In the comments below, let me know WHICH Airbnb experience you want to take and WHY? WINNER: I will pick my favorite answer by next Wednesday and announce the winner on my social platforms Jan 23, next Thursday, when I post my next video.”🙌
I would choose the Home-Cooked Flavours of Singapore. I have been wanting to travel there since seeing Crazy Rich Asians and I have heard that the food is amazing. Not only does this host teach Singaporean cooking, she also has vegan and vegetarian options! I also saw that she is a Passion Ambassador for Singapore, which I’m sure would make the experience even better!
I would pick Maize workshop by Enrique Olvera (sold out right now... :( but a girl can dream!). I watched him on Chef's Table on Netflix and was so inspired by his passion for Mexican cuisine and elevating a simple taco that I journeyed to Mexico City to eat at his restaurant and later to Oaxaca to taste mole myself! It would be wonderful to meet him in person and truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I love AirBnB experiences because they open up our eyes to the world and help us make connections with people from cooking with nonnas to learning from a world-class chef!
I want to go on the Cooking with 'Grannies of the Sea' Airbnb experience. So many of my favorite recipes are from my own grandmothers, so who better to learn from! Portugal is on my list of places to visit in the next couple of years and I adore fishing villages (something about the way they smell.) Combined with a lot of local interactions, this sounds like the perfect experience!
I'm in love with this!! I would absolutely choose cooking with Nonna!! First or all that pasta 🤤😋!!! Secondly Italy has a close place to my heart as my first wanderlust destination! I spent a lot of time dreaming about visiting Italy when I was younger even studying Italian for several semesters (although I haven't kept up with it so I can't really brag 😂) Anyway, I had the pleasure of visiting once when I was younger but have always wanted to go back as an adult! Your Italy series is really making me think it's time to book that trip! Also this little town is so charming, exactly the kind of place I want to retire! And those Nonna's are too sweet with so much knowledge and love to share - I think it would be a very heartwarming experience like your video! Thanks for sharing about these Airbnb experiences! My sister and I really only use Airbnb while traveling and it's so cool they now have built in excursions to compliment the experience!
I recently took a 23&me DNA test and found out I am a tiny bit Korean (5%) which explains my love of Korean BBQ! I would love to take the Cooking Korean Street Food at Home because a) my love of korean food and b) I love connecting with the people from the area. The food almost becomes a sidebar as you discover a new culture and share the love of cooking with a new friend. My second choice (I know it wasn't on the link) is to take an Airbnb experience cooking session in Toronto when we visit in April. There is a class called Learn, Cook, Eat-Indian Khaana that looks amazing.
This is so amazing 👏 how very true about teaching younger generations our traditions! Love it. My family is from palombara Sabina so this was amazing to see where my family is from in your video! Hopefully one day I'll be able to go and meet my family that's still there❤
It's one thing to be an observer of different cultures when you're traveling, but it's a whole new richer experience when you're a participant! loved the video :) makes me really hungry
Exactly. With travel, unique, authentic and well organized local experiences aren't always easy to "stumble" upon. This Cooking with Airbnb experiences has some really original stuff. Chiaras energy and enthusiasm is simply contagious! Both she and Nerina are inspiring. 🙏 for watching Renee!
I loved this video Christine! I would love to take a cooking class like this with all these grandmas. This is such a beautiful thing and feels very special. Not your typical touristy thing at all.
I can see why you'd be overwhelmed but what an amazing experience! I think it's great they're doing this. Like she said, now their traditions have a chance to live on. :)
That’s an awesome idea for an Airbnb experience! I did two in Hawaii in early summer- learning to make haku lei (the flower head wreaths) and making a traditional shell necklace. I love that Airbnb has these experiences with locals!
It looks like so much fun to create and cook with Family - Love it!!! Too bad the travel restrictions are in place, would love to be there to join in with the family there! :)
So much Pasta!! All of it looks delicious! This experience is so awesome.. I so love seeing all the grannies. Cooking is really awesome when it is shared.
@@grrrltraveler I would try the Japanese cooking. The soba noodle making looks good. The Moroccan cooking also looked good and very authentic. Gosh Air bnb has such a choice!
It would be nice. They had some very unique and entertaining cooking experiences I was curious about Certainly a good way to get into local kitchens vs posting shout outs on IG & FB. 😉
That home looks so warm and inviting! You can tell by looking at Nonna's hands that she's spent a lifetime creating amazing food in her kitchen. Thank you for sharing it with us..I've come to really appreciate Airbnb experiences! Great video!
I would happily pay double for a meal cooked by a Grandma! 😋 I miss my Grandma's cooking ❤ P.s I recently started my own RUclips travel and food journey 😃
What an awesome Airbnb experience cooking and learning from four Nonnas! I just completed Elena Ferrante's Neapolitan 4-series novel and this would be a fantastic field trip for my book club ladies! Thanks for this fun video.
I have been waiting for this video! Looked like a fun time had by all. I loved the fact you hand rolled the dough and then rolled the dough out with a rolling pin. That technique seems to be going away due to the work and skill involved.
Initially I didn’t even know that was a rolling pin, Fred! I was wondering what that stick was until Nonna started to roll it. Lol. That’s how removed I think we can all be from our food and traditions. Sometimes time doesn’t honor traditions. Which is why I love this Nonna project is beautiful. 💕We need to look at valuing traditions more.
@@grrrltraveler Italians are very serious about their pasta. If you do not get the thickness right with the rolling pin. They end up holding the rolling pin like you did.
I would love to try to do the Vegan Valentines Day Chocolate Desserts near me! It would be such a fun experience with a friend 😊 i love your video so much!!!
You can make pasta that long with that handrolling thing? ! I admire that these grandmothers still possess these traditional secrets and ways of doing things. Like not using a bowl to mix ingredients--- that's like a time warp!

That amazing experience cooking with Italian woman , food for sure be delicious .

Thanks for sharing! I booked this for my husband and I when we travel to Rome in July. I'm so excited!
You will love it! Enjoy. 😃👍
Chiara was a very charming young woman. Good luck to her on this~ it is a wonderful thing..
Yes she is and yes it is!!! ✨💕

Oh yes, in this case there were many people to share in it! 😋
What type of cooking would you try Cheron?

Thank you for sharing! Love these beautiful ladies doing wonderful things!
It's really cool experience Christine. Bravo🙌🏻😁 Gnocchi is really hard to make from scratch (at least for us lol) so very lucky to learn from them 😊
Making anything from scratch never feels easy. Lol. Though I was surprised by its lack of complexity. ✊🏻

Yes, a lifetime of cooking with love and feeding a family ❤️
It is something grandmothers offer which will be unequalled.
Its good to see you more in front of the lens than behind. This is a excellent video.
Thanks Cary! For a moment I wasn’t sure how I’d manage getting out from behind the camera.
✨So many Nonnas!!✨
🤗
Well done AirBnB experience. Loved this video.
Priceless experience!
Kind of experience that i want to have ..love it
This is exactly what I would want to do when I travel! Beautiful video!

Love it, so much fun!
SO MUCH! 🤣😋💕

Wow. Can't beat cooking with 4 Italian grandmas...well I guess 5 Italian grandmas would do it❤
Haha it was such a surprise!!! Lots of pasta and I wasn't sure how I could film that many nonnas.
But wow 🤗
@@grrrltraveler love the video ❤

Love your channel!! Please explore more of Europe!! 😄😄
I hope to! Anything in particular you’re curious about?
Will you be making pasta when you get back? Very interesting story. I like the idea of it.
🤔
I’m much better at eating it.
But I almost attempted it for our family Xmas dinner. Just wasn’t sure how it’s taste with American flour. 😂
Fabulous video 😍you are Amazing 😍❤💖🌷

The non bowl was one of those which blewme away! 💕
Awesome
Benvenuta nella culla del buon cibo ....
I feel sorry for people who don't have a dog. Heard that they had to pick up food that fell on the floor themselves.
There's a lot of leftovers from that class-- they donate it to the people in the village. 🤗
