- I have to take you on my Rome Apartment Tour which cost $250-300/night on Airbnb . This isn't any Italian apartment, it is a Rome luxury apartment
Disclosure: I stayed at this apartment while filming a partnership experience with AirBnB Experience which I am excited to share in the future . The apartment goes for around $250-300/night, which is expensive but not bad compared to five star hotels where you might pay that for only a room. I have an entire apartment in Rome and keep posted for my city guide and AirbnbExperience. .

I was just there 6 months ago. They donate the money every night from the fountain to help feed those there who need it.

That place looks enormous! I’m always torn between an Airbnb versus a hotel. I’ve stayed at them before but it always worries me about the check in process. Looks great!
. I’m always concern I won’t have someone to answer my travel questions. it depends on the owner.
This was a premium listing - LOT of good ratings/reviews and the owner had a couple of places so it was very professional in any way they could think of, down to coordinating my pickup & taxi or leaving trip recommendations.
More people are looking at it as their own hotel business so you just have to research.
My Florence stay, I’m pretty sure was the girl’s primary income so for her it was like maintaining it like a hostel hotel.
When I was in LA the girl was a comedian who was always home in the day w her cats.
Hit or miss
The one thing I really appreciate about your travel videos is that you keep them to a nice length! Mahalo for doing this. 10-13 minutes are a great bite-sized length. Really enjoyed reliving Roma! Much aloha.

I am so sad right now, as a little Hispanic girl I dreamed of moving to Italy, I love italy it is such a beautiful place, and I just found out I can’t be there for more than 90 days 😭

I stayed at Relais 6 Via Tolmino, which is twelve minutes by car, (which I wouldn’t recommend) to the Trevi fountain and ended up paying $400.00 USD for five days. It wasn’t a grand apartment like hers, but it was nice, and a lot easier on the pocket. We took the train, which was only a 10 min ride, but about 25 minutes of walking in total.
You survived the metro w no pickpockets! 🙌
Did you ever figure out your bidet?
GRRRLTRAVELER | Christine Kaaloa ...I didn’t carry any bags, and had most of my money in my money belt with maybe €20-25 in my front pant’s pocket. And the money was always in the pockets. And always carried my GoPro in my hand. Some guys were looking at me a bit strangely on the train, but I had on my bright yellow tennis shoes. Later on, realized it’s not normal for Italians to wear the athletic or exercise shoes in public, unless you’re actually exercising. And no, never figured out the bidet. Ended up making more of a mess trying to use it. Baby wipes are a lot better.

Nice! I have a 12-hour layover in Rome but I don't want to try to get a hostel bed so I think I'm just going to sleep in the airport for a couple hours and then go see the Trevi Fountain. Then head back to the airport lol. First time there.

$250-300/night Airbnb - expensive but not for a 5 star hotel where you only get a room.

We were in Rome in 2018. We had a great time. Watch out for pickpockets. They are a real problem.
Yup. The assistant told me he got pickpocketed twice... and he’s lived there for 13 years!!!😳
May I ask what it cost you please? Roughly
5 lines below the video screen she seems to say this 1 bedroom apt costs $300 per night. Per NIGHT?! That price is outrageous. I think one could rent a nice apt right in the center for $2,000 per MONTH; then renting it out for $300 per night you'd make a profit of $7,000 per month! If that were true every Roman apt owner would be renting out their apts and ROLLING in PILES of cash.
Some people might watch this video and rent the place for that price. Miss Kaaloa may then receive a handsome commission. Let the renter beware. Never rent the first apartment you see when you don't know the market.
Lol. My title states “luxury” apartment - did you think luxury= cheap? If you keep reading I also wrote a disclosure where I specifically state that it is expensive.

Surprisingly, tourists don’t visit the fountain late at night. It’s actually one of the best times to visit. I slept very well. It’s a fortress

those were not policemen but Italian army, they are added patrols on tourist and famous places that may be at risk of attacks and in train stations, unfortunately the European capitals and not only in recent years must live with this fear
