I'm 63 and my gorgeous wife is 31. Couldn't be happier. Why is she with me? I am very tall, fit, athletic and attractive. But more importantly, I give her security and lifestyle she could only dream about with a younger guy. And, yes, I have a very strong, enforceable prenup in place.

The younger women my age mostly date in same age bracket. I am part Filipino. There isn't really much in common with a Gen Z / Millennial to a boomer. Not much to talk about. Not much attraction. Most are better off being single anyway. Just being blunt.
There are appropriate and inappropriate age differences when it comes to dating and marriage. When you get into a 2, 3 or more decades it’s questionable. Obviously those who have a mate with that many will justify it one way or another. There’s a reason why so many cultures/countries other than a few frown upon it.
With all this going on in the monologue. I understand it. But with a huge age difference , there is little to nothing in common . No past references to reflect on . Yes you can make conversation, but it will be short and limited in my opinion. Totally different worlds
Anytime a am approaching a door and I see there is someone also approaching it from the other side, I open it and allow them to proceed first. The age or gender of the other person does not matter, it’s just what I do.
No way. Testosterone begins to drop at about 25 and by the time a man is 60 his free testosterone levels are (like everything else) greatly diminished.
Your description of baby-boomers (born in the 40's to 60's) was dead on. Although here in western Canada we didn't take the girl to dinner, we were usually too broke, so we took her to have a milkshake, etc; but they still appreciated it. (and yup, in the early years it was in the parents' car). (funny how close Canadian and American societies were in their behaviors back then). Enjoyed your essay there, Mark.
Financial security comes to mind for the Filipina. Her loyalty is to her family. If guys can accept that, the relationship could work. Just my two centavos. All the best to you, Jen, and Rogan.
I was in Bohol a few weeks ago. My date introduced me to a market stall where I got eyed up by half a dozen Pinas. Thirty minutes and a lot of laughter later, she gave me the conclusion. I passed with top marks. Then she said something that floored me. "They liked how you spoke with them and didn't ignore them." Shocked I asked did she mean foreigners. Yes, generally they don't talk, just ignore. Maybe that's tourists rather than the people settling there? But either way, I was stunned to hear it.
Cultural mores do vary but human nature does not. Physical attraction is the biggest motivator for both sexes. However this is soon superseded in women’s nature by the desire for wealth, status and utilitarian value. Women of a lower socio-economic background (low class-third world environment) will accept a man of less material worth than a woman from a higher economic background. Lots of expats who were never able to get their financial operation and hence their mate selection off the ground in the U.S., think they can achieve success in a third world country. Many of these men have little or nothing more that their socialist insecurity check to attract a woman.
Traditional life is the best life. Today's generation has "relationships" online, seriously? RUclipsrs are also guilty of this, their lives revolve around their channel. It still comes down to "what can you offer me?" in most relationships, and this transactional nature is heightened in SE Asia. At the end of the day, how you treat others, and how you make them feel, is what matters most.
That was painted with a VERY broad brush. I'm not going to lie though it would be very nice if what you said was completely true about the baby boomer generation cuz I'm part of it. I have to admit that you do have some truth to yourself because we have some new people that are coming into our work. They are kind of difficult and we've had to lower our standards. People in their 20s 30s and 40s even are still into cartoon characters and value them at a very high level in their life

VERY well done, Mark. I have been a door opener all of my life. When a woman is unfamiliar with "Southern Gentlemen" and attempts to open her own door or otherwise circumvent my chivalrous gesture, I remind her that a lady should allow a gentleman to do his job. Most like it.
*Older men tend to have their careers and life goals more established, and they know how to communicate effectively and handle relationships with maturity. This makes them feel more secure and understood, which is highly appealing to many younger women.*
Hey Mark, learn English ,you often use the word ocean ,,you live by the SEA not ocean and most of the Philippines islands are surrounded by the SEA not ocean.

All true, well said. But an older man's wealth cannot be eliminated from the equation.
This is true. Thank you for watching ☺️
All male / female relationships are transactional. Beauty for resources. Since the caveman days.
My wife and I met at fourteen, married at eighteen and will soon be together for sixty-five years.
And you can reflect back in time at a specific moment and relive it with her. Priceless

Good talk Mark but I don’t go as far as opening car doors or pulling out chairs anymore that rubbish ended for me thirty years ago. Cheers 🍻

How many bold butchers and being sought after by younger women.? ZERO
Yes, in PI but certainly not in the U.S. Unless , of course, one is a sugar Daddy type, a Celebrity, etc..
