Hey cassandra can you please please do a video on this website called skincarisma. I use it as a reference for what products to or what not to buy based on ingredients and a lot of products that skincare gurus recommend have ingredients that aren’t fa safe or can feed and worsen it. So I stray from a lot of products but then I don’t really have too many options. I really need your help.
Ever sense i saw your video on not cleansing in the mornings it basically made alot of sense for my sort of skin type, and i no loner sense my pores trying overcompensate with oils anymore. Just today though i woke up after leaving some “Lactic Acid 10 +ha” for the FIRST TIME last night, and i conflicted wether i now should cleanse in mornings or stick with washing with just water?
Whats your thoughts on dry brushing?? I had never even heard of it before. The brand I got claims it is a "workout for your face". It claims helping with fine lines and plumping in addition to, of course, exfoliation.
SOS! Cassandra can you please do a video for eczema & acne sufferers? The products recommended for my dry eczema skin never match the products needed for my also acne prone skin!!!
What you said at the end made me cry. I’ve made so much progress with my skin this year. I started using Retin A and after 15 years of acne, it has changed my skin. Unfortunately, I had a short lapse in my acne and currently have a huge cyst on my chin and multiple small pimples on my jaw line. After having clear skin for months and now only owning lightweight foundations, I was reminded how difficult having acne is. Your words reminded me of my worth. Thank you Cassandra.
I have the same problem. Keep doing what you are doing but if you are a women who suffers from hormonal acne on your chin then try Flo vitamins. Take two a day. It has helped me so much along with Cassandras skincare advice.
Hey Cassandra, it’s true we are out harshest critics. I first saw your acne vids before subscribing. All I thought was wow, this girl must be a model. So beautiful.
I’ve been struggling with hormonal acne for five years. I just cleared my skin. I use Cetaphil face wash, clindamycin 1% and benzoyl peroxide 5% prescription gel-let it sit for 30 mins, Aveeno spf 30, and the ordinary hydrating moisturizer and organic rose hip oil at night. I love clay masks, face steaming 2x/month, exercising, and eating healthy.
I can’t believe I just found your channel yesterday. Been binge watching your videos all day. As someone who has the same skin type and is currently battling acne, I’m inspired and empowered by your journey.
Been following for over 8 years.... Acne for around 13 years.... Finally on roacutane and feeling progress and find myself frustrated by not attaining perfection. Love your videos
Always thankful for your honesty and transparency and not being ashamed of having not perfect skin. from one acne sufferer to another, happy holidays! (: 🦋❤️
I am going to show this video to my 13 year old daughter...she is really struggling with acne and it is really killing her self esteem! Thank you so much for this!! 😘
I got my Hmnkind Masks today, and I got to say they are freaking amazing 🤩 Thank you for recommending them because this mask is a game changer. Never going back to cotton masks 😷
I would love to see if you have any updated skincare recommendations for people with dry/dehydrated as well as pimple/acne prone skin!! I always find it a struggle to balance between both sides of my skin's needs since products rarely keep non-oily skin acne in mind
I love the progress not perfection thing even Hyram is saying it it gives me more confidence because when I get progress in my skin I feel a lot happier than if I were to expect perfection
Acne has a chronic character. Roaccutane has helped me the most. But is not completely gone. But I am glad that I take that medication. Very helpful what your doing. We are not alone. Maybe someday there will be a cure .
I got so excited when you said The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% is back and was wondering why I didn't get any notification from Deciem because I subscribed to their email notifications but when I checked the website it still says it's being updated :(

This year I went to the dermatologist for the first time in my life cuz I started to struggling with acne, but you girl, you helped me a lot to find products that actually works on my skin and your kind words helped me too to battle my mental upside downs when I was feeling sad because of that. Cassandra a millions of GRACIAS. Have a happy new year and lot of love from El Salvador.
Thank you for these videos, Cassandra. I started to suffer from acne in my early teens, which was deemed to be puberty related, but never really went away lmao. (I'm in my early 20s) Some of it is now hormonal as well, I'm sure. Anyway, I'm really glad to see people like you preaching that it's okay to get breakouts and dark spots, and that these things take time to treat. So, thank you. Really happy to be a subscriber. 💜
Same! I got your regular old teenage acne, and it was never super bad, but a most other people my age started to grow out of it mine just...never left and by my mid-20s I realised it was here to stay lol
I got the cosrx salystic acid cleanser and my skin feels a bit dry (dryer than when using my gentle purito cleanser) - but it does the job of exfoliation - so I use it twice a week in the shower and also clean my chest and back where I have some acne.
Loved this video and all your info... I’m pretty obsessed with skincare, and not just my own. Your journey is fascinating and surely comes with much intelligence.
Can I just say THANK YOU FOR YOUR HONESTY?! Hi! Im a new follower. Im 48 and I have cystic acne, so bad it hurts. Not even lying. (I was blessed in jr high school & high school, never had a single bit of a problem!) Especially, now in the winter. My face stays flaky dry and like I said hurts, God forbid, menapause shows up, it breaks out worse. I live in Florida, so summers are brutally oily to my face. My insurance just kicked in today, so I'm going to start going to a dermatologist! Love your channel!
i’m trying to focus on my progress, i used to have perfect skin. but 2020 stress, mh recovery and maskne has caused me to have awful, painful acne. the last few weeks, my skin has begun to improve, finally! i’m still getting breakouts, currently got an awful breakout on my forehead, but it’s progress, and i’m trying to be less ashamed of my acne! you’ve helped me with that :) i wish i could afford zitsticka! currently i’m using ‘dots for spots’ hydrocolloid patches. they deffo help when i have huuuuge pustules.
I wish all this stuff had been available to me as a teenager and young adult! My acne finally cleared at age 33 due to having a complete hysterectomy. I still have occasional breakouts but I can now treat it as well as help my teenagers with their acne. Thank you for all the recommendations! The oil with Salicylic acid looks amazing (and we have been using zit patches this year- they are a game changer for big sore zits!)
I actually love your content ur so informative and seem to know a lot about acne and I suffer quite bad from it and the ordinary products you recommended have really helped

The O salicylic acid solution is back!!!!????Screaming ❤️ I loved the original formula, I hope the new one is just as good. It’ll be great if they created a 0.5% Bha toner, 1% serum, 2% Bha serum. There are so many aha products 😒
Hey Cass, I wanted to thank you for doing so much for me this year. I have learned a lot with your videos and my skin has never been this happy. Forever grateful, merry-late-Christmas!! 🎄🤍
Merry Christmas Cassandra, Thank u for all ur videos, knowledge, self confidence & inspiration u gave me in 2020 which has been a challenging year. GBU
Hey Cassandra! I’ve been a subscriber for years since the beginning. I’ve been through some changes (RUclips changes creating new accounts) Are you a certified dermatologist yet??? I think I remember you wanted to pursue that. Love you and glad to see your still active and still educating us! ❤️❤️❤️
I was one of the people who got a burn from The Ordinary salicylic acid! I thought I goofed with my spf but now I know it wasn’t my fault. Took me a while to go back to acids after that..
I remember my mom always raving about Phisoderm when I was young. Then I tried it and it did nothing. There's like a nostalgia element to skin care when I think about how my mom views acne
Casandra I love your videos ! I am curious about what size you used for the mask ? My mom have problems with her skin with the cotton masks and in your video it's super cool that we can see the product.
Interesting! I was wondering why it was no longer available and I loved this product! However, I never left it on my skin for too long. I would wake up put some on my face, have my coffee etc and then I would gently wash it off and go about my daily morning routine, I did that because Dr Dray influenced me in not leaving acids on my face but using it as cleansers. I had noticeable results using it this way both in pore condition and hyperpigmentation. Also, it did not irritate my rosacea at all.
It’s true what is up with that. I cleared my skin as well in 2012 and now ever since Covid happened my skin had been breaking out. Everybody’s skin is different. It’s all about trial and error as well. I hope you and your family have a wonderful merry Christmas and happy holidays 😊 and also have a happy new year 😊
@@hamtaro6471 They're all amazing indeed, but Hyram and James aren't dermatologists. To give an example Hyram has been suggesting that we avoid products with alcohol but he doesn't know the formulation and how much alcohol the product contains to make it safe.
Thanks, Cassandra. I've been struggling with adult acne (possibly caused by stress) for the past few months. Binge-watching your content has helped me realize I'm not alone, that acne does not define me. However, it's an everyday battle; breakouts happen and I get even more stressed and so the cycle continues. Do you have any suggestions for male hormonal acne? Is it even a thing? Thanks!
Hi Cassandra! I tried looking for the salicylic acid serum of the ordinary but still can’t find it on their site. Do you know where I can buy the new formulation?
I also happen to have had chemical burns from The Ordinary salicilic acid and I can tell it is not fun to have extremely red, dry, flaky and itchy skin when you're used with oily skin. Thankfully there were no marks left after that. I have to mention that I don't have sensitive skin and my skin it's used with AHA, BHA, vit C, retinol.
Hi Cassandra. I have been following you on RUclips for years and I love your videos. Recently I’ve been using murad to help with my acne scars and I wanted to know your input on that. Also, what can you recommend for my cheeks for red hypigmentation that’s I’ve had for almost 6 years. I always feel so self conscious and I think the only person that can really help is you since I relate so much to your journey.
I absolutely love your videos! Especially your expertise on The Ordinary♥️ I would love love love more information regarding the pycnogenol 5% I love this product but I’m scared using it! I’m not sure what products to use it with and without. I know it doesn’t pair well with water products, but with it being different than the other antioxidants from the line. I’m worried I’ll use it with something I’m not supposed to and it will render it inactive!😞
Hi Cassandra and thank you for sharing your knowledge! 🦋It would be amazing to watch a video about “ENDOCRINE DISRUPTIONS” in products and suggestions on how to avoid them! Bye
Not to sound like an ass...but covid and specially wearing mask make me learn more about my skin...I work at a warehouse...10hrs shift. So I hear lot of people complain about maskne, but my acne remain clear around cheeks and even chin cleared up...only forhead was full of it. So I knew whatever I was doing is not causing acne...tried vitamin D, A, E, zinc, omega 3&6 mainly for covid but I guess they cleared my forhead acne... I never thought I would be on the other side...but now when people tell me hoe my skin looks and cleaned up a lot...I actually believe them. I look forward to look at my face in the mirror while turning water...and even when I turn my eyes into microscope zooming in mirror....I rarely find any acne.
I love her unapologetic positivity and resilience but I disagree. It isn't "progress not perfection" it is self-acceptance no matter good, bad, ugly, perfect, progressing, backsliding or chillaxing doing nothing. Especially for high-achieving productive hard-working people like this YTer, it is fantastic that she can see perfectionism is harmful. But I hope she realizes quickly she doesn't have to do or be anything other than who she is rn rn. Her intrinsic value and worth are a given, not dependent on her face not her accomplishments. Her birthright is love and she is loved, start to finish and everything in between. Fact.

It’s true what is up with that. I cleared my skin as well in 2012 and now ever since Covid happened my skin had been breaking out. Everybody’s skin is different. It’s all about trial and error as well. I hope you and your family have a wonderful merry Christmas and happy holidays 😊 and also have a happy new year 😊
Gosh I love your videos. I have become the skincare specialist of my friend group. Everyone comes to me for advice hahaha thank you
Cassandra and Dr Dray >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hyram and James 😁
Facts tho
All of them are amazing!
@@hamtaro6471 They're all amazing indeed, but Hyram and James aren't dermatologists. To give an example Hyram has been suggesting that we avoid products with alcohol but he doesn't know the formulation and how much alcohol the product contains to make it safe.
Thx for shering your knowledge & experience, greetings from Poland :-)
Omg. I love that. This will be my new tag line!! ❤❤
love your channel! 🤩
Do you know where I can buy the new formulation?
wooo :) thank you for these videos, you SAVED my skin this year :D happy holidays Cass!
again early but not so early . happy christmas
Happy christmas
Hey Cassandra would love to see a top 5 body spray video❣💕
Progress is success!
Yay 😍 love you cass ❤️ sending love from India ❤️
Wow, so fantastic
Fact.
