What a lovely man ..awesome personality and so fun ..
Representing the best of humanity. Thank you Kirk Fletcher!
what a great player great person!! Kirk is gold . THANK YOU Kirk!!!
I'm kinda blown away that you're giving this away and not asking for anything in return. I just learned more in about 5 mins. than I have in a long time. Thank you for your time and generosity. It's also cool to see how much depth is behind your playing; that's good to know for anyone who plays guitar because we're all still learning. Peace.

My dude...you are rad. No ego, no BS...just great feel and sound.
I've been playing for 30 years and this was a great lesson. Thank You.
Every now and again, God gets it so right. So so perfectly right. You literally vaporise any angst and frustration I have from a shitty day etc, just by playing and talking to us.
I get that, Kirk is such a sweet person, I met I'm at Normans Rare Guitars and he was soooo kind and humble
I believe his name is Kirk
What a beautiful comment
One of the most easy going, likeable people on here with immense talent. If I can end up with just an ounce of what he has I will be delighted. Great lesson Kirk.
Thanks for a great lesson. Every time Kirk says 'you know' he gets this great infectious smile. This man sending good vibes.
I love the way you teach and the underlying joy and love of music that is so evident❤😊
Miss you sooo much ! You have always been my favorite 💓! This is very exciting and fantastic! Mahalo!!!!!
Great lesson, but what really caught my attention was the way you speak. Gently with a big smile and shining eyes. We need more of that kindness in the world.
A beautiful soul. Thanks Kirk.
Thanks. I'm a blues dad learning a new hobby that won't send me to the doctor, so lessons like this go a long way. Your joyful personality makes it all that better.
Thank you Kirk for not only being an incredible musician but also for being an incredible human being. I found you through Joe Bonamassa and I’m so thankful that I did! 🙏
His free playing matches perfectly with the quick reflection (captured in the moment) from a whiskey glass.
We started as a thrash metal heavy metal band but his playing captivates us
Thank you for being a light Kirk ! The 'Gentle Giant'. You are a difference maker.
Like watching Bob Ross paint! I am truly mesmerized and fascinated by watching you play the guitar and talk about bar chords and double stops. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Massive thank you Kirk. As a 54 year old guy returning to guitar (electric) for the first time since 1992, your video has opened a very big door for me.
How's it going? Reply and learned it?
I'm curious as I'm an older man learning
@@chusamusic1409 Hello from Scotland, thanks for your reply.
It's going great so far. Slowly learning the pentatonic scale and triads. Most importantly, I'm loving it!
I used to watch Kirk Fletcher at Cafe Boogaloo in Hermosa Beach. What a great lesson, thanks!
I play blues, soul and reggae 99% of the time and it's amazing how much theory a person can know without realizing they know it.
Only recently discovered this guy and must say he always puts a smile on my face. His playing at norms rare guitars are awesome
Your magic is that you live and breath the guitar. The little riffs just come so naturally. But I love hearing you talk through this, it really is inspirational. Thanks Kirk.
usually im a hidden person around all this music channels and professional commentators. but you, you have the blues. thank u so much for sharing such a beautiful knowledge. rock on!
This is an awakening to me. I got more out of 5 min of your vid than from 2 years of experimenting. The way you explain it created that link I was missing to understand blending chords within finger picking. Thanks!
I am really glad I found you, sir. Love how you communicate the guitar.
Thank you brotha
One million thanks! For your music, love in what you do, and your good energy.
Love those double stop licks in the beginning --using the C chord in different places ---now I,m learning !Thankyou!
You’re an excellent teacher! Thank you.
one of the goats with a heart of gold Mr.Kirk Fletcher!!
Thanks! The best lesson I have on a style of playing that has eluded me but really speaks to inner groove 😊
We met at Jim's guitar shop in Torrance and talked about Bill Doggett! Good to see ya man! Maybe we'll jam sometime. "Honky Tonk".
Years ago I used to jam with a Kirk Fletcher jam track. Later I heard that same jam on the intro to the Larry Elder show. It validated my love for both these guys! I'm pretty sure they're friends.
Wonderful Person! Very Talented Musician!
PAY DIRT! The eagle just landed, Kirk! I've watched and learned some things in this realm from the great Cornell's site(s) and others....BUT...Something about your relaxed delivery and the way you just gradually built so much on seemingly so little - REALLY clicked for me! It's kept this old dabbler up past bedtime, but for a good reason! GREAT lesson, Bro! Thank you! Just subscribed.. 👍
Hey Kirk, thank you for this excellent bit of guitar wisdom. I could listen to you talk about this stuff all day - your warmth and humanity comes through and makes learning such a pleasure.
Thank you for sharing these musically beautiful sounding pointers 👍🏽👍🏼❗
All the best guitar players I know are happy people. This guy is no exception.
Thanks Kirk, I appreciate your way of teaching, it's very helpful
As a kid, I took guitar lessons from an accordion player. Those early music books had a lot of bass runs included in the “Old Suzanna” kind of songs. I didn’t really take to it at the time. Looking back, I did myself a great disservice. Once you hear them, you hear the snare. Then you hear the chords and melody line. Finally, the licks. By salivating over the flashy licks, I stunted my progress by years. At this old age, I’m obsessed by the connective tissues. So much so that I now listen to accordion players and watch their left (bass) hand. Life has a way of coming around full circle. Those bass hooks are magical. Thanks for a wonderful lesson Kirk.
KIRK, YES, OH YES!!! Dude, seriously man, awesome help right here, soooo many light bulbs went off with you explaining this stuff, so cool man, THANK YOU BIG TIME from a guy in Ohio!
Best lesson I’ve seen on n a while. Thank you so much for teaching us.

Your lessons are real gems! Thank you, brother!
Your brother taught me all I know about weight lifting. I’m glad I can continue to better my crafts in the same bloodline.
Thanks man, I could watch your fingers float across the fretboard all dang day.
Kirk, You are an absolute gem. Your teaching style is what I've been looking for after years of noodling my way around the Internet looking for courses or some other magic bullet so I can learn at a pace that keeps me engaged and wanting more. You're giving so much knowledge away and putting so much love into the guitar community.. we just can't thank you enough for your kindness. I only wish I would have found you years ago! ♥♥♥
This is the best kind of lesson because it makes you want to play! Mission accomplished.

@Andy_Guitar_P. Where's my gift?? Lol j.k
That's so useful, Mr. Fletcher. That its really the fills and triads that flesh out the song and give it character.
You Sir are speaking the language of music.. I subbed immiedatly..
Also there is something very comforting about the Way you explain it.. Like you’re also saying dont worry, you’ll get it just keep playing..
So thank you for this lesson.. I Can’t wait to get home to my guitar now 👍✌️
You come across with a nice humble manner.Your gold my friend.
The nicest smile I've ever seen & greatest and simplest tutorial on youtube! Thank you sir and I love the 66 Gibson and interestingly enough, there were 66 comments & I was also born in 66 before I responded!:)
Stumbled on and got smarter. Love the approach, this how to teach someone to play and make music without getting discouraged by the technical stuff. The notions under the lesson are foundational and provide relative experience to understand theory later, but make music now. Absolutely wonderful!

Love your music man, but how lucky am I to find this gem of a lesson.
You and that 335 belong together. Super clean chords. Thanks.
THANK YOU SIR… SO GOOD!
YOU TEACH US TO UNDERSTAND COGNITIVELY
WITH OUR MIND…. BUT YOUR PLAYING GETS US TO FEEL HOW TO PLAY… JUST AWESOME! 🎸🎶
This video just highlights the need to know theory. It makes riff writing and song writing so much easier when you know what will fit in any given situation. When I started playing 30 years ago, I had no idea what keys were or what chords fit where. It was pretty embarrassing when other guitarists would call out a key and I'd have to have them tell me what chords to play. I took lessons and theory really opened up the fret board for me.
Thank you Mr. Fletcher
Thanks man, I needed this today. Felt like I was sitting with a friend.
Thanx, Maestro 🌹🌹🌹
You’re the best, Kirk. Love you!
God bless Kirk, thanks!
