Myles, this is my favorite restaurant in the entire world. I try and make it in as often as possible. You have instilled a feeling of hometown pride in me that I will always treasure
This is just down the road from where I live, it is truly a unique place. The population there is like 8 people total, and the road to get there starts at basically nowhere and goes to nowhere. And the bridge itself goes nowhere as well. But the store/bar itself is really cool.
I love small town stuff. I spent most of my life in Vermont and traveling the country. I always preferred the small town local restaurants and bars. Hopefully my family will be touring the country in our own bus to home conversion thingy. I watch stuff like this for ideas on place to go that I've never been to.
I went to Cornell College about ten miles from Sutliff. Baxa's was our "church" where we'd go Sunday mornings for all the fried food to cure the hangover. I've got a dollar on that ceiling.
I have ordered several t shirts from you guys, and just let me say the quality is fantastic ! Thanks . I grew up in Ste. Genevieve, Mo , and know all about small town tavern's , their the best ! Midwest is the Best !
Myles, you want the best ranch in this country? Saint Albans, West Virginia. The Cafe. It’s the local favorite restaurant & bar. The ranch brings me back there every time.
Sutliff is one of my favorite places. Canoed there on the Cedar many a time and enjoyed a tenderloin and a couple beers. I’ve got a couple dollars on that roof somewhere, too.
i absolutely love you and that chris guy . oh you betcha and the ope guy are the funniest videos on the internet . i die laughing and even when im not laughing its like im buzzin with the boys virtually
If you want to see a small town bar like no other with dollar bills on the ceiling then come to New Mexico! We have a bar up in the mountains in cloudcroft and it’s called “western bar” people for DECADES have signed a dollar bill and they put it on the ceiling…me and my family have like 7 up there! Great bar and GREAT FOOD in a great great GREAT area!!! New Mexico is the land of enchantment for a reason!!!
Hey Miles! We aren’t mid-west but check out GQ’s best dive bars Billy Goat Saloon in Bayfield Colorado. Spent so many good times here in the 90’s. Pot lucks, football, pool, poker, but mostly family and friends. The current owner has continued the great feel as well as contributing so much to the community in our small town. You should come get a warm Bayfield welcome some time!
I'm think I finally get it. I've watched at least say, 20-30 of your videos and why they rhyme with my soul. The mid west is literally, and I mean exactly like everywhere from Ontario to P.E.I. (even accents are similar(barring Quebec), and alot of ling2o) But especially culture)) . I'm working on the west coast now but you can't take the Hick out of the boy. You should check out our small towns. Start in the Ottawa valley and work east. Then Vancouver Island and work east till you've covered Alberta. Cheers and keep it up.
Yes, a pay it forward jug at every bar with an outdoor area that is not so #1-crime ridden such that the jug gets stolen and #2-government ridden such that it is illegal!
Dude!! You were an hour from my house! I was there the end of may and had a bologna sammich. You gotta check out bs general store in folletts ia. And if you do, please let me know. The small town bar vid got me hooked because its just like bs. You will love it.
@@tomtheplummer7322 Oh, I wholeheartedly agree. It's not even a competition. But if ranch is all that's available, I would much rather have a thick, buttermilk ranch.
You MEED to go to Mitchell’s Liquor Box in Eastman, Wisconsin!!!! Do a minnow shot and put a dollar on the ceiling! Talk to the bartender, Fat Jay. Amazing place. Iowa native here
The intoxication level increasing a little bit every scene is the best part of this tour
I was thinking the same thing! Speech gets slower and lightly slurred!
He sounded lit at the very beginning
The sign of a true professional
And he had turned into Mr Lahey by the end😂
Myles, this is my favorite restaurant in the entire world. I try and make it in as often as possible. You have instilled a feeling of hometown pride in me that I will always treasure
The hot beef on Wednesday is amazing

I’ve actually took a piss off that bridge, after hours.
Thank you.

this dude is asking the real questions 😂😭
Thus series is amazing I really hope it picks up and more people keep watching cuz I don't want this to stop!

Mini tacos, onion rings, patty melt. Every time. Such a good spot.
Chicken strips and Cheese balls maaaaaaaaaan! decades of the same order every single time haha.
@@OrdinaryDAD69 Never tried the chicken strips but the cheese balls are DAMN GOOD.
@@lazyblazer Every single time I go there I get them. I have been going there for like 2 decades. Used to live like 10 mins from it.
My Sutliff tradition was to kayak in, split a 12 pack on the bridge, then get a 12 pack to go and camp on a sandbar about a mile down river.
Pleaseee keep these coming
What a fun place to fish! Summer and Winter!!!! They could have a golf cart with beer and snacks drive up and down it!!!!!
I have ordered several t shirts from you guys, and just let me say the quality is fantastic ! Thanks . I grew up in Ste. Genevieve, Mo , and know all about small town tavern's , their the best ! Midwest is the Best !
Most famous small town midwest bar is Fast Eddies Bon Air in Alton. List isn't complete until you go.

Earned a like for the bridge love.
Edit: why was I not subbed, I watch you all the time.
Pork tenderloin is my personal favorite out there at sutliff
Great tradition 👏, great grindz
Love it man. Stop by the U.P. Or Arts Tavern in Glen Arbor. But remember to bring cash.
I've drank there many times. Great location, not far from IC or CR.
You should go into Welch Ave Station in Ames IA and get the 4 alarm pizza and inferno wings... with ranch.
So cool! Hope people use the jug
Next round is on me bucket... not bad
Please come to Murrells Inlet South Carolina “a small fishing town with a big drinkin problem” lol
You need to come to Attica Bar in Attica, WI. County Hwy X and C.
Miles, I was done drinking lattes for the evening until I ran across this vid. One more in hand.
Thanks for the triangle lesson...
You know how its a small town bar?
It has a coffee brewer.
Truth
Triangles 😆😅.. My ankle hurts 😆😅

I would love to have a few beers with this guy.....So funny.....
Best ranch dressing ever? Isabella Top’s in Bloomington, MN 🤘
Hidden Valley is the best ranch!
I saw a Grain Belt sign... legit Midwest bar!
“they almost make you drink on it”🤣🤣💀💀
The fact he said "river" "bridge" and "ponder" in the same sentence only says, I'm an artists when's I drinks..
The bridge definitely has a lot of personality!
I live in the small town right next to this place lmao we actually took our senior picture on the other side of the bridge
Have you considered the bowling alley in Sioux Rapids?
Whoa, whoa , easy killer, gods country is CLEARLY nortern Wisconsin , nort a 8! Musta had a bit of aiming fluid in ya already fer dat comment.
Literally grew up around there, used to get burgers with my dad when the bar was in MUCH worse shape lol.
I can see this growing! Lol! You need to visit the Tervan in Sandpoint Idaho! Doesn’t get any better! Lol! Skooners Rule!!
Yes, a pay it forward jug at every bar with an outdoor area that is not so #1-crime ridden such that the jug gets stolen and #2-government ridden such that it is illegal!
You need to go to the Hide-A-Way Lounge in Ionia, IA. My cousin owns it!
I love this

Right near me-been several times!
The DARE t shirt 😂
Hey it worked! 3rd times the charm!
Another top notch tradition created on a bridge of Madison County.
I still don't understand why you prefer runny ranch dip over a thick buttermilk ranch dip.
I hate ranch...gimme bleu cheese. Ranch is for kids. 💪👍🏻😏

Triangles! Boom. Bridges! Need a fact check from @real civil engineer
As an aluminum estimator that will have to look at 40'+ spans, yes, triangles are good.
I don't know what that means but I assume you know your triangle.
@@christinaFaith84 lol I look at construction drawings and the triangles are a truss system designed for long spans between structural points.
Go to Three Days in Owasa, Iowa
As an Iowan, I’m proud
I’ve been dying for a new ranch wrangler.
Out where the hoot owls do what to the chickens?🤣
Twenty years ago the scene was a bit different in Sutliff before dive bars became a thing….
Your the best
