What is your thoughts on the way metal music is viewed in specific parts of the world? In Iran for instance a band called Confess was jailed in 2015 for playing heavy metal and sentenced to 12.5 years in prison and 74 lashes (there's more to the story, but they're in Norway now) Acrassicauda is another band, they're from Iraq, in the U.S. now - If you haven't heard of them, check out their song "Massacre" or "Garden of Stones"
I like very much how you placed the camera and the southern cross to have the neck perfectly aligned with the stand. I had to look at the space between those two the whole video, it's just perfect space. It's the opposite of the silly cart, I couldn't look there.

Hola ola. I've ventured into programming my own drums of lately. Very time consuming. Are there quicker ways to program custom drum beats?! Edit: #teamkarts
Agreed with children of blue moon. I used a free program called Hydrogen drum machine. Not the greatest but it works. Being a drummer of 20+ years helped a lot with knowing the beats I wanted, and in time it was easier to program. A tip I can give you is keep it simple at first. Don't spend too much time choosing sound samples and advanced drum beats. Find a good set of sounds, have a simple drum setup ( think a trap kit with 4 or 5 cymbals tops ) and get familiar with the software. Another trick is save all the beats and modify them when needed. Quicker to change a couple notes in a beat then redo the whole thing. Keep at it, you will get there mang.

Ola, I've been trying that picking technique of yours for quite a few years and I find it strenuous on my thumb if I do it full time with all the riffs I do. I notice that it seems easier to keep the pick from moving if I use my index and middle finger when tremolo picking. Watching this video I noticed you bring your middle finger up near the pick sometimes but when tremolo picking you bring your finger away in a quarter moon position. Are you bringing your middle finger into the pick at times to straighten the pick when it has moved out of the normal position you like after holding the pick with the index finger and your thumb?

Just found your channel. Love you content. Just wanted to let you know about a great rock documentary about X Japan called We Are X. Very captivating. Yoshiki (great pianist btw) went through a lot. Father's suicide, 2 band members eventual suicide, singer broke up the band because girlfriend wanted him to join a cult. Of course he came back for reunion. I also agree about Opeth and growls but I'll still take what we can get from them.

Ola, I've been trying that picking technique of yours for quite a few years and I find it strenuous on my thumb if I do it full time with all the riffs I do. I notice that it seems easier to keep the pick from moving if I use my index and middle finger when tremolo picking. Watching this video I noticed you bring your middle finger up near the pick sometimes but when tremolo picking you bring your finger away in a quarter moon position. Are you bringing your middle finger into the pick at times to straighten the pick when it has moved out of the normal position you like after holding the pick with the index finger and your thumb?
Hi Ola... just wanna ask if solar guitars will eventually add a 7 string guitars with hipshot (since i'm one of those who like to change tunings a lot from E to D standard) or that can be done with evertune without changin strings? sorry if you had answered this before but kinda lazy to watch almos 100 faqs to see this answer... Just found your channel. Love you content. Just wanted to let you know about a great rock documentary about X Japan called We Are X. Very captivating. Yoshiki (great pianist btw) went through a lot. Father's suicide, 2 band members eventual suicide, singer broke up the band because girlfriend wanted him to join a cult. Of course he came back for reunion. I also agree about Opeth and growls but I'll still take what we can get from them.

For example, would you be willing to share how much does it actually cost to create an album such as Masters of the Universe? I know that this is somehow extensive topic but it may help aspiring musicians/bands to make forecast regarding their future activity. So, if it would be possible could you provide ballpark figures for outsourcing a drummer (such as Delta Empire), mixing & mastering, CD/Vinyl presses, digibook printing etc.

Hello Ola! You are a hard picker so maybe you know the problem: when I practice at home at low volume using a detune effect the strings sound bothers me because it's out of tune. Do you think closed back headphones are enough to solve this? Other recommendations? Thanks a lot
