Great info! I have found using RS 232 with a serial to usb is more efficient once i figured out how to do it.
Thanks much for making this. I truly appreciate it😊
Thank you for posting this!
converted my HL2 Lathe to the USB Drive....,,so far so good...helpful video...keep'em coming
You and the algorithms must have read my mind! Just looking into floppy emulator for our Okuma LCS25. Our LC35-II already has it. In fact we have a device laying around which is from a US company (PLR Electronics), bought in 2014 but never got used. It has both a USB-2 port and a network port (don't know the proper name). I have just started programming these machines starting with the small one and did the floppy -MS DOS thing which works fine I guess but it has a real old school vibe to it. Had to go to the DOS prompt in the computer to get the disk properly formatted. Also I have to figure out if it is possible to export the native Okuma file formats like IGF to a computer, we have a lot of existing programs just sitting on separate disks everywhere. Lots of cleaning up to do. Cheers from Holland.
How about reloading the machine software, after installing a new mocon board. Is that available outside Haas/HFO?
With all the Tits and Ass all over the net, Videos like this are gold. Easy Money , everything is clear as mud at the moment, but let me do it over and over. Maybe one day ball-screw replacements for the Doosan Puma will become easier.
Do you have any tips on how to convert the floppy drive to a usb port on the older haas controller like you are using now?
thanks for the video
Darn I'm getting "FP ERR= -20"
