This was exactly the description of the list that I was looking for this afternoon. All of them look really interesting. I think I'll start with "Restless" by William Boyd. I feel like a good spy novel but I could start with any of them, really, except the Hilary Mantel. I love the story so far, I love the period, but that is a whopper! August - those long hot days when you don't want to move - that's when I'll sink into a book like that.
Thank you. I had no idea this had been run before, so many thanks for highlighting it. I need to get to know my local library in Arundel once it opens again, but in the meantime I've ordered from Waterstones: The Boy, The Mole ..., looks an ideal coffee table book to delve into. Where the Crawdads Sing, and The Architect's Apprentice. Elif Shafak's 10minutes 38Seconds bowled me over and I still well up whenever I think about it. Looking forward to #TheReadingRoom !!
Hi. They say that literature makes people intelligent making wise decisions. Pride and Prejudice and Pygmalion show I would say some people behaving in an impolite way towards others in the specific books. Studying them nowadays with the knowledge we have Mr Darcy and Elizabeth as well as Higgins and Eliza are not really romantic examples.
Great video, glad I found you.

Thank you for the video. HRH The Duchess of Cornwall is a total Goddess! Love her to pieces!
