- I´m drawing Slan from the dark fantasy Manga Berserk. I fimed also the sketch this time. And as you can see, I wasn´t happy with the first try. So I started a second one and it was ok for me (I´m still not superhappy somehow... It deffinitely could be better). I think, it´s because personally I have a huge respect to draw Slan. She simply must be perfect, when I draw her... and perfection is really hard to reach xD
This picture took me 7 hours.

How did you get so good at crosshatching? And how do i steal those powers for myself?
My stuff just comes out as if a child went ham with a sharpie. Including smudges.

I've uploaded such a long video (~ 6 month ago). It's called "Drawing a pinup girl...". The big problem with such long videos is that my PC is nearly dieing when it comes to the rendering part xD.
But I'll keep that in mind and maybe do a further long one (ah, and I did another long video called "Drawing a reaper...", ~1 year ago)
What kind of set up do you use for blocking in black ink? Obviously brush and ink, but is it a certain type of brush/ink? When I use inks with my brushes, they always get really stiff and don't work well.
It's not a special ink or brush. I also have to clean the brush with some warm water. Otherwise it would get stiff too. And the brand of the ink I use is called Faber-Castell
