    This is the first Idaho video I've viewed, while virtually touring the country intending to leave Maine. I did assume a Hawaiian pronunciation for Kuna. Understanding how to say it now, I will also say that you're super kute! Thanks for the great, upbeat video. I'll be watching many more as I seek out a new home and community. Be well.

    Are there any small towns left around the area?
    Also, your blog link 404s in the description.

    • @SummerAstonRealEstate
      @SummerAstonRealEstate  3 года назад +1

      Oh thank you for letting me know about that link. I will get it changed. Yes, there are smaller towns than Kuna in the area- Middleton (I have a video on that one), smaller towns like Emmett and Weiser have amenities like grocery stores, places to eat, a few dentists, doctors, etc.. feed stores.. and then some pretty small towns like: Melba, Marsing, Homedale, Wilder, Parma, Payette, New Plymouth..those are all scattered around the outskirts of the valley. They make nice places to live if you like very small town living.

    Thank you, Summer! My wife and I are learning so much from your videos. We are thinking about relocating to Boise, but want to see about renting a place first. Any reccomendations for a short term rental? I have some health issues, an I need to stay a few months this winter to see how the colder weather affects me. Thanks again!

    • @SummerAstonRealEstate
      @SummerAstonRealEstate  3 года назад +2

      Oh thank you, I am glad you find them useful. There is a very nice, new townhouse complex called "The Clara" that allows for short term rentals and has garages located in Eagle by the river. It is a good, central location to explore most areas (but it is farther from Kuna, South Meridian, and Nampa). They charge extra for short term, but I have had many satisfied clients stay there. You can also try AirBnB, often times they will allow for renting for a few months. You can look on Zillow, Hotpads.com, or apartments.com for rentals and ask if long term rentals would accept short term if you were willing to pay more. The short-term rental market is very tight, so start trying to line one up for this winter now if you can. Good luck!

    I wouldn’t be surprised if the new arrivals choose Kuna as their new place to live because they watched Summer’s video of Kuna!
    You see all that flat vacant land in Kuna?
    In a few years; Kuna will look like Eagle, and Nampa; and Meridian with sixty houses crammed into a ten; or twenty acre housing development area!

    • @SummerAstonRealEstate
      @SummerAstonRealEstate  3 года назад

      Ha Ha, thanks for watching the video! You are right, Kuna will be the new Meridian eventually..it will take a bit of time..but it will grow to be bigger than Star, Eagle, or Middleton due to the open land and easy highway access.

    Summer i soooooo wanna move my family there and have a little farm. Are there farm lots that are not too big and not too expensive? Maybe a maximum of 5 acres would be nice for me and my family.

    • @SummerAstonRealEstate
      @SummerAstonRealEstate  3 года назад +1

      I am not sure what "expensive" means to you, but as of the time of me writing this comment, the least expensive listing in Kuna on 5 acres is $675,000 for a home that needs some work. The thing that gets expensive about true farm land is having water rights. Land with water rights costs much more than "dry land", which is land that has a well that can irrigate a 1/2 acre area, but the rest of the land stays dry and natural landscape. Expect older homes that need work on irrigated farm land in order to stay under about $800,000. If they are newer homes, or larger, newer homes, the can easily be over $1million. There are smaller towns than Kuna in the area where the land/homes are slightly less expensive. (But they are much farther out).

    Kuna has "Fantastic restaurants"??? That's totally untrue, but I do like living in Kuna. :)

    • @SummerAstonRealEstate
      @SummerAstonRealEstate  3 года назад +2

      Ha ha, well I did say it has a FEW fantastic restaurants, and of course, that's pretty subjective. I do LOVE Fiesta Guadalajara for their salsa they make daily, and Enrique's is pretty good too. It's hard to clarify statements on these videos because they are meant to be an overview for people trying to compare towns in the area. Many people compare Kuna to Middleton since they are both smaller towns...so compared to Middleton, Kuna's restaurants are fantastic :). Thanks for watching!

    I think thr BEST small town is Weiser

    • @SummerAstonRealEstate
      @SummerAstonRealEstate  2 года назад

      Yes, Weiser is a true small town. Most viewers coming from out of state would consider Kuna a small town, but those of us from Idaho know that there are much smaller towns in Idaho than Kuna! I like to go to Weiser to get a passport :) Super fast, nice drive there, and so much easier than getting one in Boise.

    do you know if the 55+. community has discounts in rent.. or is it 55+ in terms of just creating a quieter community and that's pretty much

    • @SummerAstonRealEstate
      @SummerAstonRealEstate  2 года назад

      I am not sure which 55+ community you are referring to, but if you are referring to Valor, the new one in Kuna, then no, there is no discount in pricing. Valor is just a community for home purchase. There are some 55+ housing communities in other areas of the valley that have homes you can buy that are less expensive than surrounding homes, but then they also have a higher community or sometimes a land lease fee. And then in the valley, there are senior apartments for rent in various areas that do have discounted rates based on income, and they typically have long waiting lists.
