Most people don’t have access to good internet, not because of price, but because of shitty infrastructure. Internet back in 2013 and ever current internet is far too unstable for always online.

Don Mattrick is probably the best PS4 salesman around. I've never been so encouraged to buy one. He just advertises and promotes Playstation so perfectly

This interview was the reason I chose the PS4 after being a longtime Xbox player, both original and 360. Here I am in 2019 and still haven't regretted it.

Its actually unbelievable the damage Xbox did to themselves in 2013. Even over a decade later, the Xbox brand has never recovered from the disasterous launch of the Xbox One. They had some great momentum during the 360 era, but failed to transition that into the Xbox One. To top it all off, you had tone-deaf game execs like Mattrick who couldn't care less about buring goodwill with their fanbase as long as their money is secured.

I got into an argument once with someone about this. He also bashed sony like they were just as guilty. He defended every last aspect of microsoft's original xbox one plan. He even said, "I agree with them, just stick with 360." Couldn't believe he could say that.

Something I learned about console fanboyism, is no matter how badly a company screws something up, that person will defend their favorite brand no matter what. I know an Xbox fanboy, and he's the type of dude who says "Titanfall 1 is better than Titanfall 2" despite 2 being objectively better in pretty much everyway lol (Genuinely believe he was salty that Titanfall 2 was on the PS4) . As a kid I was fortunate to have a PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox and from then on I try to have most of the consoles when they release. I try to be open to most products on all 3 consoles and their choices, but the coverage that was going on with the one at the time was so horrendous, the One was the first time I openly skipped an Xbox console 😂 I've been enjoying the Series S though, and playing catch up.

There definitely were. The big titles had a lot of attention put in them while today they push out a lot of mid. Not saying there aren’t great games currently, but there were more hits than misses back then.
Sony was arrogant with the PS3. It was hard to develop for, and very expensive at launch. This was Microsoft's turn, and it was even worse for them. They're still feeling the effects of it. Xbox Series X/S is still lagging behind the PS5

By saying the "best" console, I was only referring to the power and performance. It factually is the most powerful console ever made as of today. But it is an opinion of which one you'd personally prefer. Probably not any more, but when I posted that comment, the Xbox One was 3rd in sells.
