I really like skin scents. Working in an office, This type of fragrance gives me the chance to enjoy my passion without bothering people around me. For me, perfume is more a personal pleasure.
I love skin scents. I also think people don‘t realise how difficult it can be to create a good skin scent, especially a good skin scent that also lasts long. It also exudes class to wear a fragrance that doesn‘t announce‘ your presence in a room, but for your scent to be discovered when up close to your person. Thanks for this review. I hope to sample some out now!
There goes that class argument. If something is not for you say it is not for you, don’t try to ridicule or look down on other people for not having the same taste as you. There’s class in that too. Go figure!
I love this concept and was just defending skin scents last week. When I’m in very close quarters (like an airplane) I like to go this route. One of my favorites is Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt. Hard to go wrong with it
Skin scents smell the most sensual to me. Only those you allow in your proverbial bubble will smell you. I get the best longevity with my skin scents. I buy fragrance for my own personal pleasure, and my husband's. If strangers can't smell my fragrance, it makes no difference to me. Although, it's always nice to get compliments on your fragrance choice. Affirmation is something we as humans all enjoy. Such good picks for this video. ❤
Great idea for a video. I happen to own 7 of them , walk the sea / pacific rock moss / original musk / vanilla vibes / beach walk & over the musk 👌 The only one on me that's a real skin scent is muglers over the musk. It's a skin scent from the start but lasts all day long. The rest start off big on me but eventually become skin scents on me. They all last on me until I wash them off. So longevity is fantastic for me 👌 Great to learn about some others. 🙏
I wear perfumes for me, not others so I don’t need big projection but I need to be able to smell it all day. My favourite thing is to smell a top I wore the day before and still be able to smell yesterdays perfume on it. It’s like a reassurance that I smelt amazing all day/night.
Molecule 04 is a beast. I Once loved it, but then it began to smell like a boy's locker room or a "slept all night scent in a teen's room in the morning", so I had to return it. I actually LOST money to return it, but I couldn't leave it in my closet, as my entire closet smelled of it. I still wear Molecule 01.
Also, I just wanted to say my JHAG Superdose does work lol. I received multiple bottles that day, so I had too many strong fragrances swatched on my arm to smell the Superdose. It's great, and I'm happy I purchased.
This is a new concept for me, but nice to now have it as part of my vocabularly when talking about fragrance. I did try Replica's "Whispers in the Library" a couple of days ago and wonder if it falls into this category ... that fragrance was very subdued to my nose and hardly noticeable after dry-down.
In korea, skin scent means scents that smells like mens toilet water. Because we call mens toillet water as skin not toner. So in korea skin scent refers to stuff like dior savage or montblanc legend. But you guys are saying that those are shower gel scents. Right? 😄 But I've never met a shower gel that smells like dior sauvage. Btw some People in korea who don't care about fragrance say that every fresh scents smells like mens skin. 😄 I'm sorry if it was tmi.. Great video!
Molecule 01 pops off my skin like crazy - always see people in front of me turn around with that where is that smell coming from look? Can also pick it up all day long-none of the disappearing act that many report. All of the others that I have tried from the list are skins scents on me.
Loved this video! At the moment I'm wearing "Genua" from Paglieri 1867 as my go to skin scent (in summer and spirng) it's perfect at work because it let's you daydream but you won't offend anyone.
My sister wears molecule 001 and i do smell the perfume through out the day a lot. I wouldnt think that was a skin scent, i thoght skin scents were more of not notincing them at all, or barely. Thanks for the video ❤
I like skin scents because as you say there are just times you do not want a cologne that projects a lot...like when you have a headache or feeling sick. Other times you want to wear something to bed that will prevent you from going to sleep. I bought Lilaque White due to your recommendation but I never knew i was a skin scent until I wore it.
I like a variety of scents, but I rarely like perfumes to be very loud, so I adjust the application. The only one I have on your list is Molecule 01. I bought it in the airport, and I don’t like it very much on me. It feels a bit soulless when I wear it. I think, on me Penhaligon's The Ruthless Countess Dorothea is a skin scent. It might be my least projecting perfume.
personally i have nothing against skin scents, my preferences are just different. Wish other people would not smell me though :D most don't find my taste that appealing :P
I got the harmonist discovery set and think they are fantastic lighter scents ! Oil fiction by juliet has a gun is a good one for ladies. Very nice video, love this topic !

Eh, I don't care for skin scents. I understand why people might like or need them., but for me the whole concept is DOA. The exception I would make is for attars low on projection but high on sillage. They work well on the move, but sitting still they're minimal.

I am a lover of skin scents so this was a great and enabling video. Have you tried All That Matters? Luckyscent carries it. It's another great one (imho). I never hear anyone talk about that one.
I have molecule 01 and Over the Musk. I prefer a scent cloud especially if the scent is pricey ie. Over the Musk is super expensive but does not last and sits super close. I more than likely won’t repurchase.
I like your channel , and follow you for years.I also like Kerosene , Unknown Pleasures was my wedding day scent , but Walk the sea with all due respect i strongly dislike. It's both indolic , salty and animalic on my skin.
I wear fragrance mostly for my own pleasure. My favorite these days is Gucci Memoire. Hated it on paper, love it on my skin! I wear some “compliment getters” or I’m at least trying for some... I don’t really get them 😆😆😆
The Gucci new one is same bottle shape of old Eau de Gucci(but different color). I have memory with the old one and wonder if new one smells similar to old one???? if yes, i want to buy it....
I want to like skin scents but I prefer more presence fragrances. I like Mugler cologne and Homebrew 01 (iso e super) but I don’t wear them much. 4711 is my out of the shower refresher but it’s faint by the time I’m dressed. Skin scents are never the star of the show for me, but I would probably do well to give some of these a shot.

Hi, I have also molecule 1 and 2 and julliette not a perfume and I love them, but my most favorite skin scent is Riddle Oil orginal and sphinx. Please try them. For me it’s difficult to buy them because I live in Holland. I am sure you would love it! 😃

It’s funny I love beachwalk but so many people hate it! I think it’s because people read beach and coconut and think of something more like Bobby brown Beach! It’s salty skin with a hint of sweet and lots of powder.. my fave. Great for office wear in the summer since it doesn’t project, but I smell it on myself all day. ❤️
Great reviews. It’s slightly frustrating you did this video backwards. Someone watching a top 20 skin scent video, for them you should have gone from least projection to most.

Another 13 is a brilliant scent and my favorite easy reach. I prefer beast mode scents, but Another 13 is the perfect quiet scent
My ideal skin scent is Abdul Kareem Egyptian Musk Oil. It's my second favorite companion for bed.

The New Rose by Montale is a skin scent to me unlike most Montale fragrances it's not too loud and well to me it's a comfort fragrance.

Is white musk by the body shop still one of your most complimented fragrances ?
I haven't worn it much lately. I might pull it out again and start wearing it. Maybe even a full review in the future! :)

I don't think Kiehls sells the oil version of Original Musk (aka Apothecary Musc) anymore. But it is very rich yet close to the skin.
