I think it's cool if he puts the longer edits on Patreon. I don't know what he does, but another channel I follow does that and they also put the same video up on RUclips for Members. So you get something on either platform of your choice. I think they also do other special things for higher tiers on Patreon but idk exactly what.
A lot of people get mad at the movies for missing or changing things from the books. But the movies added so much visual interest to the series. They took "small thatched cottages" and created a amazing looking quaint little village with it's own character.
Bit more consistency would have been great. The castle changes its layout with every movie, especially noticeable with the two main bridges and Hagrid's hut.
Yeah I’m pretty heavily pro-books, but Hogwarts is one of the few I prefer over the books in my own head-canon. The Hogwarts Legacy Hogwarts is basically perfect
My biggest annoyance with this is the beginning of HBP. There was a LOT of important stuff in the second chapter that was left out. Things that movie-only people will never know.
Jazza, I love this so much, and I'm sad that RUclips has scared you into making this as short as it is, because I could have watched so much more of this..
That's why you make a few shorts that lead to the longer videos, but don't let him fool you. He cries and whines about making a patreon, but he wants everybody to watch the full video over there. He is the only youtuber that has 6.5 million followers, 3 commercials in a 12 min video, a sponsor and he is crying on here that it is such a hard decision to make a patreon. I don't have a problem with him making as much money as he can but it's the way he went about it that makes me angry. He actually made a video crying that he just had to make a patreon because he didn't make enough money. It's a brilliant marketing scheme. But disgusting at the same time.
I love that despite being more simplistic it looks more "realistic" of a castle and surrounding area than it does in the movies. especially in relation to the size/ ie the number of people who supposedly live there
I used to watch Jazza years ago. For whatever reason, I just kinda stopped. This is the first Jazza video I’ve watched in a long time. Jazza, on the slim chance you see this, I want to say that you genuinely helped me through so much. You’re incredible and I’m so freaking happy you’re still making content. I seriously hope you’re doing good these days. You deserve all the love and support in the world man. Thank you for everything. 💜💜💜
That forest montage was incredibly satisfying. I could only imagine it was a huge time sink, but I could have watched a 10 minute video just on that And what a video for a black magic sponsor.. that's too good
I just want to say how much you mean to me and all your subscribers. You have helped me with my willingness to draw. I went through a pretty hard time in my life and I didn’t want to do anything, until I saw your channel, it’s made me want to get more in touch with my creative side and I just want to give you a big thankyou in all that you have done for me and so many more. Keep doing what your doing because you are an amazing talented person ❤ I can’t wait to see we’re this channel goes, I have ordered you art pro box thing (I can’t remember what it’s called) and I can’t wait to use everything. You probably won’t see this but thankyou so much
One of the massive boards he did, appeared in a recent tabletop time vid. It was looted for several buildings. Edit: Got the channels the wrong way round I think
Jazza you seem so much happier and enthusiastic. I definitely feel the difference that asking for help has done. It’s a good thing for sure! Well done!
Really well done. My favourite aspect has to be the lake, because I’m just a sucker for any kind of “water” feature in a diorama/model. But, shouldn’t there be a singular house out on the edge of Hogsmeade, with all of its windows and doors boarded up? A house said to be the most haunted in Britain and known for its shrieking…
Oh my all-things-wizardly!!! Why do i want to cry tears of joy. Seeing you dabble so these years and now witnessing these stunning dives just astounds me. I'm so proud of you for accomplishing so much and following your dreams!! Well done
It's sad that RUclips has scared you into making your videos shorter. I honestly could have sat here watching this for hour or longer. That said, it's still an awesome project. Truly magical. Well done! 👏😁
You inspired me to start trying all sorts of different Art! And I always love learning new ways and styles of art from you! This turned out absolutely amazing!! Your dedication is absolutely astounding and truly inspiring! And I just wanna say I'm so happy I became a Patreon! Much love from Norway!
Normally I often feel like you put just slightly too much of your own flair into things whenever you make book-accurate versions of something but I gotta say, this is probably the most book accurate representation of Hogwarts I've ever seen! You even remembered the greenhouses! The only things I could think of to make this even more book accurate would be if you painted the windows to the Slytherin common room just below the waterline by the cliff but this is still really well done and I'd say extremely accurate.
I stopped watching you for a year or two and I must say I regret not watching all of your videos up to now, please make more of these types of videos, and don’t be scared of making them longer!
NOW we need a project making the castle based on the MOVIES adaptation of hogwarts grounds. I'd love to see a mini shreiking shack or the stone courtyard with mini statues and fountains
My kitten Teddy is fascinated. He came to sit on my lap for the first time since i got him for your video so cheers! In my own opinion, great video, beautiful effort and results, and love watching you make all of these maps and miniatures
I started listening to the audiobooks of Harry Potter about 2 weeks ago and when I got to prisoner of Azkaban and Lupin's transformation, I had to look up what the format of the actual Castle grounds look like. So the fact that this just got recommended to me is absolutely amazing!!!
You've always been exstearmly genuine kind of person who was so passionate about his art and you didnt hide it with what you could create Your emotions were always real. And just the absolute love and excitement you express is so refreshing for me to see since I started following you yrs ago..I normally don't gravit twords ppl that put out social mrdia type of art on RUclips or ticktok or any other social platform alot of ppl didn't do it for the love of art . I see that you enjoy art as much as I do ..that's hard to find these days anymore the real emotions and excitement from pushing boundaries and creating such beautiful pieces. Thank ypu Jazza for being ecsactly who you are, the passionate artist who inspired me to begin creating again.. I found that child Inside me who wants to create and get excited to create art I had lost it . You will be remembered and loved for yrs yrs and try just as Bob Ros has.
Being in the fortunate position to live in a town with a football stadium, that also has a castle nearby, I can confirm that when I look on Google maps the stadium genuinely covers almost twice as much space as the castle. Even Windsor Castle (the largest castle in the uk) is only about the same size as a standard football stadium.
castles aren't that big and Hogwarts doesn't actually have that many students either. it doesn't really need to be that wide. Hogwarts also has many floors so it's height could make up for anything they need.
Seeing such a huge part of my adolescence come to life like this, as accurate as possible, was so exciting and even a little ... emotional? Thanks, Jazza. You are The Man. It reminds me of how I felt in anticipation for the very first movie. I didn't know that there was a sort of official map drawn by JKR, so this is the first time I've seen this.
Not gonna lie, as someone who creates maps for authors, when you transferred the map over, I was worried the scale would not work, lol. This was so awesome and I would've watched a video three times as long! You and your team's work is some of the best, and we all want to watch as much as we can.
man I love this things, you're by far one of the most creative content creators in youtube right now, hope you keep making more like these (please please next one be the about the stormlight archive)
Jazza! You should do a full map of Hyrule(whatever Legend of Zelda game you wish to choose). Personally I think the map from Ocarina of time would be awesome and you would do an amazing job. Thank you for all that you do Jazza!
I'm very grateful to you Jazza. Your work has helped me through some really rough times lately. I can't thank you enough for your positivity, energy and openness. You're very inspiring as a fellow artist, keeping me pushing toward my own goals.
Jazza! I know this doesn’t have anything to do with the video, but I have a cool video idea! You know how glaze for painting pottery is usually a milky white? I think it would be super cool if you did a blind glazing for pottery! Have the glazes unmarked to where you don’t know what color they are and paint some pots with them, fire them, and see how they turn out! Just a goofy gif idea, but I thought this would be super cool! 😁🙏
Jazza, I would like to suggest to you and your team to hold an exhibition for the public to view in-person all of the beautiful art pieces that you and your team have done. It's totally deserves more than just a video on RUclips.
These are beautiful!! Would love to see you keeping making more of these fictional worlds! Just saw the Shire and little hangleton graveyard and would love to see more like this!!!
Awesome Jazza. Amazing details of Hogwarts on a grand scale! Glad to know you have heard our request to do Harry Potter diaromas 🎉 Potterheads thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Incredible. I would have watched hours of this project so please don't be afraid to make longer videos, just stumbled across your channel and this is SO COOL!
Hey, Jazza. Huge fan of yours - I've been watching for about ten years (since right around your first studio move, I saw your mural painting video basically when it came out), and I've always loved your content. I even have your two Spectrum Noir boxes. With that said, this video felt a bit... off, for me. It seemed more like a step by step guide rather than a story of how you made the map, frustrations and favorite bits included. Personality has always been my favorite part of your content, personally, and it feels a bit sterilized in that regard. Criticism aside, the map looks awesome and it's cool to see the more TTRPG/map building stuff on your main channel :) Great work, it looks like it would be a lot of fun to have a gaming session on there.
Looks absolutely amazing, I love it.=)You poured lil Hogsmeade houses like peas. That was hillarious=D And the lighting in the end was something else. Looks like a peaceful morning=)
You are insanely talented, the words in the dictionary cannot describe how amazing, creative and talented you are!!!! You’re dedication and determination is wonderful
The layout of the castle from above reminds me of Culzean castle, which sits on a cliff overlooking the sea...and also has a lake on the grounds, and fancy gates.
Excellent job! And the video was NOT too short. Honestly 15min max is what I'm looking for. You gave enough information, I didn't need to see you work on every single house or, for me, the video would have been way too long. Amazing result - looks awesome.
You need to make a second part in which you add banners of the houses, the greenhouses, the shrieking shack, little students and little details from the books, maybe even the battle of hogwarts.
@@spiderlily723It's the author who is the problem. Not the franchise. I do agree with you that she is highly problematic and shouldn't be supported, but we can still enjoy the story/world without supporting her. She doesn't gain anything from videos like this. So I don't see a problem with Jazza doing a second part.
@@spiderik_art3092...and giving her any platform is making people want to buy things from her frenchise, thus giving her massive exposure and funding bigotry. You can enjoy the story, but giving it free publicity is not 'enjoying' it, it's profiting.
This was outstanding! Great job! Jazza, you're transparency is great. Thank you for doing what is insanely difficult to do. (The art is difficult sure) but navigating the RUclips Algorithm, the unknown results of all of your other hard work to make the video, that's not for the faint of heart. I am a fan and will continue following you as long as you are making content.
@theaces3697 Most human beings often make the same mistake. The less you know about a certain topic, the more you think you know and profess so confidently. The greater your knowledge on that topic, the more you realize how much there is to learn. He is willing to learn the corrections and own up to his mistakes/misinformation. I don't think that makes anyone a "dummy." To each their own; I just wanted to hear you out as I'm sure someone else will be extremely defensive.
Spectacular work! I love how deep looking the Loch turned out. Would definitely enjoy spending more time watching the build as I love the process of things being made😊
This has been an incredible process to watch. I love that used the intended map rather than an interpretation. Makes it more unique to how people imagined it in the books than the Hogwarts people are used to seeing now.
I love it!! A really great idea and very fun to watch! Tysm for sharing this really cool project! I especially loved the trees, landscaping and the methods used for the lake including adding (what I assume was a type of glue) to the surface for the waves! Loved it!!
Well Hogwarts kept changing its looks up to the Deathly Hollows, every single movie had either changes to the castle building, its location, its surroundings or all of the above.
It’s because the production designer, Stuart Craig, didn’t like how Hogwarts looked in the first movie (for some reason?) even tho everyone else did. It had minor changes and additions made in Chamber, but none that drastically altered the layout. That wasn’t until Prisoner of Azkaban started production and Alfonso Cuarón, the new director, wanted to make massive changes to the Hogwarts layout to make it feel more alive and more fantasy like (which Stuart Craig was on board with). That’s pretty much why Hogwarts kept changing so much after Chamber of Secrets, even tho personally I’ve always liked the original layout and design of Hogwarts that they had in the first two films
This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen! It's amazing what Jazza has managed to do with foam, glue, and sticks. I love this! I'm sitting here watching Hogwarts get built while I'm wearing my Ravenclaw hoodie.
i'm so glad people are paying to keep enjoying this content, you honestly deserve it so much, the amount of effort that you guys put into each video it's just something else.
This is how I roughly imagined it when I read the books. Note that I watched the films before I read the books, so I'm not sure how my brain didn't use the film version as the default for my imagination. Amazing video Jazza, try not to overwork yourself.
This was amazing! If there was anything I wanted to know, is where the Shrieking Shack is located. It was a little bit out of Hogsmeade, but definitely a part of the small village. Also regarding Hogwarts itself...I've seen the pictures from the movies, arts from books, and now this video...I sometimes feel that every Hogwarts version is too small. I know we get to see the insides a lot in the movies, and the inside is very well described, but the Castle itself just sounds extremely massive. Maybe I just can't comprehend the size of the towers. It's also a bit about size versus how many people there are in the Castle when it's school season. I think the movies managed to get some of the size in the first movie, when they were taking boats over the black lake.
Glad to see your channel back on my feed, this project turned out amazing! Love to see how many mediums you’ve learned and that you’ve been able to incorporate into these larger scale pieces. ❤
As always, I'm impressed by the dedication, attention to detail but specially the PATIENCE needed to make possible all these fantastic creations and pieces of art. It doesn't matter how long the video may be, it's always delightful and even relaxing to watch. Great job!
this is such an awesome epic build, I could watch for hours. I love how the winged boars for the front gate looked like little friendly winged piglets.
I love this so much :D I find it funny that the greenhouses are nowhere in the original drawing, but the whomping willow is. Gives you an idea of where JK's mind was at when she made it, I suppose.
I'm sorry Jazza, but this project seems you kinda went lazy with it... There's very little detail going, no lights, there's nothing EXTRA that I always expected from you.
2:00 bricks are way out of scale 🤦♂🤦♂Nothing fits together in terms of scale. Castle is way to small, Quiddich arena way to big, houses to small ... 🤦♂🤦♂

“Let’s get poopie.” As a mom to a 2 yo, those are some scary words! 😂
The layout of the castle from above reminds me of Culzean castle, which sits on a cliff overlooking the sea...and also has a lake on the grounds, and fancy gates.
Loved the video JAZZA! Won't mind longer videos!
Or he could work on a frenchise not paying for bigotry, you know.
Jazza saying "Castle" in a shouty voice made me realise how related he and Shad really are.
Too bad Shad is a dummy.
@@FibahWhy do you think that?
@@Fibah they kinda both are but that's the charm.
@@justjay4586 well he says things with such confidence and a cocky attitudie but is wrong about a lot of stuff
Would definitely enjoy spending more time watching the build as I love the process of things being made😊
This looks amazing! What a satisfying build to watch!!
Cool!!! Two great videos about two great books! Happy returning Jazza!
Cool! Nice. I've always loved making dioramas.
Oh jazza!! You're amazing... You literally have magic in your hands...keep growing
this is amazing! I love the accuracy!
I'm always blown away by the structures from this channel! It was a happy coincidence while I'm rereading the series at the moment :)
Awesome build as always!
Your creativity and imagination are inspirations to the world. I smile everytime I see your creations come to life. Thank you.
looks so good 😭 ngl i expected castle to be bigger but i trust your scale. also could you PLEASE add dumbeldore’s grave 🥹🥹
Jazza at 6.35 u scared the shit outta me 😂😂😂 love what u made it looks brilliant ❤❤❤
i'm so glad people are paying to keep enjoying this content, you honestly deserve it so much, the amount of effort that you guys put into each video it's just something else.
This is how I roughly imagined it when I read the books. Note that I watched the films before I read the books, so I'm not sure how my brain didn't use the film version as the default for my imagination. Amazing video Jazza, try not to overwork yourself.
Best project EVER!!!!😮❤
Hey Jazza, next you could add scents to the project to make it smell like Hogwarts.
your talent always amazes me, and patience.i'd have broken so many bit's, it would resemble the castle seige at the end. Thank you J
Jazza, you are a phenomenal artist and truly deserve all the love and praise you receive.
The lake is FIRE!!!
Amazing project, as always!
After seeing you do this and the LOTR maps, I’d really like to see a Legends of Zelda map of Hyrule
Yes pls that would be amazing
Yes!
Glad to see your channel back on my feed, this project turned out amazing! Love to see how many mediums you’ve learned and that you’ve been able to incorporate into these larger scale pieces. ❤
Should at least be a 20 minute video. If Nerdforge can go that long so can you
This is awesome, and I’m glad you’re getting the support you deserve. We love you, Jazza ❤
Omg this is amazing and just like my own image of hogwarts. I wish you could have given us a longer view of it. It is super awesome
I really wish I had the time or money to make things like this
As always, I'm impressed by the dedication, attention to detail but specially the PATIENCE needed to make possible all these fantastic creations and pieces of art. It doesn't matter how long the video may be, it's always delightful and even relaxing to watch. Great job!
who remembers when Jazza used to make drawing videos?
The fact that the castle in scale is smaller than the quidditch pitch is grinding my gears. Still an epic map though, love these vids from you jazza.
The movies version of Hogwarts is so much better than the original look
Fantastic job, Jazza! I would love to see more projects like this! I think a map of Narnia would be really cool too!
Love the project but I would have preferred some more details (nerdforge style) and variance. Especially in the castle and village
We love you so much Jazza. Lol, "dirty black magic" LOL. Great work, love your humor!
I LOVE Harry Potter and this build is AMAZING!!!
Also, poop and sprinkles is such an accurate name for that process
you're living the life! getting to do awesome projects like this as your job :) well done!
I literally started playing Hogwarts Legacy yesterday, and drew my character this morning. Talk about coincidence.
this is such an awesome epic build, I could watch for hours. I love how the winged boars for the front gate looked like little friendly winged piglets.
Hogwarts legacy got it pretty close to that map
I love this so much :D
I find it funny that the greenhouses are nowhere in the original drawing, but the whomping willow is. Gives you an idea of where JK's mind was at when she made it, I suppose.
I'm sorry Jazza, but this project seems you kinda went lazy with it... There's very little detail going, no lights, there's nothing EXTRA that I always expected from you.
Yeeeessss! Very cool, absolutely love it, great work Jazza!
2:00 bricks are way out of scale 🤦♂🤦♂Nothing fits together in terms of scale. Castle is way to small, Quiddich arena way to big, houses to small ... 🤦♂🤦♂
you make it then
yes, make it. Show us your “skill” you so clearly have.
Seeing this made me so much more emotional than seeing the grounds in Legacy. Your true-to-book approach is so very appreciated and beautifully done!
Bruh it's a shame Rowling went insane coz it's killed any love I had for the series :/ that being said, everything that jazza makes is excellent
2:35 Missed opportunity to levitate something with your wand and show that its not being pulled up by strings lol
The TERF movies? Wth. I'll definitely not come back to this channel ever again
Lmao, your loss.
Just the sheer amount of details you put in is just *chefs kiss*
