Yeah! I'd have to agree! This was among my earliest videos and I didn't have quite the appreciation for ring mod as I do now. It's def a great one and I miss it!
@@Duskmos The 102 was the first one that I got. I initially wrote off the Foogers because they were just glorified guitar pedals for me. But when Moog released their Sonic Infinity DVD freebie around 2005-6 and I learned about the CV capabilities...it became clear that they comprised a never-closed system. The 102 was solely bought to provide tremolo for my Rhodes, which I didn't know at the time I'd ever get repaired. It was all downhill from there. Now I've got a pretty large 5u with lots of vintage and Modern Moog thrown in for good measure. All roads lead to modular, and it's all because of Brian Kehew.
@@Rhythmicons That's great - and a good reminder of how this whole music hobby is steeped in history, both our own and that of the brands and technologies that got us to where we are! Thanks for the comments =)
Thank you! The MF-101 was the best filter I’ve ever owned. So smooth and “creamy” and I never found much of an issue with noise/hiss. I like a more lofi sound so I don’t pay THAT much attention to noise floor, but it didn’t even register to me so I think you’re good 👍. No extra treatment was done to the audio in this video, but it’s an old one so it was recorded into a zoom h4n pro recorder which wasn’t the cleanest but still pretty accurate I’d say.
@@Duskmos your feedback was very helpful! I am looking forward to owning this pedal. I have subscribed to your channel and looking forward to learning more from you! Many thanks
Hey! Thanks for the subscription! That’s cool! Yeah I really liked it on drums, you can really find some cool interactions between the two and really make things a bit more interesting to the ear :)
Oh no! Yeah they weren't in the most demand even a few years ago, they've really blown up in value after they discontinued them! Definitely hang onto the MF-101 haha, sounds like a good retirement plan! ;)
Been going through all your various videos of pedals and what a treat to watch for entertainment and education! Thanks for sharing with us!
I really appreciate it! These kinds of comments keep me motivated to keep it going. 🙌
Your vids are getting real professional
Hey thank you!! I’ve been putting more into it the last 6 months or so! Glad it looks to be paying off :)
"Good sounding for a Ring Modulator" it's probably the best sounding one out there and full-featured as well.

Love this demo! I plan to use mf101 with a synth. How noisy/hissy are they? Thank you

@@Duskmos Happy to see Moogerfoogers with Elektron gear.. Subbed 👍
@@lockyp204 They work really well together! And thanks for the sub!! 😀
I regret selling my ring mod for less than 200 bucks, like 10 years ago. Still have the filter though, gonna sell that when I’m 75 for like 5 grand
