It is mid-summer now, but this video is too beautiful to confine to a few weeks of the year. The arrangement is fantastic, the setting otherworldly, and the rendition a masterpiece. Home Free's band members have changed since this came out, and just changed again recently, but their unique style continues on. Christmas in July!!! Anytime is great to hear this song by Home Free. It's my favorite Christmas song by them. On the silly side , their arrangement of "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer", is a good one too, and also "Christmas Cheer" written by Tim Faust. Actually, I can't think of a Christmas song by Home Free that I don't like. Caught them in concert on April 10th in Midland, Ohio. So glad I did as this was Austin's last tour with them. Will catch them again in Greensburg, PA in the Fall with new member Adam Bastian.
Really so good and beautifully arranged video by Adam Rupp. How great does this sound? It is truly magnificent!!! One by one the members are really incredible. And then also the ice, the environment. And even if it's summer, I can play it every day
My favorite version of this song and my favorite HF Christmas carol. The song originally was sung by the Harry Simeone Chorale in 1962. Bing Crosby released his version in 1963, and it was a hit. Crosby's version is probably the most popular. Anyway, the song was written during the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962, making the line "Pray for peace..." even more poignant. As for me, my right ear still remembers Tim's E1 note for "gold!" 😊 Thanks for some Christmas in July. 😊

Yay! Christmas in July!! Thanks! And yes we have ice castles every year as part of our winter celebration. It was started in St. Paul over 50 years ago. That ice castle didn't survive well because it was warm for us in the frigid northland. Google Ice Castles,St. Paul,Minnesota. You will see some masterpieces. They are made with ice blocks cut out of the lakes. Just magnificent. One was 2 blocks away from me. I took my children to see it. It's cold. Adam Rupp arranged this.
One of my favorites and Adam did a great arrangement. The boys say they hate doing his arrangements though as they’re too complicated…hahaha. The ice castle was a great venue for this video. I’m surprised the ice stayed intact with Tim’s lows. Everyone was so good. Good one Saeed. No problem doing Christmas songs in July!!

For Mary, Did You Know, I think it is great to compare Pentatonix, Home Free, and Voctave featuring Mark Lowry. Mark Lowry wrote and originated the song, and gives an amazing performance with Voctave, all the more amazing given that he uses a stool because of his Multiple Sclerosis.
