DJI PHANTOM 3 - Can't connect aircraft - problem solved

I have a Phantom 3 Pro and had the same issue. Connected the two and still nothing. In addition I calibrated my IMU and upon completion it started right up and ran perfectly. Thanks for putting me in the right direction!

I am using a 10.1" Insignia 1gb tablet that is dedicated to only Phantom 3 Standard drone running Litchi app version 3.10.10. I also forced closed not only anything DJI, but every app except for Google Play Services and Google Maps.
This is the only way you can use a 1gb tablet with any flight control program including DJI Go. I don't need an expensive tablet to run an older P3S drone. I put everything back to the time it was made and was working perfectly, including the firmware for the P3S, it's loaded with version 1.05.0070 (actual file name - P3C_FW_V01.05.0070.bin)
I can now do all the automated features this drone was designed for all those years ago, it works like it's BRAND NEW!

I just bought the Phantom 4 pro. i was using iphone 7plus. disconnecting during flight. but when i tested on samsung. it worked well. may be the iphone cable issue. I just bought a new cable. will try it. hummm. very scary when the monitor went black.

Either your remote is broken or you have not connected to the wifi correctly yet. Last hope if it's not one of those problems then you want to do a factory reset and it's the very last thing you can do and only if it's out of warranty, take the remote cover off and just unplug the battery connection and leave it for about 30 seconds then plug in the battery again and be careful not to break or force anything as all the parts should slide or meet together smoothly and turn it back on. It will be back to factory settings so the password is 12341234. Good luck

Solution: The problems is that smart phones are getting dumber. Plug everything in and turn everything on. You have to find your USB menu on your phone and tell it to use the USB for more than just charging. Solved.

DJI the worst costumer supports, !!! Are you aware what DJI did to buyer's of DJI drones? they caused problems to our drones intentionally, too many drones out there having problems with Camera viewing blank image by recent update, and cameras are disabled, and they rearranged the location of firm wares, and made the download difficult, or impossible, because they want us to send them the products to be repaired by an additional cost, I would say they are not an honest providers.

On the DJI GO App, try tapping the 3 dots upper right, then tap the 'Remote Controller icon' on left side of drop down menu and you should have, without scrolling, the 'Linking Remote Controller' in blue letters - maybe the later versions have made this change.
