I have anxiety disorders, so sometimes I get really stressed out, and your videos really help me calm down!! I love watching you work, grandma Gina, and you're absolutely an amazing and wonderful person to watch. You always seem so happy to do your thing, and I hope I grow to be more like you someday.
I think we are asking alot of Gina for a young lady of 81!!! I thought she was about 74.....geeze she has the strength of ten mules. Very inspirational💐
My mother really didn’t teach me how to cook while I was growing up. I’m learning everything by watching people cook on here and I get a warm feeling in my heart watching this! My grandma lives in a different country and I miss her very much so seeing this makes me feel at home and happy. Have a great day!
My grandmother passed away when I was only 6 years old. The few memories I have left of her was when she was cooking. It's always nice to watch these videos. Makes me feel young again, like the way things were.
Jeremy Dittus ~ Agree!!!! I wish she would have cooking classes!!! I would fly out to where she is to be taught from her on how to cook like that 💗 What an honor for her family to have such a wonderful soul such as she is
My great grandparents came over to America from Venice. Settled in Chicago. Yes my mom & my Grammama learned from Nonni how to cook and passed it down! Now I’m teaching my daughter how to cook from scratch!
That is no joke making pasta, my neighbor Rose had a pasta board just like yours Gina. Only semolina flour was put on her board. I miss her so much and you remind of her so much, she was from Calabria 🇮🇹
Omg !!!! This is exactly what I remember from my Nonni !! Everything is exactly right including that rolling pin and the way she dusts the board. Memories !!!
Gina you are so sweet now I understand why Italians make such a big deal about eating at the table. All the work you put into it your heart and soal. I never realized how much work was put into it I know gravy takes a long time to make and that's a lot of work for me but wow you are one special lady thank you
Love this video. What a wonderful, precious lady!…….and oh, my….kneading that huge chunk of dough was HARD!!!!…..but she did it! She’s very strong for being over eighty!!!
I have been in a "funk" for quite awhile..family far away and facing stage 3 ovarian cancer on my own. While stuck in my bed I happened on your fantastic videos. They gave me hope...something to look forward to. I'm the youngest in a family of 5 kids...am 59 now. Mom always made her pasta with a rolling pin...that's how I was taught. Always hit and miss!!! I was blessed to find ( for 5 dollars!!!) A extremely nice pasta machine! Am up and around now...I way overbought eggs n flour...what's the best way to store/dry/ freeze a massive amount of pasta? Want to give a gifts also! May God bless and keep you and your beautiful family. All my love and admiration...Con nie
Connie, you are in my prayers. God bless and stay strong. Fresh pasta takes hours to dry sometimes overnight if it is a high humidity day. Leave the pasta on your work surface or on tablecloth set over your table or even your bed. You can cook the fresh pasta within a few hours of making it or allow it to dry and store it in an airtight container in the fridge for a week or the freezer for a few weeks. I don't like to freeze it for more than a month. I hope this helps. God Bless, be well.
Greetings from England you beautiful flower of Italy, May you continue to bless the world with your cooking and Knowledge , you have the the respect from me as always ,and i know your family love you dearly
Her grandchildren and children are so so lucky to still have her around and her amazing recipes! I wish I hadn’t taken my grandmother and her incredible recipes for granted. She is an Italian woman as well and her whole world was cooking. She is still around, but sadly has fallen to dementia and cannot remember how to cook any longer. I miss her sweet happy face in the kitchen. This beautiful lady reminds me of her so much! 💞
We're in lockdown in South Africa. I'm going to follow Grandma Gina's recipe right now. I can't wait to try it. Grandma Gina I love you and your recipes. Made my first homemade pasta last night, and I was shocked at just how easy it is. Dry pasta has its place, but fresh pasta takes it to a whole other level. This is great.
Your shows are wonderful my daughter is trying to connect with her Italian side of the family. Our has all passed I do my best but you are so close to my father in law when he was alive. I have 8 children, 6 still at home, so aways hands eager to help. Thank you for sharing your energy, recipe and joy. You are a gift to the world! Kimmie Mama to 8 One homemade and 7 adopted
There’s something so elegant and classic about Italian food. I’m Mexican so I didn’t really grow up with it, besides spaghetti and lasagna on rare occasions, but I’ve always loved Italian food whenever I’ve tried it in my adult life. I’ve even learned the 4 classic Roman pastas and that spread to making other dishes as well. Whenever I have kids, I will teach them what my abuelita taught me, but also all the Italian dishes that you and so many others have taught me through videos and articles. Thank you so much and have a blessed day
This is why you don't mess with a Nonna. They have the strongest arms 💪🏻 and hands, lol. We love you, Nonna Gina! My parents are from Roseto Valfortore, Foggia.
I love Nonna Gina!!! and I totally understand what you wrote below. My Nonna was the same way, you could buy her some fancy kitchen gadget and she would say " its a no good" Really miss my Nonna she's been gone since 1993 since she passed away no one speaks Italian anymore its very sad. :-( enjoy every moment you have with Your beautiful Nonna Gina!!!!
Love listening and watching you Nona Gina. What a treat. Your videos take me right back to the 50's and 60's when my sisters and I used to watch and help and listen as my Sicilian grandmother and her cousins gathered to make huge batches of ravioli, and cannoli shells and cookies. They would laugh and talk and tell the greatest stories. My Nona had the big wooden work boards like you use. My favorite story was about one of those boards. One of the cousins talked about how her mother back in Sicily would make the pasta on the board and then afterwards when it was cooked they would put the cooked pasta in a pile on the cleaned board and the family would sit around the board and pull a section of the pasta over to themselves and eat right off of the huge board. Then when she came to America she would tell her children how they used to do that back in Italy. Her children loved the story and begged their mother to make pasta and let them eat it like that here. So the mother finally gave in. Well, this happened in the early 1900's and they were in San Jose CA which was a small town back then. So the story goes that the very day that the mother made the pasta and let her kids eat right off of the board their father just happened to bring the mayor home with him. The father was so embarrassed for the mayor to see his family eating like peasants from the old country that after the mayor left he became furious and picked up the board, pasta and all and threw it out into the yard. We all laughed so hard at that story. Your videos bring back so many memories. Thank you!
❤❤Grandma Gina, I can watch your videos every single day....Thank you so very much for sharing your wonderful recipes with us.....Please keep singing, you make us all so happy. WE LOVE YOU GINA!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤

Grandma Gina, my daughter bought me a pasta maker because she knows I likeeverything homemade and the first thing I did I looked for your videos, so I know what kind of ingredients I use and the measurement I am just like you. I like everything. Homemade from the scratch. God bless you dear and thank you for sharing your recipes with us.👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Dear Grandma Gina, you are a very special lady and your videos are wonderful!!!. You remind me of my Grandmother Consiglia who was born near Naples and came to NY in the early 1900s. Thank you for sharing your love with everyone…. Grazie Mille !

I’m making my homemade lasagna with Bolognese sauce and pasta from scratch.Nonna Gina, you taught me how to make fresh pasta. It’s so delicious. Love your videos Gina. Love the stories you tell about the old days cooking with your mother and sisters. I hope you continue with your videos, One request; teach us the italian language . Take care and I'll continue to watch. Bless you. .
81? No wayyyyy. She looks like she is in her early 60s. Grandma, I love your channel, your recipes, and your charming personality. Grandma, how long do we leave the pasta out to dry and how do we store it for later use?
The pasta needs a few hours to dry , if it is a humid day it will take longer. Once it is dry I place the pasta in a plastic container with a tight fitting lid and store it in the fridge for a week or in the freezer for a month.
I Love her!!!! My grandfather immigrated from Italy, unfortunately, he didn't teach us how to make any of his Italian food recipes, so I am learning from my Italian American Friends :) Thank you for sharing.
I love the way you teach. The love you put into it shows and now you share it with others, this is priceless. Thank you mamma Gina, bless you n your family.
Well I made your recipe today and it came out beautifully. It was hard work. I'm in my sixties and Grandma Gina is 20 years my senior. I did not have the pasta machine and cut it by hand. It was amazing. Can't believe I made this fetticcini with my own hands. It was very tasty and very worthwhile. I even tried your tomato sauce and it was super delicious. You are a genius in the kitchen. I am so glad I found you on utube. Can't wait to try more recipes. Love you and your personality. Thank you so much!
Lei e' stupenda signora. Grazie per queste bellissime ricette. You're a beautiful grandmother. Lucky are those grand children of yours. Thank you for a great recipe. xx
I used to love watching my grandmother make the dough for her pasta and raviolis. No machines; just her rolling pin and pasta cutters. In no time she would whip up a dinner for 10 or more.

Time to make pasta.....what to do first? Get my ingredients ready? NO, I have to watch Gina make it first !!!!!!! Thank you again, Gina, for being such a pro !!!
She prayed over the pasta dough! Be grateful for everything. I need to practice this. God bless you mother. What a wonderful teacher you are!
I pray when I make my dough for the bread we are supposed to, so God can bless it 🙏🏻❤️

81? No wayyyyy. She looks like she is in her early 60s. Grandma, I love your channel, your recipes, and your charming personality. Grandma, how long do we leave the pasta out to dry and how do we store it for later use?
The pasta needs a few hours to dry , if it is a humid day it will take longer. Once it is dry I place the pasta in a plastic container with a tight fitting lid and store it in the fridge for a week or in the freezer for a month.
the world needs a grandma, I vote her!
In no time she would whip up a dinner for 10 or more.
wow 81yrs .. RESPECT! im 34 and i dont think i have the power to kneed a dough ... the family is lucky to have a grandma like you! here's a virtual hug grandma! xoxo
I am in awe of you Gina, I would love to have half of your energy. God bless you and your family.
You are the sweetest lady on earth!
God bless her! I don’t have an Italian grandma so thank You for posting this so her expertise doesn’t get lost. ❤️
I want to cry in a happy way, she sounds like my late mother-in-law.💕💕
My heart warms watching you cook, Grandma Gina! I love how open you are about your faith, and you have such a positive attitude that I aspire to have as well! God bless you, and thank you for sharing your delicious cooking!! ❤️🙏
