Thanks for introducing me to Kirk, his music, and his story. What a great player, teacher, and human being. I am at the early stages of learning to play the blues and Kirk's knowledge, ability to break it down into bite-sized pieces, and then demonstrate it for us in these lessons has inspired me to stay the course on my blues journey. I live in a rural area, so finding people to play with has been discouraging by itself, but to jam the blues , non existant...so, its been just me at home noodling around w no direction. Now im breaking out my guitar watching Kirk's vids, following along, and breaking some bad habits, like ignoring rhythm. Anyway, thanks for these videos and exposing me to Kirk.
That's awesome! Kirk is amazing!
Kirk is so steeped in the blues and it’s offshoots, church music included….it is just ON❤❤
Yep agreed!
Kirk is off the chain! Love that man’s guitar playing ! He inspired me to get a 335 and jam!
He is the man!
Kirk inspired me to burn my 335.
Kirk has been one of my favorite players since I run across his playing a couple years ago. By far the best rhythm guy in the business and one of the absolute best blues players of modern day.
For sure!
Kirk is an amazing player. Would love to see him discuss dynamics. It seems like that is one of the most useful things rarely discussed.
He does in the course. Full deep dive.
Kirk is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
Yeah he is amazing! Super diverse too!
Brett's questions to these pros from a viewers perspective is like taking a private lesson from your guitar teacher but better!
Thanks! Glad you like the vids!
Another amazing video Brett thank you for such great content and always reminding me to get back to the basics of rhythm playing. Hey just a curiosity but do you know Dave Cleveland at all?
It's amazing to see how far RUclips guitar lessons have gone. Thank you
You are welcome! Thanks for watching!
I couldnt agree with that more. Yea RUclips for your beingness.
Def gonna pick up the course. Kirk is such an amazing player. Happy to support. Thanks to you to Brett. Great stuff.
Awesome! Thanks for the support!
Incredible. So much feeling in your playing! Thank you!
Thanks for checking it out!
Frigging magic watching Kirk show Brett the style of players and then cracking up with laughter at the skill employed, thanks guys.
Thanks for checking us out! Glad you like the vids!
I didn’t know about the YT slow down thang!!! Boy do I need that! Thank you - you two make a great partnership👍🏻
Thanks! Yeah its a great feature!
Thanks so much Brett and Kirk! I have to also say, after I get over how rhythmic you guys are, that is what a great tone is supposed to sound like!
Thanks for checking it out!
Thank you, Kirk Fletcher, your demos are so honest, straight ahead, love the references to players. Not over explaining. I'm a sax player, fairly experienced and seeing/hearing you play informs my playing. Rhythm guitarists are central to the feel
Thanks for watching!
The new course featuring Kirk is terrific! Bravo
Awesome! So glad you like it! Thanks for the support!
Kirk is such a nice down to earth guy! On top of being an incredible player!
100% agreed!
Love Kirk! He is an incredible player! Keep the Smiles going!!! 😁
Thanks for tuning in!

Papa Stache, I dig you and Kirk Fletcher up in the kitchen schooling us
2). I got my Boss nextone tweeked like Kirk. I sport a Ibanez rg 320 For real
3. I miss the mustache
4. Thought about inviting kirt back again? ?
5. Suggestion: You and Marty Swartz sitting in the kitchen
6. 🤙 Keep on truckin’ !
Thank you, Kirk Fletcher and Brett Papa. One of the amazing things that Kirk Fletcher does is take a technique and walk it through the different genres of music. You can actually hear and see how jazz, blues, rock and roll, gospel, and country are connected. So much knowledge and practical experience. He should do some guest lecturing at music conservatories.
Bobby Womack is best known for R&B songs like "That's the way I feel About Cha", "If you think You're lonely Now", "Harry Hippie", and "Across 110th Street".
He was also Sam Cooke's back guitarist.
Thanks for checking it out.
Beautiful lesson! Kirk is the MAN!
Yes he is! Thanks for watching!
I love this!! Thanks guys!!

Agreed!
Big Daddy Fletcher got the rhythm and blues. Love this stuff.
Thanks for checking it out Tim!
That intro was amazing!
Thanks for checking it out Greg!
AWESOME! This video gives me learning and inspiration for the next 12 month - especially the trick with strumming like the drummer beats the HiHat!
Awesome! Glad it helped ya out!
Kirk I, I sure like the second one you did with the double stops. Got a guitar lesson anywhere.
Kirk is mad good and righteous.... most awesome :)
For sure!
11:18 doublestops funk

Another amazing video Brett thank you for such great content and always reminding me to get back to the basics of rhythm playing. Hey just a curiosity but do you know Dave Cleveland at all?

Glad you liked it Damian. Thanks for checking it out!
If he teaches what he did starting at 01:40 I'll buy that course. My goodness. I'll be watching that at half speed over and over until I get it.
Tons of that stuff in there. Thanks for watching!
Feel good guitar!
For sure!
OMG, how do you characterize Kirk's style?? Jazz, Blues, Gospel, Swing, Boogie Woogie, Jump Blues, Rockabilly, etc...!!?? Master virtuoso!! 😳
You can't he can play anything lol!
More please!
More coming soon!
Kirk is an amazing guitar player, there’s so much soul in his playing. Loving his tone too, which amp is he using?
For sure! He is playing a Lazy J J20 in that one.
Papa, how can you not know who Bobby Womack is!? Keep those rhythm lesson coming, cheers
Haha I know. Once I listened I was like where has this been all my life!
Another fantastic lesson with Kirk! Thank you so much to both of you for this one as rhythm playing is the most mportant skill in becoming an overall good guitarist.
Agreed! Thanks for watching! Glad you liked the lesson.
Amazing player with some amazing cool chops. Hey Papa, is that a 57 Junior ?
Maybe lol! It is a new Custom shop. It's on my Sweetwater page. Fantastic guitar!!
Forgot to say , thanks Brett.
Sure thing!
Brett your lesson on. Get better fast from about a year ago is the backing track you mention available on your website as the link is for a Cory conoglio track and I’d like to get a copy also is there more on your paid site regarding that lesson cheers
I don't know that I've seen a person have more fun playing the guitar than Kirk Fletcher.
Yep he has a blast!
Kirk is insane
Yes he is!
Saludos Maestro i was lookin For u chanel \,,,/ rock n roll l
Thanks for tuning in!
Sir love you♥️ from India,,,, Sir please make lesson on Joe Satrani solo's tone as you made video on david gilmour, solo 🙏🙏🙏please
The best part was actually when Brett showed the major pent double stops around 15-16minute mark. That was the biggest and easiest thing to take out of this video. Kirk is a monster player but did a poor job of slowing his stuff down and showing what actual chords he was playing. Thanks Brett always enjoyable
Sure thing. Glad you liked it.
He was in San Antonio a while back at Sam Ash...went to the store that day, but 2 hours late.... : /
Travel is tough these days!
Dieser Mann ist wie ein musikalisches Lexikon. Er beherrscht so ziemlich jeden Style so authentisch, das alleine das zuhören einen in die Vergangenheit bringt. Großartig.
Du sprichst gut Deutsch Digga
Hey Brett, re the course offer with yourself & Kirk, is the format similar to this YT vid? Thanks.
Yeah just way more in depth and it has backing tracks and tabs etc.
An awful lot to take in here. Awesome
Thanks for checking it out!
Damn he makes it look so easy! Love it. Great job stealing the conversation
Steering, not stealing!
Haha! I knew what you meant. Thanks for watching. Glad you liked it!
Kirk is the blues compendium
For sure!
Holy freakin' ghost notes batman!
Haha
Bring on RJ
Tons coming up with RJ soon! Gonna be awesome!
The Players and WOMACK! This is the truth and the way!
6:40 reminder
"now, i ain't talkin reggie young commode-huggin' drunk, i was god's own drunk"
- jimmy buffett
Think of the best blues guitarist you know, double it, add 1 =Kirk Fletcher
Haha. Kirk is awesome!
Hey Brett can you do a lesson on Jeff becks let me love you baby please I really wanna learn it man
I'll check it out.
does kirk sing ? seems like he has a voice made for it, i've seen him with lots of players but can't ever remember him singing ...
Yes
@@BrettPapa thanks , gonna have to check that out ...
James (Loveland) Gadson
Paul Stanley of Kiss has a good video on rhythm. When you hear him you understand that the foundation of the songs are Paul -- not Ace Frehley.
19:40 song name please :)
Not sure
check out Michael Burks guitarist hes awesome aswell KIRK is awesome PLAYER
Watch the movie "The Commitments" for some research
Great movie!
ITS ALWAYS NICE TO HERE YOU GUYS REFER TO YOUR GUEST USING THERE FIRST NAME,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, NOT "HE'
Are you lads going through a marshall here?
No it's a Divided by 13 CJ11 for me and a Lazy J J20 for Kirk.
That sounds like some Hollywood fats stuff at around 1:59
How does a man with hands the size of whole cows and fingers the size of leg hams make notes in a chord sound so clear.
Haha
its kind of frustrating ,i cant even get anywhere near .. even if he breaks it down you still cant do it like him . great insight though , two cool gents
Just takes time. Just remember Kirk has been doing this for 30 years or more none stop.
im 63 brett @@BrettPapa played for 50 yrs but great advice regardless . cheers from the north of england .
I am on guitar, bass music journey throughout my life. Rhythm is like making a really good sandwich, in that you can’t make a really good sandwich without having great tasting bread. In other words rhythm is like bread that makes for a great solo / lead playing. Someone soloing as fast they can up and down on the neck of a guitar can sometimes be impressive in itself but I find it for the most part really just boring. I prefer the structure of an actual song. - Just my thoughts/ analogy. 🎸
Good one. I'm with ya I would way rather hear a great song that may happen to have a good guitar solo than 20 minutes of soloing any day of the week.
Damn too slow I missed the discount

@@BrettPapa 🙏 perfect cheers
You can’t teach rhythm.
Sure you can. Lot's of people say that but having taught, worked in lesson studios with tons of other teachers, and been taught rhythm myself at one point I tend to disagree. It takes work and some people have it naturally much better than others but the ones who don't but diligently work on it can be just as good or better in time. There are tons of people who say things can't be done and there are other who don't listen and keep truckin and often times those are the ones who actually make it in life but it takes work!
