    You've probably heard names of Boise Idaho neighborhoods like Boise Bench, North End Boise, and Garden City, Idaho and wondered where in the heck these places were and what they are like. In this video, I've made a Boise Neighborhoods Map (link down below) that shows you those areas as well as Downtown Boise Idaho, Northwest Boise, Southwest Boise, West Boise, East Boise, Southeast Boise, and Northeast Boise. As the Boise metro population grows, and and people are considering living in Boise Idaho, it's helpful to see a map of the Boise area including a map of the Boise River, and deciding which area might be the best neighborhoods in Boise for you.
    See why Boise, Idaho is considered one of the best town in Idaho to live.

    Excellent presentation ... very well done and easy to follow. Would love to see more about the areas not mentioned: Star, Eagle, Nampa, etc.

      Carrie Kay yes, those videos are in the works. This video was meant to be specific for Boise itself. I do have a short video about Eagle, and if you watch my market report videos, I talk about the monthly housing statistics for those towns so you can keep track of home pricing in each area and know what to expect a home will cost in those areas. Thanks for the suggestions!

    Hi Summer. Your video’s are so helpful, thank you for that. I would love to learn more about investing in rental properties and where the best areas are for that.

    • @SummerAstonRealEstate
      @SummerAstonRealEstate  4 года назад +2

      The best way to do that is to email me at summerastonrealestate@gmail.com to set up a time to chat about it. It is a great idea for a video though! In general, our market is on fire everywhere and we have a housing shortage for both rentals and buying homes. So..pretty much anywhere is a great place to get a rental property as long as the numbers work for you...in general, rentals are about $100/sf here for rent. More if it's smaller and less if it's bigger, so that sweet spot is a home that is about 1400 sf, and a 3 bed, 2 bath.. Rent is a little more in Boise/Eagle, etc. and a little less in Nampa/Caldwell. But then you pay less for the house there or more for it in Eagle/Boise. Look for homes that have a chance to appreciate based on a little sweat equity, and we just had another few weeks of new construction homes jumping in prices, so until that translates into the comps for the existing homes, those existing homes are lower priced and get a good rent for a comparable new home.

    What part of Boise has a music venue or a lively bar/music scene?

    • @SummerAstonRealEstate
      @SummerAstonRealEstate  Год назад

      All of downtown Boise has both, and scattered throughout other areas of Boise as well. If you google "Boise Music Events" or "Boise Band Events" you can see lots of options, and once you get here and meet enough people, you will learn of other music venues word of mouth or through IG or FB groups. As far as bars/breweries, Boise has a ton of options, so if you google that, you will also see where they are mostly concentrated. Garden City, Boise Downtown, Boise Bench area..North Boise somewhat... plenty of options.

    I am curious to know if Boise has a water shortage? Are home gardens impossible? In addition, how well rated is the Boise healthcare?

    • @SummerAstonRealEstate
      @SummerAstonRealEstate  3 года назад +2

      No water shortage and home gardens are not only possible, they are all over! I have a .25 acre lot and a huge garden. Boise gets their water from all the water in the mountains nearby plus large aquifers underneath. We don't have any watering restrictions and water is very affordable. If you want to have a large garden, getting a house with "on irrigation" water is the least expensive. The irrigation company charges one flat fee, usually around $100 depending on district, for the whole season. You can water your yard all you want.
      As far as health care goes, it is great here in Boise. I made a video all about it so you can check that out here:

    Biggest question not answered, what parts of the city is crime and homelessness located? Every big city metro area has it.

    • @SummerAstonRealEstate
      @SummerAstonRealEstate  3 года назад +3

      In general, Boise and surrounding area"s crime is very low compared to national averages. People choose where to live here based on what they like about each area. There is no area to "avoid". But you can look online for crime maps to get the data, and make sure you look at what types of crimes are getting reported. Boise has done well to take care of the homeless. Tent cities are illegal, and there are many programs to help them. Boise has homeless people, but if you come and visit, you will see a huge difference between how the homeless are cared for here vs. other cities.

    Please do not move to Idaho if you want to change Idaho, most of us up here do not want you here. If you act like a Californian it may not work out well for you . But I will add for the most part that Idahoans are some of the nicest people you will ever meet, they will hold a door for you and say hello or howdy at any given time. Idahoans care about family their neighbors, towns and cities the great outdoors and most of all their State. In Idaho your word is your bond, your character and honor will be judged by others around you.

    Hello Summer Im looking for something affordable for me (one person ☹️)

    • @SummerAstonRealEstate
      @SummerAstonRealEstate  4 года назад

      Feel free to email me so we can keep in contact a little better than comments here. Then I can talk more easily with you about finding an affordable place here. Email:
      Summerastonrealestate@gmail.com. Best thing you can do to prepare to get an affordable house while you wait for new Costco to open is to pay off debts as much as you can, then save what you can. If you have a good credit score, you can qualify for some good Idaho first time buyer loans.

      People who were moving here just to save $ may not have loved it here. Living in Boise is all about the overall quality of life. Plus, taxes, gas, utilities, etc...are all much less than Ca. We don’t have rolling blackouts, we don’t have tent cities, and many other negative things Californians have to deal with. So, for those who are still searching for an overall better quality of life, they’re still buying homes here and loving it.
