ヒトキさんこんにちは!! I'M REALLY HAPPY TO SAW YOUR VIDEO AGAIN!!! YOUR WORK'S HELP ME A LOT!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I HOPE YOU'RE OKAY HAVE NICE DAY!! ありがとうございます!!
I think Habataiteiru might have something to do with the american (arguably outdated) slang word "fly" as in "You're looking pretty fly today" Not being a native english speaker, I do remember being equally confused about it's meaning or origin.
Here in Germany we have a whole professional contest for the best youth slang word of the year called "Das Jugendwort des Jahres". It's such a fiasco and almost no one takes it seriously. Averagely 1 out of the 10 nominated words have I and my friends (and we are by all means the current youth) ever used, good a half of the words are just English slang and the other words are either so annoying or provocative that it physically pains me to read them. Instead of just ignoring I eagerly look them up each year, don't ask me why.
OMG please tell me what do u use the most, I’m learning German right now because I live in German speaking country and only thing I’ve learned so far are die Schimpfwörter which I don’t think could be considered a slang :D
You know, to me 羽ばたいている sounds similar to "Mi fa volare" or "Volo" in Italian. It means almost the same thing: "Mi fa volare" is like "It makes me fly", meaning something is so awesome, or some times even hilarious, that you can't stand it, you just love it so much. I am a bit older than Hitoki-san (next year I'ìll be 30 😱) but I use this slang a lot and my peers too. I think that younger people don't even use it. So, Hitoki-san, you're not an oji-san (yet).
Im thinking on getting a tattoo in japanese from a line of one of my favourite books. The sentence is "journey before destination". I looked around and found this as the translation "行き先の前に旅". Does anyone know if its a valid translation? Book series is Stormlight archive
In England some slang is common from the Internet, but other slang is really regional. I never heard "scran" before I heard it specifically in Gloucester. Apparently it means food, and when I asked why all I got was some vague explanation about ration packs. GCHQ and Imjin Barracks are both in the area, as well as a few old landing strips so I guess that is why? I (south England) have also really confused my boyfriend (north England) with specific slang before, and the other way round too. So maybe you are not too old, just in the wrong city ;-)
i have 21 years old and from chile ( latam ), i talk like more older and my moral, etica and type of thinking to but i still watching anime, video games and movies
Hahah ちょえ sounds really practical as a foreigner whose native language doesn’t naturally have the stops that japanese has in its double consonants (like the tt in chotto matte)
About 「かわちい」I've used that word before and I've also heard 「ちゅき」I don't remember if Hitoki~San talked about that slang word before but, it sounds interesting to me. Besides, the most interesting word was 「羽ばたいている」is a bit of a strange word to me 🤔 and btw, probably I'm a 「限界オタク」of japanese male voice actors or 「男性声優」😅 I can't describe how wonderful they are to me 🥰
HItoki, los subtitulos al español aparecen en arabe. No entiendo como cambiarlos asi que si hay alguna persona que se encargue de mirarlo, lo agradeceria. ありがとうございます!!
This is extremely interesting. I'm 37 and gave up on keepig up with slang in German (my language), as this is lot of English mixed up with rap words from arabic language or turkish. This sllang is widely used but I'm tooo old now I gues. Though I'd understand most of it or can guess what this is about. As I learned Japanese I can somehow understand what has changed to come from the old one to the new one, but it also sounds strange. Plus, it makes it even more painful for foreigners to learn Japanese and fully understand your pop culture.
I'm 10 years older than Hitoki, so when he said "I guess I'm an uncle now", my hair immediately turned white
Hope you come back eventually, love your content
You're not old!!! The slang changes like the weather 😁
I teach Junior High School and I definitely hear my students use "かわちい” 教えてもらえてよかった!!
I feel like "genkai otaku" is the perfect description of Taylor Swift fans 🤣 But it also describes how much I love Komi Can't Communicate.
The way I was subscribed but couldn’t find this channel. 😭 Sad there’s no new content but I’ll be watching and waiting
me do too

Maybe it's an influence from Red Bull ads in tv...
I just though of "flightless bird my ass, this mf fly as hell"
現在日本語習っていて、日本に関心も本当に多い人として、こういう映像大好きです!!いい映像ありがとうございます!!
Thanks! This is very interesting
二か国語の字幕が入れてくれて、ありがとうございます。❤❤

I use Twitter so much because I talk to japanese people a lot, so I already knew every single one except for ぷるい
your channel is super amazing ✨✨✨✨🤍
¡Gracias!
Thank you for supporting always☺️
if he's old af, we are doomed.

When you're gonna come back to yt? I loved your content...

Heyy why did you stop posting videos :(
He went to university and is too busy to make videos now.
Beh, ti sei risparmiato il "corsivo" . A chi non è italiano, non lo spiego, gli italiani capiranno.
I love watching your videos. 🧡
I wish you'd come back with the interesting videos. It feels like you left us to make money from basic Japanese courses.

ひときさん、僕はすごくありがたい、皆さん諦めないでよ!頑張って!✌️
僕はブラジル人なんですね、ブラジル人の人がすごくスラングを話します。「Mano」とか「Ata」とかとっても使います。
