    Properly distributed throughout Australia now and finally had a chance to see them in person and test ride the GP125. Such a beautiful piece of kit and SO much fun! I LOVE it. Floor boards/seat/handlebar ratio right in the sweet spot 👌Performance, handling and braking were well above what I was expecting. I've used my previous Vespa's PX, LX, Primavera, GTS all as benchmarks for ride quality and these bikes are seriously difficult to split on these aspects. In fact, as a Vespa aficionado, I'll go as far to say I prefer the way these bikes ride. Their long wheelbase is very stable, brakes are brilliant! Sharp as a tack. Transitions side to side, effortless. Steer straight as an arrow. A sorted, well designed chassis/suspension package. Plenty or torque and once run in, I suspect they'll be good performers. Styling (in my eyes) is a 9.5/10. Right up there in the "desirable bikes" category... I always felt a little effeminate riding my Vespas 🥰😆but not so on a "Lammy" tough boy scoot. I think I'll buy one very soon. Love the red/white combo, the sky blue looks awesome and the ivory colour looks a treat. Priced fairly and should have potential Vespa customers sliding into RA dealer showrooms out of curiosity... Everyone else should just go buy one! They make you happy tearing around. Well done R/A 👏

      It's a shame we only get the option of a GT 125

    • @nikitis13
      @nikitis13 Год назад

      @@kadiocalc I'm assuming you mean the PVC panels on the GT 125 over the steel panelled overseas version GP125? PVC is cheaper to replace over steel. You can always change the colour configuration easily if you feel like swapping them out. Knocks, scratches and dings not huge problem either. 🙂If you meant the 125 engines (GY6), they were originally engineered and manufactured by Honda and now made in Taiwan. Good solid units that can reliably rack up a lot of miles for many years... I believe they are also sleeved down from 180cc so a bigger bore kit should be a fairly straight forward modification. Simplicity of remaining air-cooled lower maintenance, no plumbing! hoses/clamps, coolant, radiators, thermo fans, more sensors and electronics, thermostats, etc etc and still mange to easily produce approx 15 hp. Not bad at all.

    When are you hoping to receive your orders of new Euro5 GP 125 S LC models into the UK please? I have emailed you via the website but just got a standard email back saying speak to your nearest RA dealer. My dealer doesn't know anything! I appreciate the global issue of difficulty in moving goods around, so I understand there may be a wait, but can you at least give some idea of when you are 'hoping' to receive stock into the UK? Thank you.

    Liking the GP 125cc. I have a lexmoto Milano 125cc, which I have had for 4 years. To be honest they might look the business, but are poor quality. I have had several issues with the Milano that seem to be happening more frequently. So i think the Milano has to go and a new royalloy GP will be the next purchase. I have seen many reviews and nobody seems to have many negative views on them. At the moment anything will be better than my Milano.

    • @MotoGBofficial
      @MotoGBofficial  2 года назад

      Like chalk and cheese Jason, the Milano serves a purpose but the Royal Alloy is a much more premium machine which is one of the reasons RA is starting to rival Vespa

      Clean the scooter regularly, dry it off if you've ridden in wet conditions and use a rust inhibitor if you ride in all year round.

    My only criticism of this somewhat useful video is the 'ska' style background music that 'nicely' alienates the product, in marketing terms, to ageing (very) mods and pseudo varieties thereof.

    Press metal plate sale it on eBay around 70 pounds for side panels on eBay worth I think....for 1 metal sheet you can get around 6-8 side panels I'm I not mistake...cost around 60 ponds for 1 metal sheet...used the same metal sheet that they made cars fenders....cause maybe double I think..but the thicknesses pretty much same vespa plate....
    -: whatever as long not my money and I don't have scooter too...

    Royal Alloy stepped in???? Not true at all. Scomadi stepped in actually. Scomadi designed and produced the first batch of 50cc and 125cc available in the UK from mid 2015. Way before Royal Alloy was even heard of. Scomadi 'was' made in China by Hanway, and when the bosses fell out they shipped production to Thailand. So it was Scomadi that started this off. Hanway had all the tools to produce this scooter and rather underhandly went about producing them under the Royal Alloy name. A court case ensued about it all and this has now all been resolved. No doubt a lot of brown envelopes (or red ones from China) changed hands.

      The Classic Lambretta's haven't gone, there just either sitting in someones shed broken down and needing restoration or become garage queens owned by people with more money than sense who never ride them and pay someone else to work on them

  • @scooterkev6978

    Ok i couldnt swear the 3j4 is in both scoots ,but i do know insetto is 115 kg dry not your lightest 130 kg royal. So i think false advertising saying 65mph when your talking about real speed acheivable. Not negative vibes just corecting false claims.

    • @MotoGBofficial
      @MotoGBofficial  2 года назад

      No false claims, Bobby was simply quoting what he saw on the speedo but as most of us know all bike/scooter speedos do over read slightly.

      No scooters have gears now. It's called evolution. Auto is easy to produce and makes it more appealing to a larger audience. I think they look pretty good.
      Performance?. It's a 125 what are you expecting?. If you want performance buy a motorcycle. Classic lambretta's are no doubt the king of cool but not many have the knowledge to own and run one.
      This makes modern retro scooters good for the non mechanical minded.
