Kirk is definitely one of my favorite players,.....but more importantly,....one of my favorite people. He is such a genuine and sweet human being. I can't imagine having a more pleasurable expirience than sharing a space musically and verbally with Kirk. A truly special man.

I feel like I just got a thousand dollar lesson for free. Kirk played in Sydney at The Factory a couple of years ago. Just him and a strat through a tweed bassman - what a sound and presence. Had the pleasure of buying him and his band a cold beer toward end of a hot set. Such a sweet and talented soul.

Kirk is indeed a true gentleman and an extremely great bluesman. He played a local house (Lakewood, CA, I believe) a number of years ago where I came to see him. I was chatting with him before the gig started and mentioned that I was an experienced guitarist and played in a local blues band. To my shock, Kirk asked if I had my gear with me 'cuz if I did I was more than welcome to join them and sit in!! I was floored!! If I'd had my gear with me that night I would have definitely taken him up on the offer. It would have been an awesome occasion for me to play with this great man.

You remind me of why I play. Was feeling discouraged last night thinking why do I have all these guitars and not do anything with them (I play them all but thinking in the Grand scheme of things to whose benefit) then I listen to this and realize who I am in regards to Guitar Playing. I’m a blues man. Lover of Jesus first but a blues man nonetheless. Thanks Kirk for the reminder and for your uplifting personality which I’m sure is Christ in you. Well I’m through crying I’m going to play some! Blessings

Mr Fletcher. I feel like l owe you a long overdue apology.
I think it's probably at least 17yrs late, but I'm reminded of it every time l watch a Fab T.birds vid on here.
You were playing at The Brooke in Southampton, 🇬🇧, Im guessing in '07? Yourself and Kim Wilson were sitting outside a local cafe/bar around Lunchtime.
While my husband paid our bill, l mustered up the courage to interrupt you both to say Hello and that l'd been a fan since seeing (Kim) in London in '79, and that we'd be at the Gig that evening.
I believe l was a bit awe-struck, like a 47yr old shoolgirl (coupled with my British reserve). Because not only was this totally out of character for me, but l completely forgot to acknowledge you! I must have come across as extremely rude ..... and for this l apologise!
Honestly, it's something l still think about: it still makes me cringe!
Can l thank you for a brilliant Gig and some wonderful memories.

You seem like someone that would be great to hang out with and talk life and music. I grew up listening to AM radio with top 40, classic rock, old school R&B and country, but as a guitarist I loved EVH and Jimmy Page and became a hard rock/metal player. Starting about 15 years ago I started to move back to Blues and Blues Rock. I never miss your videos and "My Blues Pathway" has a permanent spot in my main playlist

So appreciative of you sharing this sir! Really dig your approach to getting those wonderful, soulful tones. Your generosity with your tone "secrets" reveals your deep understanding that a player can cop another player's rig all day, but in the end, they'll still sound like themselves (and not Kirk Fletcher!). That said, the lessons you've accumulated in your career are very helpful to anyone looking to improve their sound--and playing (your lesson videos are awesome!). Thanks again & all best!
