I own the 2012 Fiat 500.The unit you replaced is not the PCV valve. You were hosed because you bought the whole assembly (Oil/Air Separator box). The PCV valve is five bucks and it screws into the box you unnecessarily replaced. You can use the PCV valve from the 2014-15 turbo unit. It`s the same valve for five bucks. Then, just clean the Oil/Air-box with brake cleaner. The savings would have paid for the spark plugs. Furthermore, you need to replace the O-ring (like the fellow mentioned below), otherwise it will leak and cause smoke smell in the cabin. ruclips.net/video/1OMEfjVB3JU/видео.html ruclips.net/video/Q-0Ewc3KSJ4/видео.html
Good video, (( I fixed my leak )) I had the same issue but all it took was a new “O-ring” got it at autozone from the o-ring rack and made sure to get it a little fatter so that it would make a better seal around it and it worked this happened 2015 so about 3 years and haven’t seen anymore oil leak. Another thing i did was add some hose clamps on that tube so prevent any oil leaks because i was able to see oil wetness starting to build there to. Was there anything wrong with that pcv valve or was it because of the oil???
Given the mileage on your daughter's car, have you inspected/changed the transmission fluid? I have a 2013 Sport model and am curious about this -- don't really trust the "lifetime" and "maintenance free" claim for the fluid/tranmission. Thanks!
Hello my Friend. We are not interested in how it works inside there, but given that this engine has a serious design flaw, namely, it does not start after a long stop (more than 2 weeks) despite the operable kinematics of the control of valves by the Multiair module due to oil leakage from the module and the formation of air pockets in it. This disadvantage is exacerbated by the traditionally high oil consumption in this engine and the user can actually miss the critical moment of adding oil to the engine. In my case, this happened, the oil level dropped, when braking or tilting the car through the suction pipe, air got into the oil system (Multiair module hydraulics sistem) from the crankcase and the engine stopped. After topping up the oil, attempts to start the engine were unsuccessful. At the same time, compression and spark in all cylinders disappeared in the engine. The last oil 5W40 change was - 8000 km. back. The filt Multiair module er turned out to be clean, the mileage of the car is 960,000 km., the condition of the engine is good. Questions: 1. How can I bleed the Multiair module and remove air from it? 2. What is the luMultiair module brication scheme. 3. Why is there a small ball valve on the , from Multiair module he top under the filler neck? what is its function? Some experts in Utah advise pouring 240-280 ml through it into the Multiair module oil and then try to start the engine againe. I tried topping up, but nothing came of it, because the hole (1 mm) is very small. Senserly yours. Igor Groza 18.01.22 igorgroza1957@gmail.com
Does anyone know what could be wrong with my Fiat I change the spark plugs and I changed the fourth coil pack after my check engine light popped up went for about a month now my check engine light is back and my MPGs are going down day by day
Thanks for the video! I have 46k miles on a recently purchased 500 pop. Should I be looking under my air box for oil residue? What other stuff should I be looking for? Do you know anything about the squeaky drivers side front suspension? Sort of a squeak clunk going over bumps. I've also heard horror stories about the ball joints. I do really like the car. I wanna whip it into tip top shape because I have to drive the wheels off it for work.
I recently had head gasket replaced at 97K --- oil had fouled one of my spark plugs --- a good idea to look for fouling and gunk residue on your coil boots too
The 2013 manual only lists the gap for the Abarth model, you have to check the 2012 manual for the right parts. After dozens of phone calls to my local dealer, FCA and NGK (OEM), I managed to figure that out before placing the order. You can find the spark plug on amazon for a good price; model no. DCPR7E-N-10
Excellent! Thank you! Short and sweet! My 2012 has 60k and was sitting for 5 months. Full charge on battery, turns over, will not start. Bad gas? (Half tank) bad battery? What do you all think?
@@raulg8390 I had the same issue. Issue was a seized alternator and new serp. belt. Replaced and it fired right up. Engine would not turn over fast enough to start the engine.

You may have to change your valve cover gasket if you found oil in your spark plug wells also. Thanks for the video
Anywho ❓❓❤️. When I'm forgetting something thank you for the video
that o ring sealing the pcv to the engine has been known to fail
Good video, (( I fixed my leak ))

Don't forget the oring seal for the oil separator
I found the same issue with Oil in the first plug also. I had to replace the Coil in the first one as well.

Hi,
I have a 2012 fiat 500 Pop . No crank , No start , do you know where is starter relay located? Thanks

You may need a dealership
Thank you
Thank you good sir! 👍

Great video
Yea mine did the same thing at 30,000 oil seeping out into the spark plugs.
Admitted rookie here. Why the aluminum foil on the hose? Does it provide some kind of extra protection?
Thanks much for the tutorial.
Heat protection. Reflects heats. Not necessary but may extend the life of the hose..
2revrev2 - Thx. 😊

That clunking and squeaky sounds are normal for these cars, bought mine new and with 80,000 miles now still does it.
Do you recall the gap on the plugs you used? Manual says 0.026, but parts stores say 0.040. Thanks for the instructions.

James Porter What did you use? I measured my dealer ones and they were anywhere from .036 to .040. Manual says .026 like you say.

Did you find a solution?
I am on a same boat
Same.. Looking for solutions
Try prolonged start (40 seconds)

Why replace the AOS ? It is a very simple device that requires little or no maintenance. Just take it off periodically and give it a flush.
Cuz I prefer to
Great video , wow fuckin mechanic wanted to charge me $3000 for top engine tear down
Did you get a new hose or were you able to reuse the one on the front of the valve box?
Shit fiat was going to charge me 240.00 to change the plugs take 15 minutes?
You don’t have to unplug the coil modules, those plugs are a pna to mess with.
What gas mileage do you get with you Fiat 500? Do you run premium fuel?
Yes always premium! Otherwise it smokes and doesn't run well
HOW DID YOU DIRED THE OIL FORM THE CYLINDER
How did you notice you need it to be replaced?
Javier Siado I seen oil in the air filter box. Also a puff of smoke upon starting.
Hey my lady film his #$&@$$ (sorry as) just meßsin with him really nice you said like I always been saying
DONT FILM 🎥 ME PLEASE 🤪
