      @@TonysGarage_UK I've just ordered the TG300S Euro 5, pick it up next week. My first foray away from my original Lambretta (Jet 200) and Vespa P150X (Mk1). Love my old scoots but now in my 50's and want a bit of comfort on the journeys plus I reckon I will ride a lot more with one of these, that's the plan anyway. Thanks for the video and what is involved in TASSO upgrade ?...cheers

      Hi, you'll love it and as you say, will hopefully get out more on it. I've done a full series explaining exactly what's involved with the Tasso kit including fitting it. just have a look in the playlists, sit back, stick the kettle on and enjoy LOL

    How times have changed. In the old days we had the foxtail on the back, now a camera. Enjoyed the content and review. We can get the new "lambretta" down here in Tasmania but not the RA. 😞

    Great review. Riding position on the Lammie, '70s stylee, was perched on the front edge of the seat, knees splayed out as far as possible and leaning back with arms straight. Would look ridiculous now.

    I haven't owned a single motorbike where the wing mirrors were any good until you fitted extenders....thats including a BMW R1250GSA!!

    • @TonysGarage_UK
      @TonysGarage_UK  Год назад

      Yep, I usually end up changing the mirrors, too. The extenders were just a temporary trial, but I've ended up leaving them on lol

    I've a GP 125 and find the suspension is great: maybe they use the same fittings for the 300 and it doesn't feel so good with the extra power? The seat height is perfect for me, but then I'm 6ft 1"!

    • @TonysGarage_UK
      @TonysGarage_UK  10 месяцев назад +2

      You might be right. Don't think there's a massive weight difference either. They just feel a bit dud and lifeless to me.

    I don't quite understand the logic of installing mirror extenders and then rotating the mirror heads inward to cancel out the benefit of the mirror extenders?

    • @TonysGarage_UK

      Purely aesthetic lol. don't think too much into it...

  • @Zantalo

    What's wrong with the suspension? Is it really bumpy and does it bottom out over little bumps and stuff?

    • @TonysGarage_UK
      @TonysGarage_UK  Год назад +1

      One rider and it's OK apart from hitting pot holes, which most would suffer too. But with a pillion, it's awful. Bottoms out and bounces.

      Good question. The Purist snobbery ruined ownership for me at first, but its such a good scooter you soon get over that and as the numbers on the road and at the rallies increase it's becoming more acceptable. For me its the ideal scooter. I can tour in comfort and carry a pillion no problem, safely and at motorway speeds, and it still looks the part! So yep, well worth buying. Thanks
