FAQ:
Who is this lady?
Gina Petitti was born in 1935 in Faeto, Italy. Her family ran a farm in Italy and she met her husband, Vito, in the same town. In 1970 Gina, Vito, and her 4 children immigrated to America. Gina’s husband passed away in 2012, but she is surrounded by a large family, which includes 9 grandchildren, and lives 5 minutes away from her eldest daughter in New Jersey. Gina spends her time cooking, gardening, and being an active member of her local Church.
Where does Gina get her recipes?
Most of these recipes are from what she learned growing up in Italy, but some of them have evolved over time. She has also learned new recipes from friends and family in America. She is always eager to try new things.
Why is no one helping her in the video?
Grandma Gina doesn’t want help! Usually, it’s because we will slow her down or not do it “her way.” For the videos we only show her, but when the camera cuts we jump in and help form the cookies or prep for the next step.
Why don’t we buy her a new...?
Grandma Gina has a closet and garage full of new gadgets, spoons, forks, pots, etc… but she doesn’t like them because she is used to doing it with her old tools. She has fun getting her hands dirty!
Who is behind the camera?
Her retired son-in-law films, her daughter helps her prep, and she usually has one or two grandkids in the kitchen.
Does Gina read the comments?
We print out and show her how much love she gets from all her viewers, and she is very thankful and hopes you enjoy her cooking! Your comments bring her lots of joy, laughter, and inspiration to make more videos to share with you.
Thank you for watching, we hope you subscribe, and we will see you in our next video!
I am 76 years old and I never knew my Grandmother. But I wish you were my Grandmother. You are such a joy to watch. I wish you many many years. God Bless.
I don't now what's better - her adorable wedding story or she's just gonna take a "taste" and proceeds to fill the plate. Love her !!
😆
I look forward to watch her ♥️
I love you Grandma Gina. I have tried your pasta it was delicious. Thank you for sharing your recipes. God Bless! Keep going.....
Hi u

I’m not Italian, I am Portuguese....I love this woman! I feel like she’s my Nona! Beautiful dish, beautiful woman, beautiful story (when it rains on your wedding day it’s good luck), the sun then shined like Nona Gina shines! Loved your song Bella! May God bless you to eternity Nona!
Everything you make, Grandma Gina comes from your home country and from your heart. This is the kind of cooking that is disappearing from the world, and the family cooking and cultural dishes are so important. Thank you from my home to yours. Making this for my husband's birthday!
Didn’t dissapear. We cook every day too
Anyone else feel like they want to hug this precious Grandma.
I know I do, being a puerto rican man who grew up with an Italian famiglia, i can appreciate that Grandmotherly love 💕 the food looks amazing Bon appetit o 😁
YES!! everytime she finishes a dish or a song 🖤🖤🖤
omg yes.
That's exactly how I feel. It's like everybody's grandma.
Absolutely
Anybody can make this...but when Gina makes it, there’s so much love that makes her food more than delicious and special. Gina is everyone’s grandma, mother and friend. Truly one of a kind we love you.
God bless her that she brings happiness to us unconditionally! Love you Grandma Gina, from Bahrain!!!
RUclips needs to add a Love button just for her.
Like everyone else who watches Grandma Gina, I have fallen in love with her and want to adopt her. I am making baked ziti tonight. Thank you
Liar…you didn’t make crap…you ordered olive garden
I cry when I watch you and I love the songs and the stories. And then there is the food. I love you and watch you when I need some joy in my life.

I love her singing, I cry and I'm not even Italian.
Hello margaret
@@Thomasfrohwitter sad little troll, fix that 70's mustache. 🤢🤮
She is beautiful and I love that she’s passing down traditional cooking to all of us. Thank you
I hope her daughters, daughters in laws, and grandaughters learn how to cook from her in order to continue this amazing legacy
god forbid men learn how to cook i guess
And her sons, grandsons and son in laws.
@@raineyhaze I have two adult nephews that both know how to cook. So do their wives. It is nice to have households where both spouses know how to cook!😉💕😋
We know them all by heart💕
There’s no better cooking than a woman who loves to feed her family. She’s so adorable 🥰
I absolutely love this sweet lady.....great authentic I Italian cook!
I’d be a fat person messing with Grandma Gina especially the breadsticks and don’t even think of adding sauce with em now that’s overkill 🥴💯
Looks so good ! I bet, 57 yrs ago, you walking in the rain and arriving at church, soaked, you still looked beautiful as you are today ❤️ much love from 🇨🇦
Who would ever give this a thumbs down? Love you Momma Gina! You make my mouth water and my heart smile!
I have to tell you man, you've got a winner. As the son of an Italian immigrant Mother, just like Gina. Who ever the writer, producer, camera, editer is in this YT channel is genius. Mama is soooooo genuine and everything comes from the heart. She is a treasure. Thank you from the botttom of my heart for this channel. I LOVE GINA. She's the real deal.
Gina's son-in-law does all the filming. We have him and Gina to thank for these wonderful videos!
Brings me back to my wonderful family.
So surprised not approached by networks yet.
@@edwardgurick5432True! She is waaaaaay better than a lot of 'chefs' on the air. Perhaps it is because she slips in italian words here and there. 👋🤷♀️😉
@@lindaa2437 thanx👍 but honestly what old world person doesn't toss in some old world. Also maybe I might learn Italian on the side🤞bless you and your fam
Just love this sweet grandma!!❤❤❤
Gina, watching you cook cheers me up. I am a widow and I miss cooking for my husband so much. Now I am all alone, so I don't cook much, but you are so cheerful you make me want to cook again. Thank you. You are so sweet.
I love your bright and cheerful songs at the end of you cooking, too. WE LOVE YOU TOO, GINA! Keep cooking for me. Your friend.
Hello Romar
When you stop and think of how many meals these precious hands have made you love her more.
Darling Gina. Such a good woman. An example to all of us.
Who are the 485 people who don’t like this woman????? I wish she lived next door to me, what an amazing thing it is watching her keep these recipes alive. I love her!
I cooked the recipe just like she did, using Parmesan cheese (I'm not sure why the description shows Romano). But it came out tasting fantastic. I'm thinking that those dislikers are people who may have been taught to make it a different way by their Nonnas.
Some people don't get it in this life
Must be commies 😂
@rainking.... Surely you must be interpretating numbers to say what they are not. I simply can't believe any significant number of viewers don't like Grandma Gina. It's not possible. There is a misunderstanding in your interpretation of these numbers. I'm not seeing it.
Thank you Gina and family. We have postponed watching this as we are in the midst of grieving my beloved father who died Feb 19 and tonight, we were finally up for viewing it. Thank you for making us smile, for your food, your stories, and your songs. This video made us smile despite our sadness. The pictures at the end were beautiful. Thank you for sharing your life with us and reminding us of joy.
I am sorry for your loss. I will keep you in my prayers. God Bless you all.
How can 21 idiots vote negatively to this lady's videos....She is such a nice sweet lady, that deserves our total respect....Have a heart people!!
ignore is the best answer to those who disliked this wonderful grandma's food. I don't know her but I admire her!
Because they are idiots 🙄
Your beautiful smile is contagious! Thank you for all you do, God bless you❣
My nana is 92 and you remind me so much of her. She allowed me in the kitchen ONLY TO WATCH!! NEVER TO ACTUALLY COOK. LOL. although I knew her recipes i never turned on a stove or oven until I was 19 and newly married. I have to say my 1st year of marriage i lived and learned!! Also i burned alot of meals. Italian grandmothers are the BEST. My nana nursed me back to health after my surgery from pancreatic cancer. I was 46, and nana 87. My insurance company wanted me to go to nursing home for 8 weeks and my nana said no way!! Wishing you the best from Chicago.
I had to tell my Wife that I was in love with another women ! Then I show her the video and she agreed..
Gina is adorable ! someone give her a great big bear hug for me ! Thanks to all for sharing this wonderful
lady and her wisdom with us !
I'm on a diet, yet here I am torturing myself with Grandma Gina's yummy cooking. God give me strength... lol.
......what, you have your protein, your vegetable, your fruit (tomatoes!) and a little carbs 😉
Whenever I diet (and I need to now - just got back from Disney where I stuffed my face for a week!), I make pasta dishes, but I put my portion in a tea cup and make it a side dish. Good luck with your diet - I know it's hard. Wish me luck too!!!
Gina, you are the highlight of my day! Every time I "maka da gravey" I think fondly of you!
My mom makes pasta al forno exactly the same way Gina, with hard boiled eggs. The old proverb say's, "Una sposa bagnata e una sposa fortunata" and with this your wedding day was a blessing.
I love how much her family loves and enjoys spending time with her. She must have be a remarkable woman. God bless her.
I noticed several people wondered why the beef was not drained, it was very lean, not much grease in the pan. We love Grandma Gina no thumbs down just thumbs up for our beautiful Gina.😘
12:06 The moment I realize I've been pronouncing "mozzarella" the wrong way all my life. My grandma was not Italian but you moved me to tears at the end of your video with the joy you shared after creating a meal for your loved ones. It brought back many memories of watching my Granny in her own kitchen.
Beautiful soul!! Full of life!! I love watching her make food ❤️
Gina your cooking is wonderful, and I've learned so much about life as well as cooking from watching you, but what I value most is listening to you. When you speak, for those minutes I hear the voice and words of my Nana Maria, and I never thought I would hear her voice again. (She was born in southern Italy). I lost my dear grandmother years ago, but I feel her presence and hear her voice when I see your videos. That is the very special gift you give to me, and I am so grateful to you and your family for your videos. My dad was an Italian tenor, and he sang many of the songs you sing in your videos. I lost him too, but hearing you sing brings back those precious memories. I cannot thank you enough for these beautiful moments. I look forward to each and every video you make. God bless you.

So happy to stumble onto your channel. My sweet Italian grandmother has been gone for 19 years. Listening to you is like being back in her kitchen. I never noticed her thick accent. I understand every word you say. Wonderful memories. You are real treasure.
Dear Gina, I’m 83 and can’t do what you do. I cook for a big family too, but don’t make homemade pasta. Only when I was a young girl. Not anymore. When you sang “Oh Mama” that’s what my mother always sang.
God bless you for making these videos. I enjoy watching you.
Helloo
Gina reminds me a lot of my grandmother. We are from Abruzzo (Crecchio) not so fare from where Gina is from.
My grandma moved in the same way as Gina does. Her hands etc.
Now we are all over in Europe and US. I am in France, some of us in Germany, some in Belgium and Boston. This makes the memorys even stronger. Everybody far from italy but keeping the culture!
Grazie mille Gina and Famiglia. Best wishes. Christian
This woman is a treasure. Cherish her. And thank you for sharing these wonderful recipes and memories.
Gina thank you for sharing your recipes and your sweet memories. Love your pictures, bella e bello 💗. I didn't expect singing. What a lovely Italian song and voice indeed. It gave me chill bumps and tears of joy. 💗 Many blessings!
I love this lady. We need more sweet-hearted simplicity like this.
How smart of this family member to record their precious grandma and her recipes with stories. I enjoy your grandma so much!
This is the luckiest family. This Grandmas cooking is next level. I could easily tuck into this ziti with half a loaf of bread. All the best Mama Gina!
Cutest Italian grandma ever!! And that song was the icing on the cake!
Grandma Gina, You are Truly an Angel From Heaven dropped onto Italy and Sent to America !! We are So Lucky to Have you to teach us to Cook Such Amazing Food! Rain on your wedding day is blessings from above for a long & happy marriage. Gina- you're a blessing! Learning so much. Grazie!
How on earth can 135 people give this dear woman a thumbs down!? Are you heartless or just hate people who cook well?
THERE'S VERY UNHAPPY BITTER PEOPLE OUT THERE. I AGREE WITH YOU....
They don't like peas.
So glad I found this channel! Gina is now my Italian abuelita and i will be trying all her recipes
👍 if you are interested,...abuela in italien is "Nonna".
Nice chanel

This woman is just fantastic. I enjoy her instructions and voice - kinda makes me feel calm - keep on giving us videos.
Yo when she put the water in the jars and got all the sauce out!!! OG move, don't waste NOTHING!!! The best chef on RUclips.
May the sun always shine on you, Nona Gina. At this crazy time in the world, you are like sunshine. Your family is very very lucky. God bless you and all you love.
She's such a beautiful soul and how lucky we are to share a glimpse of what her lucky family gets to enjoy on a regular basis. I wish I had more of this in my life.
OOOOH! THANK YOU for the photos! How BEAUTIFUL you BOTH are! Thank you, Gina, for sharing your food and your stories with us! You bring tears to me eyes ! I’m 73 now, as I told you. My Gramma died in 1978... her funeral was over right as the big blizzard started. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of her. Watching you transports me back into her kitchen, her home. She was always happy cooking, washing, cleaning, ironing. Yes she was! She said it was because she was SO grateful to have food to cook, clothes for her children, and a home to keep them safe and warm. Gramma grew up in the cool yards outside of Boston and was very very poor. Even when she had cancer she never complained. She was like an Irish Gina: a joyful and grateful spirit. 🌹
I just love hearing your grandma talking and singing and cooking, thanks you so much for sharing, God bless you
Mrs Petitti, watching you cook, and hearing your wonderful Italian accent, and feeling the love coming from your heart, makes the part of my day that I spend with you, in your kitchen, take me back to my own childhood, your a very special woman, thank you for what you are and do.
I love that she calls, all of her sauces, gravy lol. Also, like when she doesn’t measure anything. She says, “it just takes a little bit,”and then proceed to pour it out of the container 😂😂😂. She’s such a joy to listen to and watch.
I suffer from severe depression and watching your videos helps me so much. You remind me of my Grandma and the happy times in my life. Thank you :)
❤❤❤❤❤
If ever you want to talk please please reach out.
I was singing with you, I play that song for my Great Niece (18 Months old) and we dance and dance! Thank you Grandma Gina, what wonderful memories you share with us!
I wish you were my Grandma complete with singing - love to you and your familia!
Nothing makes me happier than Sunday morning and hearing "Hello, Imma Gina!" Making baked Ziti today! God Bless you Gina!
This warmed my heart especially the singing at the end. I love watching the elders make traditional recipes. ❤️
Love grandma Gina's comfort food cooking and just listening to her, precious.
Looks delicious. Italian women are the best cooks.
Italian Grandma, you are ADORABLE! I could watch and listen to you for hours!
I don't know what it is, but I love watching you cook!!! Mama Gina teach us young ones how to properly cook.
Just discovered her today!! And I love her!!! I was having a bad day but when she started singing I smiled so big! Thank you!! 💜🤗
You are just what the doctor ordered-you make me feel so happy when I watch you--
wish you were my sister-Your songs and food are what I grew up with 91 years ago, --I will always remember ! You are LOVED. Thank you Gina (and my father, Nicola, smoked a pipe)
Her family is blessed to have her
My father's side is italian, we had a falling out when I was a child and when we did talk again my father died suddenly and we fell apart again. Now I have a family of my own and realized that I don't know what to do or how to cook. Watching you makes me feel like I have a grandma teaching me. Thanks so much! 😢😊 I subscribed! 💕
I am the one who feels lucky! So thankful that your family is helping you make and share these videos and your recipes. Mostly they have captured the essence of you. Hearing you sing in Italian brought about some heartfelt memories. I didn't have a Nonna / Italian Grandmother. But, I had a few Italian Aunts and Uncles who are missed dearly. Mrs Petitti they were right - when you came out of church and the sun was shining - all who surround YOU are lucky to be in your presence. You are a blessing and a ray of sunshine in this sometimes cloudy world. God Bless and Thank YOU!
The beautiful Gina. The song brought tears. Love it 😘👌
When I miss my mom I watch Gina. I cry and feel like I went home for a visit. I love you Signora Gina. 💕🙏
I happened upon this channel, and I watched a few of her videos. I enjoyed them, but, THIS is the video that made me hit the subscribe button. I knew that I just had to see more of this wonderful woman.
What a beautiful soul you have Gina. ❤️ I love to hear you talk, it makes me smile. ❤️ You are such a great cook and teacher. Thank You 🤗
God bless you dear Nonna Gina today and always !!!!
What a delight to see a no nonsense cook. Loved cutting the boiled egg on a plate. Nice and clean too.❤❤❤
I love when nonna G says “if you like you put, if you no like u no put”. And “my family, they like”. The cutest thing!
I am Vietnamese American and I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE her singing. Even though I don't understand the lyrics, her voice, her spirit, her personality just bright up my world! Please send her my most admiration. Wish her health and happiness!
You go miss Gina! My family is Italian, my Nono and nonna were from Naples. When they moved here they would always tell me about the old days. You make me smile...
I'm going make this for Easter she is adorable no one on earth is better chefs then Italian grandmother's no one❤
My dearly loved grandmother made this with little meatballs no egg and no peas thought we had. Her delicious roasted chicken wings and thigh s with it. On Sunday afternoons when we visited her after that lots of chestnuts roasted and fruit on table
The best training anyone can have is from mamma and nonna. Nonna Gina represents all Italian mothers and grandmothers from time immemorial. They are the best in the world. We love you Gina, thank you for making many people very happy.
I love listening to her, so sweet.
I need an Italian grandmother to sing over my food lol. This is amazing! I’ve been watching these videos for hours!!!
My Dear, Sweet Gina, I made this recipe last night and it was a complete hit. My family loved it. Thank you so very much for showing this Italian American girl the REAL, right way to make baked ziti!
Watched this by accident..I'm glad I did. I fell in love with this grandma..not only because of her recipe but sharing a part of her past and her love of singing 💓..
Freaking love this women, her singing makes it even better!!
I worked for an incredible Italian Family for 4 years. So much fun!!
Omg I can’t with her! She’s so lovely ❤️ please please 🙏🏼 keep making videos like this!
I have adopted Gina as my own grandmother. Gina you are loved more than you could know. Thank you for posting.
God bless all grandmas xx
Gramma you make me cry. Today is the 22nd anniversary of my mother’s passing. I remember her dancing and singing that song, as part of the Holy Ghost Church. We are part of the Portuguese immigrants that came to Hawaii to work the pineapple and sugar cane fields. Tomorrow is my birthday. I will be 69 years. I never appreciated my mother but tonight I ask her forgiveness and hope to see her again. Thank you Gina for making this day extremely special. God bless you. Thank you for sharing your gifts. I pray your children adore you. ❤️❤️💋❤️❤️
Happy Birthday! Your words touched my heart. Your mom loves you and is watching over you and is waiting with open arms. God Bless.
Gina - you are the shining light we all need right now. You are a beautiful soul. Thank you for your recipes, your singing! Love you from Canada. May you and your family stay safe!
This is about the ingredients of a dear soul and generous heart.....for those who said she lost you with the peas and the egg.....you weren't paying attention, to this whole spiritual experience! and......you got a lovely song at the end too!!!!! Watch and marvel, that she is teaching you something.....more than just cooking. I always look for the bigger picture!😇😍😘 Gina, you are special!
I could watch her cooking all day! Ti amo!!! ❤️❤️
This woman is a treasure I miss my papa he was the best cook he could make something out of nothing she reminds me of him god bless you Gina
If she was my grandma or momma, I would ever leave the house, I’d just be at home loving on her! So sweet! Can’t wait to try this recipe!
Why do I appreciate Ms. Petiti's videos so much?
First, the recipes taste good.
But there is more.
Gina Petiti who is seen cooking rather than just a pair of silent hands
like in a lot of cooking videos.
Also, all the handling and details that she brings.
Her enthusiasm which makes her talk to us about her and sing for the pleasure.
But especially when she tastes.
You have to see her eyes and her smile to understand her pleasure in cooking.
Finally, I find it so reassuring to hear her often say:
"If you like more, you put more. If you like less you put less. It's OK"
Longue vie à Madame Petiti.
She is the best! I can watch her all day, and she makes me smile. God Bless ❤️
Give this angel her own cooking show on the Food Network.
Amen!!! She could show these pretentious TV "cooks" how Italian food is really cooked!!! Grazie Nona Gina!!!
We come to hear you sing, and stay for your recipes and instructions...Or vice versa, either way I’ve never clicked on videos this fast every time you post. My mother in law from Sicily would dance and sing (she called it siciliano) after her prayer to bless the food while she cooked it, and I would get chills because she was such a strong and faithful woman...and the most amazing cook I’ve ever witnessed. She’s been gone (as well as my husband) for many years but I sure learned a lot from her. We adore you. I’ve been cooking for almost 60 years, and you have taught this old dog new tricks. Thank you, thank you, thank you! God Bless you and yours.
Don't know your dishes are more delicious or your singing is more sweet!really love you Gina. God bless you
At 8:49, I love how she says, "You just a-follow me..." She says this in several videos and I do! I've made a number of her dishes and they're terrific! I've even told my friends, "Watch nonna Gina and follow her. That's all, just follow her." ....LOL, dear nonna Gina....I just a-follow you.... then everything's okay
