In defense of the Mitzu helm and since you mentioned that you don’t do ranged: it is *excellent* for light bowgun! The core of any LBG set is normally paolmu chest, coral waist, and azure greaves (for the essential reload/recoil +3)…which only leaves the helm and gloves free to change around. Water sets were suboptimal because there was no helm that gave water attack anything…until now with the Mitzu helm!😉 …but yeah other than that…I agree, just…make the weapons!😅 (I’m going for SnS and LBG personally!😉)
yeah, I struggled for maxing recoil reduction and reload speed up while maximizing the water attack damage as much as possible, with this I can swap the helmet and switch jyura vambrace for legiana vambrace. Its a lot easier to reload and spam dps now without sacrificing power. Personally, I'm already good at this event.
With legiana gloves you get reload +2. Then with the paolumu chest mizu healm jagras legs and coral waist you get +4. You’d have to driftsmelt the chest or waist to get +5 water.
You don’t know how long I’ve been praying for a water 2 helm for that coral lbg. Kind of disappointed at the charge blade though, could not believe my eyes that it was impact.
Mizu helm is required for LBG! Previously we could have a max water attack of +2 from Jyratodus gloves (along with reload/recoil 3 gear). Mizu helm with help a ton!
Great video. Are you sure the Bubbly Dance + Resuscitate (BDR) combo isn't worth it? The combo takes 6 skill slots for a 20% bonus. How does that compare with Burst that uses 5 slots for 30%? Yes, 30 > 20, but it seems like the BDR combo would have better uptime and also have the benefit of making well timed evades more common. The Artillery comparison isn't as easy because not all weapons gain the benefit and one of the artillery pieces has guard which doesn't align with everyone's play style. The BD chest also has an extra driftstone slot, which relies heavily on RNG, but will eventually have some value with enough smelts.
From testing, bubbly dance basically gives evade extender lvl1 and artful dodger lvl2. Not good less paired with resuscitate. Now due to having plenty of open slots you could try driftsmelting lvl4 burst onto the armor. Would make it worth, but only RNG jesus can be your savior there with that much investment to make it viable.
For bow gun the most reliable is Nifl Mist. The "Very slow" charge type of the Laguna Blitz's sticky water ammo leaves you vulnerable for too long. While mist feels smooth and fast. The only downside in my opinion is it doesn't have the spamming ability of the "Piercing Ammo". Also, Mist doesn't compete for the same level 6 Wyvern Gem Shard as all other main weapons.
If you are joining paid ticket event, better build the armor. GS with aggressive dodger + bubbly dance + zino GS artful dodger + resuscitate is pretty OP.
I got the helmet on my dualblade build to get rathian braces with +3 in burst(luck at driftsmelting), rath mail for wex 2, jagras legs with water +3 and rath-heart for crit eye +2. Got 30% overall Crit and 55% Weakspot Crit wit max Element and 15% boost from burst
The helm was an absolute necessity for LBG, and eventually HBG. For me since i play ranged weapons so i don't have to worry about potions as much, i had already buffed up the jagras legs to have 3+ water. So instead of going azure rath legs for +2 reload speed. I went with mizu helm +2 water, pal chest, +2 recoil, legi arms, +2 reload, and c.puki waist for that +1 recoil and reload. Just like fire weapons i can hit for max fire with reload and recoil, but the same is now said for water. This also applies to bow. Overall mizu lbg is more comfy in comparison to c.puki but c.puki bow still out paces mizu given most water weak monsters are either long (affected by pierce) or can be rapid shot killed due to small crit point. (Charge 1 rapid lvl 3) provided by c.puki bow Now if you could charge hold by doging like in rise then any spread bow would be more viable even if it had less element. But thats not the case, so bow needs weapon types that give high attack levels at lower charge frames.

I’m currently doing a BUBBLE dance build..chest,sleeve(glove),Pants. So far it’s a fun build with the new skill that boost 20% damage at grade 6 for all armor parts 💪🏼🙌🏼…🤔I recall someone not fond of the “Hunter unity” 🤔9% buff and then became surprise later 😬…maybe experiment and see how/if bubble dance +20% surprise anyone 😑
I actually crafted the bubbly dance just for mizutsune it helps a lot. Easier to dodge and to catch up when mizutsune twirls and fly away. Plus the aesthetic on the layered armor 🤣
I'm wondering if bubble dance will provide hidden buffs, like it did in Rise (stamina use reduction, movement speed). It was a game changer for a bow main like me. Especially combined with burst
I felt they didn't do justice for one of their flagship monster. Feels very lackluster. I farm for the water +2 only just to have +4 on the lbg, other then that, probably won't ever used. Everything is meh imo. That's probably all I'm gonna farm for.
I mean the weapons are great and have cool designs. The armor set is just too gimmicky for now. Maybe later on when we get more options, resuscitate might become a meta skill :)
hammer and greatsword use crits and perfect dodges a lot so it's not correct to say pukei is better. Every build prioritises crit after elemental and perfect dodging is especially integral to greatsword
I mean they dont attack as much as light weapons so thier opportunity to crit is also lesser than fast attacking weapons. If you still have space after adding some focus then you can add some crit haha
@@PauwerPlays GS playstyle in MHN is more reliable on perfect evade. So you can skip focus and just boost dmg and aggressive dodger. Also latent power helps crit for GS too
Thats the main problem, bubbly dance maybe can be a good for some kind of ultra instint built, artfull dodger + Lv2 bubbly dance maybe can make a superior version of only Lv5 artfull dodger, and think it about it, if you get two artfull dodger from Azure Drifstone for the Mail mitzutsune Mail Lv8 and Lv8 wepon you will have +3 Artfull dodger and Lv2 Bubbly dance. Maybe can give you some kind of super dodge built, but in the end i don't know.
The mizu lance and the coral lance are both good options. You will just have a harder time making an affinity element build for the lance cos you have to balance it with guard skills as well.

Oh what i meant by the is heavy weapon hit big but attack slow. They hit the monster lesser times so only few hits will crit. When dual blades attack, you unleash multiple strikes. More chances one of those strikes will crit
@@Zodryn On average yes, but with how short hunts are in this game, you are likely to have your runs affected by lack of crits with a slow weapon. Fast weapons are unlikely to notice a difference because the number of hits will average out the number of crit quickly.
I also disagree with this remakr about affinity. The argument that affinity is less relevant for heavy weapons is invalid. It's true that hunt times could be less consistent, but it is not worse. One could even argue it is -more- relevant to heavy weapons, as multiple big crits could allow you to clear a hunt you normally wouldn't. Another point -- a free 20% affinity allows you to reach 85+ affinity pretty easily :/

Your average damage for the hunt will not increase by 4% (if you had 20% affinity), but likely more like 2%, just because you will not be attacking enough for it to average out, well unless you get enough big hits in. Probably at least 10 of your biggest attacks, could make the average work well. If a hunt is shorter than that you will by chance be shortchanged on crits to your damage. With smaller weapons attacks damage doesn't vary as much and you get more attacks in.
I already crafted those armor, and they are strong, I can easily (without using ultimate attcak) kill deviljho 8 stars with 9 grade zino chargeblade and kill 8 stars zino with 8 grade legiana CB Usually, I need to use my ultimate attact to have a chance to kill those monsters (and some times still failed) (I use kutku helm and banbaro waist BTW)
😭 I should have watched this before forging the gunlance as well as the head and legs of the armour. I was after a stronger water weapon that I can guard with as my CP - LBG isn't good enough to kill Anja..( not at g8 yet).. for Mitzi, I'm using my thunder gear with LBG/LS still. I do get hit with the odd bubble, but manage to move well without to much difficulty.. 🤔
Did you guys notice the silly glitch Monday morning if you bought a Dark Daydreams Hunt-a-Thon ticket? I hadn't reset my app and I was able to do 4 more unlimited HaTs before the app became unusable.
@@PauwerPlays I did a HaT Monday morning between 7-8am (I work nights) and noticed there was no 3hr countdown. I went to the news to confirm the end time. I did another and no countdown. I knew it was a glitch when the HaT bubble would appear but the gathering point below would not. I'd have to poke at where I thought the node was until I got it, or zoom out and click the bubble. I mentioned to the wife that this was a glitch and I can't reset the app or use any other functions on the phone because that would cause a reset. Sadly, trying an Elder Dragon Interception around noon and I just couldn't click on it no matter what, so I reset the game. Still got to do the EDI, but then the countdown appeared. Just something to keep in mind for next paid event.
You can get the rng out of driftstones by using pale driftgem, giving you up to 66% usefull skill (so far i have enough for 2) add coral puki helm and black diablos hammer for some bonking damage
With how many mitsu are spawning I'm thinking avoiding HaTs during the dark daydreams event might be optimal for grinding its parts, given the 30 respawns. Unless we see a 5 mitsu HaT 🤞
Wouldn't it be nice to get more specials in with dodging while using dual blades or sword and shield? :D Sword and shield basically either need to guard or do perfect evade to do the most damage and dual blades also got that benefit of attacking while evading :D I think it would be cool but you gotta be hunting mizutsune like mad to get get it all on good lvl :D
Its cool to get more special gauge when dodging but you are losing out on damage if you equip the waist haha. For example, you can equip the pink rath waist for more consistent damage :)

Resus being only lv. 3 max currently this build set is very useless CB main skipping the weapon but Probably in the future we can have Resus 5 Ele 5 can be good for group hunts for us CB users, problem is rolling elements on DS is too much of a pain

@@PauwerPlays I think resuscitate will help a lot once Teostra and Lunastra make their debut on MHN, that field heat will slowly eat away your HP, that would probably boost your damage especially if you max that skill
I just looked at all water charge blades in world and rise, and jyuratodus is the best water monster that has element phials. Best bet is that they add one with an event like the helmet we got.

Burst is only for raw so Res with 20% is already much better cuz it affects ele and raw

You need maxed out blessing from RNGsus to get a viable resuscitate build for now 😂

In all previous games, Mizu CB has always been impact phial, and Gunlance has always been Long, it's just the expected Mizu weapons

Solid weapon but difficult to take advantage of the affinity. It will be hard to balance affinity skills with guard skills

i knew it!! LBG for mizu is better than Coral pukei..
right now got Mizu helm and its LBG.. after G6 for Mizu helm then i go for G10 for Mizu LBG..

Resus being only lv. 3 max currently this build set is very useless
CB main skipping the weapon but
Probably in the future we can have Resus 5 Ele 5 can be good for group hunts for us CB users, problem is rolling elements on DS is too much of a pain
@@ascalone9806 you also need bubbly dance 3 if youre gonna use resus 5. It's gonna be difficult to work around those 2 skills haha

Yeah, I’m getting sick of Niantic pushing armor with meh skills, locking them to HaTs after a while, and requiring new T6 material instead of WGS 🙄
Monsters with specific r6 material require less materials to upgrade so it aint all bad haha
@@PauwerPlays Nah, I've finished 3 grade 10-4 weapons and have been stocking up on WGS. New T6 materials just gatekeeps progression and adds on inventory space.
They don't want charge blade users to have a powerful water element.. 😢
It'd be too powerful
so the main use of the armors for now are for countering mizu and for fashion😅

@@PauwerPlays I think resuscitate will help a lot once Teostra and Lunastra make their debut on MHN, that field heat will slowly eat away your HP, that would probably boost your damage especially if you max that skill

It had impact phials back in mhrise so i dont think they would change that 😂

I just looked at all water charge blades in world and rise, and jyuratodus is the best water monster that has element phials. Best bet is that they add one with an event like the helmet we got.
