You are spot on Claire. I never felt like you made a thing out of your gender until other people made it an issue. People get so hung up when they see a woman in charge and seem to think gender is the reason the team failed. It failed because of lots of choices, and of course some choices go your way, some don't, unfortunately for Williams F1 some of the choices made turned out to be the wrong ones, but many of those choices were made by Frank & Patrick. I'd love to see you back in F1, and I'd love to see you prove all the doubters wrong.
F1 Seems To Be More About the People and No Longer about Racing Cars!!!We Should Not Have to Listen About Who Should be Working in a Team That is up to The People in Charge,What is Important is Having a Sport that is Worth All the Money that is Put in to it and at the Moment F1 Is Not Worth Watching On TV or Bothering Going to a Race,
The Cars Need to Have Higher Sound Levels Allowed,Have a Manual Gearbox and Clutch,Loose the Hybrid System and Lots More Changes,Drivers Who are at the Top But Dont Drive a Car With a Manual Gearbox are a Joke!!!
Make Teams a Lot Cheaper to Run,You Do Not Need 14 People to fit 4 Wheels !!!Get Rid of A Lot of People Who Are Just Wasting Money Just Because They The Team Have it to Wast on Having Far too Many Staff.
I Am an Ex RAF Aircraft Tech and Mechanic and it Makes Me Mad to See Money Wasted on People Being Paid To Do Next to Nothing and Call it a Sport.
I am pretty sure none of the successful team leaders spent their time chasing “18% more women” or pushing a gender agenda. Not saying that is why Williams went downhill but you cannot focus on everything and those focussing on purely the team and winning seem to have done better.
