Thanks Mark - you're right, it was not cheap, but it was a challenge to see what is possible. It's a pity RA didn't stick with the Lambretta S2 mudguard it has a lot more style. I suppose they used slimstyle legshields to keep the costs down.
Looks very nice. Classic scooter with modern engine. It would be a interesting project to fit a royalloy engine into a proper lambretta frame and body. Maybe a SX 200, or a TV 200 GT 🤔
Hello Jason, I fully agree! That was the original Idea with Frank Sanderson's Scomadis, but the RA production resulted in some design and styling changes. From experience it is much easier to fit Lambretta bodywork on to a Royal Alloy than it is to fit a Royal Alloy engine into a Lambretta.
Hi Jason if anyone did as you suggested ie: put a RA motor in a sx22 or GT200 they would instantly lose between £8,000 and £10,000 at least of the value of their classic scooter poss with a lot of work on an old bad condition li150 but even then it might lose money
Superb piece of work. I love the dedication you have out into it. I was wondering if the rear footboards alone will marry up nicely enough with the legshield of a royal alloy. This is something that I'd like to do and I'm curious of your opinion on it. Ta.
Good question, but I don't think it would work. You would not be able to just fit the Series 2 footboards because they have a larger radius on the top edge. The profile wouldn't match the TG. You could possibly use Series 3 footboards, bit you would hardly gain any extra width.
What a beautiful conversion!!!
The best of both worlds. More original classic styling with more reliable motor.
Credit to you. But not cheap I imagine.

Subtle but beautifully done - you make it look easy 😉!
Thanks Will - It was quite a challenge!
Very nicely done conversion
Cheers Paddy
Fabulous ✅... Great job done to perfection.
Thanks, I'm still fine-tuning it to improve the appearance.
Brilliant work you do Mate. Cheers!

By those skirting boards, need a wash Fletch. Love Lorraine 😂😂❤
Don't you start 🤣
What a beautiful piece you got there! just wondering where do you got those series 2 body parts for the conversion if you dont mind me asking?
Thanks. I bought all the body panels on ebay for £420 - I just waited for the best price items to be listed.
As a biker this looks good but please now leave as is and don't succumb to ebay comedy mod tat.
As a biker myself I fully agree! I only have the screen as I'm 6'4" 😂
I like Mod Tat ✌🏻😎👊🏻.
