That looks great but wouldn't it be easier to just build a frame out of spare bricks so they are all fixed in the same position and then put superglue on the back of all the slopes and then fix the entire assembly to the card so that you don't have to align all the slopes on your own?
when you’re trying to figure out the placement of the lego pieces you could build a grid out of lego with open spots in it where you want the bricks you are gonna glue on to be, that way they are all at a perfect spacing from each other, great video tho it was funny
Not the Skinny Legend reference 😂😂 I loved this tutorial. As for my current displaying methods, I was lucky and found what I have recently discovered to be a “Select Merchandise Company”-brand wooden display case with a glass window on the door. It’s 3 rows of 4 little cubbies that are 2 inches by 2.5 inches, which is perfect for minifigures on the minifigure stands. I don’t even have to glue the stands down so I can move them at any time. I currently have my Disney Villains minifigures in there: Captain Hook, Ursula, Jafar, & Hades, as well as Syndrome & Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean. I have a Maleficent but she has gone missing so if I can’t find her soon I’ll probably get her on BrickLink. I have the empty spots labeled with the minifigures coming out in May: Evil Queen, Queen of Hearts, Cruella de Vil, Dr. Facilier, & Ernesto de la Cruz. I don’t care to have Prince John but if I do get him I’ll probably take Syndrome out.
You are entertaining and easy to follow. Thank you for this easy display. I have minifigs in wood curio wall shelves, the kind that have all the little cubbies. But they’re heavy and not great for putting in the wall if you’re renting-and the mini gigs get dusty. Shadow boxes are an excellent idea. One way to make the measuring easier. Once you’ve sorted out how far apart you want your rows to be, cut and extra strip of card stock to that size and use it to measure each new row. You can mark how far apart you’re going to put each block too. Or, make yourself a template the way you made the card , with blocks put on temporarily. Trace each block, take the blocks off, then cut out each block shape. Now use that as a template for each new frame you make
Tell people that the gaping hole is just where Alderaan was until the empire blew it up Great display idea as I have a few looney tunes mini figs I need to display
i display them with their sets and for the ones that didnt come with a set i use the lego tape so i can just cut it to the size i need and then place it on the wall and display my figures but it works better for noemal figs with normal legs and mid legs anything else requires a brick with a stud on the side and if theres a back accesory it needs to come out a little bit more
I have bookshelfs and such and if they aren't with the built set, I have them lined up like an army but each line is shifted on the gap so they aren't staring directly into the figure's back that's in front of them, lol. I should do a bleachers build one of these days since I have plenty of spare LEGO now.
To line each inverted slope properly I would attach one or two really long pieces across a whole row of them so they are the right distance apart and then glue them down. After the glue has dried you’d then remove the long pieces
I put all my blind bag CMF figs in frames like this but rather than putting the figs on bricks, I buy 3rd party base plates and use them as a backplate for the frame. This way the stands for the figs fit at right angles in the groove between the studs on the backplate without having to glue anything in place. This way you can also use the studs on the backplate as reference for spacing the figures out
just a question do you have the rare Mr. Gold Minifigure from series 10 If not that's okay me to and I'm not buying one because they go for about 4,000 AUD!
Thanks Holly. You did it again. You made laugh so much I have to pause rewind replay cause I’m missing something. 16 to 18 is perfect for blind bag minifig series to fit or whomever. Well Done.🤠Mega Vader?
The tutorial was very entertaining, especially the references to a ruler..... if only lego also made long straight pieces that connected to those other pieces to keep them in a line that could then be removed later..... :-)
Just throwing this out there in case someone hasn't said it before buuuut, Brickvault makes custom frames for their website. All wood, your pick of color they have and each row has studs for each minifig. Just in case if you wanted to buy something already built.
I made a couple DIY frames for my cmfs a few years ago that each old a 48x48 baseplate as the backdrop. On that are 2x4s with studs on the sides with the minfig plates attached (it's seeming hard to describe but there are a couple videos on my channel about them). Only trouble is there is no glass so they are open to dust 😢
Oh no, she used glue. You could build the frame out LEGO pieces, while still using the sheet of glass from the frame. That way you don't have to glue bricks and worry about alignment.
I have a 64 inch by 29 inch sheet of ply wood that is painted white with wooden shelves going horizontally with mayka block tape on top for the figure to stand on it can hold over 400 Minifigures!
super weird but, i dont display minifigs alone, i either display them with their sets, but usually i actually play with them, you know, how legos are meant to be enjoyed
Thank you so much for the tutorial Holly! Your display turned out great! 😍👍🏻 I’ll definitely consider making a display frame for my minifigures in the future. 😉🤩 Greetings from Cancun, Mexico! 🇲🇽🏝

We know where Ryan went and what she did to him with that pencil.
@@poafibricks414 Ya'll are weird
When did holly start doing so many memes and funny things in her vids?

Love the creativity! And the lack of dust lmao
The most entertaining DIY lego project on RUclips.
This video is absolutely golden

This new era of LEGO you tubers like you and TD bricks are really good!
This is really creative and alright younglings and flip it and reverse it like Missy Elliot lol 😂 😂 😂
Amazing, I like your candid presentation style "social distancing or else they will wack each other" haa haa...
when you’re trying to figure out the placement of the lego pieces you could build a grid out of lego with open spots in it where you want the bricks you are gonna glue on to be, that way they are all at a perfect spacing from each other, great video tho it was funny
Great idea, love your humour!!!! 😆😆😆😆😆
This is really useful thx!
A fine addition to your collection.
That's pretty cool and handy
Simple and cheap. Good idea.
Thanks for sharing that.
Pretty funny commentary too. 😂
Awesome frame. Looks like a super cool project.
I like the comedy thrown in
Your frame is very impressive, you must be very proud
The frame looks so cool! Maybe I’m gonna make one myself, thanks for this video 👍
I display the figures with the sets, like dioramas or Star Wars/Harry Potter scenes
I just recently subscribed and I am very impressed with how great your videos are and they have been very entertaining! Keep up the great work!
Nice minifigures DIY Display
Star Wars figs are pretty goated not gonna lie
Thanks dude

Ahaha this vid was great, cool to see some other Aussie LEGO fans 👏👏
Good idea! Looks nice! If you could find 12x12 frame you could pattern cardstock to match the theme! Like Star Wars and Harry Potter!
Absolutely loving your content I love that you upload daily and your videos are amazing. Keep up the good work.

Nice. Where do you get those figurines? Some LEGO pack?
My wife made me one the same way you did! So good haha!
Looks more simple and hard than easy
This is a really great idea! I’ve currently been dealing with dust on my figures so this is so helpful.
I have every newer Harry Potter figure in plastic bags waiting to be set up like this 😅 great idea!
Cool Project.

I put my minifigures on a clear drawer also how do you take out the mini figures in the frame or it just stays in the frame?
Awsome video, I'm going to try to make one of these!

Looks nice! I just Wonder is that frame 23x23 cm?
Yeah it is, 23x23cm or 9x9 inches
@@HollyOnFilm thx
Great video! I have a few of the LEGO minifigure cases, I think they look good enough for what they are
Are you gonna pick up the new AT AT from the lego star wars summer wave
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🙀 great idea, you are hilarious. Bout time we had an entertaining Aussie home grown lego tuber. 💙🇦🇺🧱🐨💙
IS GLUING BRICKS A LEGAL BUILDING TECHNIQUE??? hmmmmmm... (awesome diy btw! i might give it a go myself)
I'm will I to break the law >_>
Nice idea! How deep is the frame?
I feel like it would look better if it was made of Lego. Still looks great.
just a question do you have the rare Mr. Gold Minifigure from series 10

Nah I wish, I was never lucky enough to find one but I'll never pay the massive price to costs to get one
I want that SW collection
I normally display my minifigures near Lego sets on a small table and shelves :)
This was funny
how they print the image behind the figures? there are a lots of displays that they sell online
Actually cool lol
I will try this but instead of cardboard I will try a baseplate. Hope it will work
I never thought makeup could be so useful
I need todo this
Thanks Holly. You did it again. You made laugh so much I have to pause rewind replay cause I’m missing something. 16 to 18 is perfect for blind bag minifig series to fit or whomever. Well Done.🤠Mega Vader?
Why didn't you simply make rulers from lego bricks, for both perfect vertical and horisontal alignment ? :D
The tutorial was very entertaining, especially the references to a ruler..... if only lego also made long straight pieces that connected to those other pieces to keep them in a line that could then be removed later..... :-)

Question: Is the frame too thin for big-figs?

Nice ❤️
Decent tutorial I might try in the future when my room in the loft does not have dam horizontal walls that I got my head on
would it be easier to start with the top row and move down, that way you can line them all up with a flat surface easier?
In hindsight, 100% yes.
@@HollyOnFilm You'll get em next time!
Oh no, she used glue. You could build the frame out LEGO pieces, while still using the sheet of glass from the frame. That way you don't have to glue bricks and worry about alignment.
It looks really professional. Maybe you can put pictures on the background
Hi Holly, have you heard of mayka brick tape? It is great product for making display cases and you don't have to lose your Lego bricks
What do you do for big figs?
I personally use bootleg lego display cases and authentic cases because where I live I don't have an ikea close to me
You are way too underrated
I have a 64 inch by 29 inch sheet of ply wood that is painted white with wooden shelves going horizontally with mayka block tape on top for the figure to stand on it can hold over 400 Minifigures!

There are more ways to enjoy them then playing with them. Her just like me like to display our collections.
cool
I display my Harry Potter minifigures on the builds and my ninjago minifigures all in order on a couple base plates
u dont trust me with a pen :( .. .
im gonna whip out my bricks now
Ikea now have the SANNAHED frames instead, practically the same product
Holly I was on Ash’s last stream, but you’re crazy.
does anyone know what the bricks are actually called
Thank you so much for the tutorial Holly! Your display turned out great! 😍👍🏻
