Hey Jeff! Thank you man!!!!! It was driving me crazy - suddenly had a red-light on the RC unit. Now it's working great. And people - as he said in the video, when you hit C1 and C2 which you can do simultaneously, then hit the video-roll button, then hit the exposure-wheel (as a button, not a roll) you will hear a beeping countdown. First time I didn't hear this, and had to do it again. When you hear the beeping countdown you can go to the drone and hit the little inset button beside the drone's light. WORKED GREAT - THANK YOU JEFF - YOU SAVED THE DAY! CHEERS!
OMG you are a life saver Jeff. I just today tried the new update and was getting a message on the App saying Controller Poor Signal or something to that effect. This was after the Quad update. I wasn't getting any info on the Tablet. No picture, settings wouldn't save etc. I had a red light on my controller also. I called DJI they must be COMPLETE IDIOTS as this is the second time I had a problem with the Firmware update and they had no clue what to do. How is this possible with a multi million dollar company when all I needed to do is what you told me here to do and it worked ASAP !!!!!!!!!!!! Are they so big now they just don't care? They wanted me to send it in and asked all sorts of stupid questions like blaming the SD card etc, CLUELESS. Everything was fine until I tried THERE update. Cant thank you enough for this video it saved me big time. PS DJI here is an idea watch this video and learn something by it and teach your people to fix problems and know how to fix them and stop not helping people. Pretty bad when I spent 1/ 1/2 hours on the phone tonight and a You_Tube video fixed it in 5 minutes. LEARN SOMETHING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pretty much your video should be in the official "how to link" the P3 Adv to the RC - the one on the DJI web-site has an incorrect video ... your instruction of pretty c1 and c2, record *then* the dial worked...thanks man

I tried by DJI Go, and light on both devices tuned green, notice said it's linked, but still no control. Unfortunately my remote is different than your's.
So I have a green light on my controller. But a dark screen on the app. Everything was connected fine until I sent the craft in for gimble repair now I can't see through the camera via the app. Any thoughts....
I recently updated the drone and went out to fly it 5 mins after and couldn't get it to connect the app to the controller. I had it working literally minutes before. I tried everything all of the blogs say to do. Like you i couldn't get to the camera on the app because i couldn't get the device to recognize to get me that far. I'm fairly certain the controller is linked to the drone because once both are on, the light is green. I also have power over the camera and can gamble up and down. I cannot get the motors to work though. I know Dji recently has made the "device power up" before flight and wondering if that's the reason for that. The only logical thing i can think of is literally my USB port on the controller is out/fried and i'm not getting the connection there. I also couldn't get the controller to take the update and that would make sense too. Do you have any suggestions at all? anything would help greatly!
