour to download. It was a hilarious experience.

The note is better than excel for calculating simple math, and also do algebra. Awesome. Very impressive.

Auto refine handwriting worked like magic! So in love with this feature considering that handwriting notes is what I predominantly use my ipad for.
Math notes is the best. Being an algebra teacher it will help a lot!

Something i noticed after updating to ipados 18, is that bluetooth is kept constantly on, despite turning it “completely” off in settings

My ipad m4 didn't heat like before after the update, when using the goodnotes app. That's good enough update for me
