Never tried mip tools, because they hard to get in europe, but I use Hudy tools for 10 years now and I am satisfied. Would be nice to see a comparisons between the two brands
Wow, thanks Vas! It's been a solid 2 years. I've been living the MTB world (riding 3-5 times a week) and recently got into Toyota Tacomas this past year. I sold off my entire RC collection with the exception of one 1/8th scale buggy (Tekno EB48 2.0) and haven't touched it since OCRC (my last and only local track) closed in December 2021. I've really forgotten how much work goes into not only RC, but filming and editing. I have 4 videos headed out next week....we will see if I can keep up.
Wow blast from the past good to see you back! Spent many an hour watching and learning, since then I've started my own RC related channel. Hope all is well dude.
Yay tool Tuesday 🎉. Hope this is a sign of more awesome videos to come. Thanks for the excellent video. Love my mip.yes they should do a speed bit handle.
MIP should DEFINITELY make a speed bit handle....!!! Surprised that isn't already a thing... This tool bag is just what I need, I have a Serpent one that has failing zippers, and the reason I love that bag so much is that it has the smaller elastic spots for speed bits... I think I'm gonna have to pick this bag up, along with a few new MIP tools to keep my collection up to par with my son's assortment of amber handled tools... Cheers, can't wait to see the SCT 2.0 videos!
MIP are the best all around RC tools for sure. Although if they could somehow incorporate a bearing top piece in their handles or maybe a 2.0 version and still keep the old ones they would perfection!! When I’m on my bench I find myself reaching for my Vanquish drivers just cause of that bearing top handle makes it so nice. OMG YES!!! MIP PLEASE MAKE A 1/4” QUICK CHUCK HANDLE!!
The Amber color handles comes from the Thorp brand of Allen wrenches that MIP bought out when Thorp went out of business, though Im glad they continued with that style. RIP Thorp.
Yep, Eustace, the owner at MIP made a deal with Thorp to continue the legacy of the amber handle. It was a deal to keep the name + MIP at first and then fully MIP later on.
Dealers were just given the details this morning. They should have pre orders ready by end of today. I know Fierce Pete is always quick to get them up...larger retailers like Amain may take some time. I believe Tekno will have them ready to ship by the end of the month though.
The Tekno series will be going up on my channel starting at 5am PDT (CA time) next Tuesday (October 17th). Should be 4 videos, all up with in an hour starting at 5
Yeah, I heard a couple of days ago and pre-ordered one. I'll say - I had lunch with Eustace (Owner of MIP) in 2017 and told him the things that his company was missing: 2.0mm ball end, MIP tool case and a 1/4" QR Amber Handle. I'm thinking I wasn't comped for my ideas....
@@TheRCNetwork yeah I agree. Can we get some part time remote work opportunities where we develop product ideas and are compensated for suggestions??? Just a couple hours a week I could submit it as contract work if needed
It's Tools Tuesday again! Thanks for your video! I consider Hudy Tools are the Best, but I think mip tools are very good quality too (only heard good things about), but they're not available in Europe. For the ratchet, I like the tamiya one the most. Thanks again for your content
Thanks buddy! Yeah, I think RC tools are geographical based on availability. Hudy are great, but very expensive in the US if you can find them. I'm sure the same goes for MIP in Europe.
@@TheRCNetwork Yeah you're right! I would love to try the mip tools, maybe they get an eueopean distributor in future. However, it's great to see an upload from you👍 please continue making content 🤞
They definitely should do either a ratcheting 1/4dr handle or just a 1/4dr bit holder. I personally am using a pair of Hudy handles for my 1/4dr bits I have a dirt pick as well but mine is an old 0.50 Thorp wrench I broke the tip off instead of a 1.5mm all my SAE orange handles are OG Thorp BTW only my metric and nut drivers are MIP 😂
Ratcheting would be cool....I just want a fat amber handle with that speed bit QR. Last time I spoke to Eustace, he actually bought Thorp with a license agreement for so many years and then it would be 100% MIP's at some point. I forget the dates and times, but I believe it's all MIP now. They fully adopted all of Thorp's practices and efforts on the tools which is a good thing
@TheRCNetwork I've been out of the loop for a while. Just the last month learning a little about the Tekno line up. Not sure the differences between the the.1 .2 .3 versions or what parts support is like. Seems like a model is active for something like 6 years. The MT410 looks interesting but don't have 8th scale electronics for it. If I go with the SCT would throw the Tekin system from my TLR SCTE 2.0 in it.
The SCT410.X is not discontinued in wake of the SCT410 2.0. Tekno has great part support in the US, either locally or online. Tekno direct usually ships out next business day and arrives pretty quick, as does Amain. The MT will need 1/8th scale electronics and a 4s minimum Lipo. In comparison, the TLR SCTE 2.0 vs the SCT410 2.0 - you will see a massive improvement in handling, durability and steering and your electronics will drop right in
@TheRCNetwork Thank you Rich. Great point about the 4s lipo especially if Thunder Power. Also about the steering. On the Losi scte you are right the steering wore out so fast.
Are MIP the best RC tools? If not....which ones??
Never tried mip tools, because they hard to get in europe, but I use Hudy tools for 10 years now and I am satisfied. Would be nice to see a comparisons between the two brands
MIP FTW
I think there worth every penny never stripped a screw or wore out
yes. they are the best.
Mip is the best r/c hand tool.. I've snapped many other brands . Now if they could make some tuff lexan scissors lol jj...
“THE” RC Network?? Welcome back Rich

Agreed on the MIP handle! BTW, the SCT videos launched this morning. Watch them here: ruclips.net/p/PL5_p3gwitPInOWACnchwgeIPUdbN1RY0X
So glad your back man!
Thanks buddy! 4 other videos launched last week, check them out!
Good quality rachet tool is always a must.
100% agree. I've been asking MIP for years!
Yes they shoud make a handle for the speed bits. Im using 2 Integy handles that work great for that.
Yes they should!
Your videos are top notch glad your back ..love the build series you do ..no matter what kit you build there so awesome!! 👌
Thanks buddy! It was a fun build. 4 videos released today - check them out!
Good to have you back, Rich ;)

100% agree! I've owned the VP drivers and wasn't a fan of the overly smooth, heavy handles...but the bearing was cool
Hooray!! about time, I’ve been using the Hudy case for my MIP tools. Looking forward to the Tekno series 🤙
Nice! I had the Hudy set/case for a bit...it was quite a bit smaller than this one. Next Tuesday is the release date - 5am CA time. Stay tuned!
Yes! He’s back!!! 😃

Thanks for another awesome review

Heyyy RC Network is baacckkkk
Thanks for stopping by!
I use the wera 813r small handles with my MIP bits. I don't like the handles on MIP screwdrivers. You aren't beating MIP, they are a must have.
Thanks for commenting and stopping by!
Hello can i pre order the Tekno SCT410 2.0??
Dealers were just given the details this morning. They should have pre orders ready by end of today. I know Fierce Pete is always quick to get them up...larger retailers like Amain may take some time. I believe Tekno will have them ready to ship by the end of the month though.

Hey Rich they made the handle we have been asking for

Mip shock pliers and Philips and flat head drivers!
That would be really cool..especially the shock pliers...the Tekno's are my favorite to date and I've hade the Protek, Associated, and TLR
You have a million dollars worth of mip drivers that must be really nice I only have three
Naw, not $1M...but close
Now if i could get the Standard set in black , i have the blk metric set.
I believe MIP just released the Black handle tools as a limited edition. They can only be bought on their site though.

I thought I retired from making RUclips videos...but then Tekno has to come out with a new truck! 4 videos released today
Mip does have a speed handle

Where you been?
Little vacation....😁. 4 videos being release next Tuesday on the new SCT410 2.0. Stay tuned!
Road to MT410 2.0 .....................................
Quite possibly.....I believe they stated that many ET48/EB48 2.X upgrade parts will work on this platform.
That is what support was telling me about?
Most likely. They've been saying they were working on a newer "outdoor" SCT for a while.
@TheRCNetwork I've been out of the loop for a while. Just the last month learning a little about the Tekno line up. I think this should be been out years ago. Why does a killer tool company not have this already.
100% agree. I mentioned the tool bag, 2.0 ball end and the 1/4" speed bit handle many moons ago!
Wait what?! Richard didn't ban RC from his existance ?!
😂 not ban...just reduce by a lot! I have two RC's now....and that's double from about a week ago.
