      To many didn't.
      My Bebita Wife Maria and I have friends up in N.C. who lives just east of the worse off areas.
      Scared the heck outta us when we couldn't get ahold of them for a few days.
      They called us with a sat phone they use when they travel overseas.

    The pad came out really good and the grade was spot on, I hope the drainage trench helps with the run off water from the drive. I know a small cattle grid culvert on the driveway would have solved the water issue, but then again that costs $$$ - another good video!

    I love it when a plan comes together after being altered several times. That's the DP way. Deal with it and make sure the customer is happy that is what matters. I'm still curious why when you were shoveling, Aaron had the long handled shovel. Mike was using the short handled one. Seems odd 🤔 😂😂😂. Great job guys, can't wait for the next one.

    Mike, do you carry cloth hankies? If not, might be time to! Lol. This is going to be an interesting job! On another note, i just finished a 10 x 12 pad for a greenhouse thats coming Tuesday. I learned from you how to build one, and hubby taught me how to use a transit and grade rod, and i used a compactor to pack it in, and needed to buy more dirt for a second lift. It was 15 inch drop in elevation from the front to the back.After the second lift and packing it was perfect! Thanks for teaching us! I am 68, and hubby cannot do this work anymore. ❤️ from East TN

    Anyone else catch the green DP sticker on the back of the Hyundai Dozer that Mike tried to hide so delicately once he noticed it we never seen the back of the dozer again might as well give it up Mike you won the lottery you just not telling everyone but there is signs 😂😂

    I heard you complaining about the Taco skidsteer the other day and it dawned on me that it must be a pretty darn good machine as I hadnt heard you talk bad about it like you did the Kubota!!! Glad you found a good one 🙂 We got our power back yesterday here in western NC, Thank you Lord!!! 🙂 Hope everyone else gets theirs back soon too!!!

    The home owner could put a long catch grate that covers the entry to his driveway and then a french drain extending up the edge of the road to help divert some of the water. Of course, that costs money...but.

    Since the homeowner's going to park his tractors and things like that on that side of the building he should put a drain in the middle of the pad this way you can open a nice drain in front of the building and have it all tied together going out the back at the building

      Floor drains can be expensive because code actually requires an oil separator system in the drains in most areas. Front french drain by doors doesn't. Seems as if the owner has plenty of cash to burn either way. We will never know regardless.

I am down here in New Port Richey FL and we just got completly DESTROYED with storm surge from our last 'cane and we got another one headed from the west. They seem to think a swale an a dam going to save thet pad mount 😂..ps call NC 😮

    Within a half inch, not bad guys, the builder can make the other decisions on the drainage and grade, that trench for water runoff should really help devert water.

    Talent and the right equipment work wonders.....very nice, very nice indeed.....when you buy the Case 140, I think you should paint "DIRT PERFECT" on the back of it just below the Case in bold lettering and shadowed instead of a sticker....

    your fill dirt is better than my topsoil. i live at base of mtn. its all a gravel pit here. kinda tough to grow a garden in gravel.

    I'd put in a 4" drainage tile between the old and new buildings, running out back into the woods. There will still be some water accumulating there from off the road.

    I would have said cut the concrete and make that drain bigger all the way across the concrete then continued the pipe over to run out over the banking creating a field drain in the process.

      As a concrete finisher I would have ran the drain all the way across. But they are grading the ground so that the water doesn't run to the pad and by slightly sloping the ground the water will run down over the hill instead of towards the concrete pad.
