    Yes, I reissue this comment for the criticisms and complaints.
    made these videos to better explain this topic

    ruclips.net/video/7RQgtqlyYyA/видео.html
    Comics Artists vs Mangakas - THE REVENGE
    ruclips.net/video/7gEhtLTBYBo/видео.html
    This video is meant to be entertaining, not to be taken seriously, and made for FUN.
    This is an art versus related only to drawing, many told me that I did not do justice to the work of many artists and there were other complaints about Togashi, I already explained everything in my video of comic artists vs mangakas explanation and comic artists vs mangakas revenge, if you do not want to see that or read the description of this video, then I will not write a wall of text, I have every right and my reasons to respond to the fanboys in my own video, do not tell me what I have to do on my own channel.
    Yes, Togashi has bad drawings, stop victimizing, I only mean the explicit content of the drawings, let's give the medal to the best runner to someone without legs, the intention and the merit are not related to the result, He can be very dedicated in other aspects, I ONLY MEAN THE DRAWING, he is a good writer but his drawings are full of inconsistencies, the fanboys only saw the anime and did not read the manga or analyze the drawings, do not give me the example of ONE who makes psychedelic art and izayama who was someone who was starting, Togashi has been in this business for dozens years old and liefeld, who is more criticized, draws better.

    • @youraverageguy4930
      @youraverageguy4930 4 года назад +80

      If you're gonna persist on being "empirical", then how about you start comparing fairly.
      You brought up how Rob Liefeld and Togashi are bad at anatomy when the first does it due to lack of experience while the latter does it due to stylization. Hell, if you wanna bring up his health problems, why don't you start using examples from when he's at his peak? Yu Yu Hakusho is one of his early works, and the character you showed wasn't even supposed to be anatomically correct or natural. Rob Liefeld's Captain America is supposed to be a fucking human, of course people are put off by it.

    • @NUEBOHEMIO
      @NUEBOHEMIO  4 года назад +15

      @@youraverageguy4930 I did not say that togashi did anatomy badly, I put that he is considered one of the worst mangakas because of the doodles and his little dedication (as I said before, he can have a drawing assistant or finish the manga)
      If we are going to use that logic, then let's say that what Rob Liefeld does is also an artistic style, I can also play the same game.
      the manga generally does not have a realistic style, in this same video I put a drawing of the toguro team that does not have a mile of comparison with the quality of the liefeld designs.
      the comic has a standard and liefeld brings his own touch, in my opinion the idea of captain america of liefeld is that he does not look human, he is a super human after all.
      But of course we are all going to defend Togashi because we have no criteria.

    • @youraverageguy4930
      @youraverageguy4930 4 года назад +67

      @@NUEBOHEMIO Most of Togashi's character designs and overall style range from cartoonish to semi-realistic. His art during his peak is nowhere near "doodles", just take a look at his recent chapters and volume covers.
      Compare that to Rob Liefeld whose designs are extremely repetitive and aims towards realism. His inability to express form in his drawings clash horribly with his inkers and colourists. He aims for a realistic style yet he fails to apply one of the basic fundamentals of drawing.
      Also, Captain America is supposed to LOOK human. Your super human argument doesn't work because he's supposed to be a buff dude with super human strength, compared to a character that *literally* changes his physical appearance.

    • @NUEBOHEMIO
      @NUEBOHEMIO  4 года назад +11

      @@youraverageguy4930 everyone will have their own way of seeing a character and their own version, nobody complains when Frank Miller makes a square batman.
      You do not have to defend the indefensible, Togashi put scribbles in the manga, just read the end of the chimera ant arc, on the other hand Rob Liefeld has very good drawings that I did not put in the video.
      Togashi's designs look better in anime, one example is Yu Yu Hakusho's anime, which improved on several of the manga's designs and the characters look more anatomically correct.
      I inform myself of the work of both, if you do not believe me, investigate rob liefeld's drawings to see that he has more details and does everything in a more dedicated way, I do not blame togashi, he is good at writing stories, but leaves much to be desired in the drawing.

    • @youraverageguy4930
      @youraverageguy4930 4 года назад +58

      @@NUEBOHEMIO No one complained about Frank Miller's Batman because it's an artistic choice. He was aiming for a semi-realistic art but he still knew how to apply basic fundamentals of drawing. His later works however, is another story.
      "I inform myself of the work of both"?
      "investigate Rob Liefeld's drawings to see that he has more details and does everything in a more dedicated way"?
      You are literally cherry-picking Togashi's works from the time when he was just starting out as a manga artist and the period when his health started to fuck him up while comparing them to Liefeld's works during his supposed prime. Have you seen Hunter x Hunter's re-released volumes of the Chimera Ant arc and the following arcs? have you seen his Volume covers?

    I'm Japanese. I think manga considers movements to be most important, and comic considers paintings to be.
    So average comic picture looks less lively but more sophisticated as one artwork. Ofcourse there are many exceptions, but there's a certain tendency.
    I like both.

    • @phantasosxgames8488
      @phantasosxgames8488 3 года назад +144

      you pretty much nailed.
      Superheroes do not particularly have some array of named attacks , repeated over and over , showcasing every motion of it.
      Let's put "My Hero Academia" as an example , with Endervoir vs Human Torch: Endervoir have "Jetburn" , "Proeminence Burn" and that Fire Web attack and Fire Javelin...all of those are clear-cut attacks that you know what they do and their motion.
      Meanwhile , Human Torch just flies and makes fire blast , improvising on the spot , his only realy signature move is "Supernova" which is an AoE Explosion , which the closest motion to it would be "Proeminence Burn".
      But like you said , there are exceptions , there is not much naming and a lot of improvisation on the characters in how they fight , but Batman and Spider-Man puts movements in a more front seat , specially Spider-Man.

    • @TheHermesLP
      @TheHermesLP 3 года назад +87

      It's preatty visible on "Spider-Man by Bagley" vs "Spider-Man by Murata". Murata's Spider-Man looks like he could start moving at any second and his webs look like they are still mid-extending outside the screen, while Bagley's looks like a photo with perfect lightning and composition, Like Spider-Man posed mid action for the selfie.
      There are exceptions, of course, but in general comics and manga look like that.

      Also dirtiness spots aren't drawn in comic, making a illustration as clean as they can. There's no uneveness as in manga- even smoke is clean making motioned action scenes feel a bit dimmed compared with manga.
      Ah, also the diference between black and white zones are sharply distincted, there's vaguely a intermediate zone between them. That narrows a little the expresiveness of some escenes.

And we have these new upcoming comic artist with unique styles that are kind of wasted on marvel and dc. And the concept of heroes and villains is too cut and dry to be relatable and kind of boring.

Everytime they make superman relatable he becomes more uninteresting example n52 they made his powers weaker and became more cool and it absolutely bombed...... the way to make superman is he has to be noble, a boy scout and inspire. I think that people need to understand the vast difference between the Manga industry, the traditional comics industry in the US, and the European comics industry. In Japan, manga books are so mainstream that people left them on the subway's seats!
    Also, the characters are totally not owned by their creators, legally talking, the creators are bound to the magazines and publication houses they signed with. Example : when Shaman King was cancelled from Jump because the ratings got too low according to Jump magazine, which is a huge corporation in Japan, Hiroyuki Taikei could NOT self-publish or even seek another publisher...! He lost the possibility of ending is epic 32 books series, up until another publication house decided to buy the rights from Jump.

    The Manga industry is a lot more like the Pop music or Hollywood industry in the West. It's hugely mainstream, competitive, the creators are rock stars, but there a whole team behind the most popular series, much more than for comics. The size and nature of the industry is entirely different. Mangas are consumed like fast-food. In the West the comics is now mostly a collectors' market; and in Europe, it turned into a collectors' market a long time ago with the large-format hardcover books.
    I'm not sure people get the scope of work needed to be a successful published mangaka in Japan. 60-80 hours weeks non-stop and your entire life's work, even if it's cult, can get cancelled over some rating. Think 3x the amount of work needed for a successful webcomic. It simply is not the comic paradise we want to believe it is here in the West. There is a cost to selling so many copies of anything.

    The most common thing in the most of the mangaka and comic Book artist is that they have a really amazing experience in drawing realism and that's a advantage that they can Easily stylize their Artstyle.

    Honestly something interesting that this video unintentionally highlights is how the American comics industry evolved in such a way that it’s mainly ruled by the institutions set up from the original major IPs which are constantly reinterpreted and reiterated upon. So being a comic artist in America most likely means your best known work is for one of those well known and recognized IPs. Meanwhile in Japan each comic artists is usually a mangaka and is pretty much their own thing with their own series that have just as much, if not more, of a chance to make an impact as the oldest and most established IPs (which, if still around, are usually more so long running series divided into multiple sections rather than constantly reinventing/recycling themselves like in the USA). This is pretty interesting to just see and kinda makes sense when you consider each country’s general economic and cultural tendencies

      Most of the western artists in this video have worked on creator owned stuff as well. But video didn't incude them because everybody knows Batman and spider-man, not everybody knows The Maxx or Ninjak.
