I've always been drawn to lactonic notes and milky formulations. Can't wait to get my nose on some of these. Thanks for another great video! Best on the web. The fragrances I've got with lactonic notes or milky vibes are: Heretic Dirty Coconut, Al Haramain Junoon Rose, Reminiscents Guimauve, Swiss Arabian Shagaf Oud, Zadig & Voltaire This is Her. Clearly I need more!
Santal Basmati is a great one. I ended up going with that fragrance after comparing it to Piano Santal and Milky Musk, though they're all pretty good in their own right.
I have all three of them and i would definately agree with you that the santal basmatti is not only the milky-er of the three but also the most elegant in my opinion. I love the authentic effect and uniqueness of this fragrance.
I love milk notes and milk-like fragrances. I'll add a few more: Hermes Santal Massoïa, Kilian Kissing Burns..., Chabaud Lait De Concentre, and Clean's Skin. VERY milky and sweet. Massoïa has a coconut twist as well.
Loved this video! I’m a huge fan of this note. Noir Pour Femme was my first laconic fragrance and she’s still a favorite. I adore Italica and I just ordered This is Her. So many more to get my nose on!
Jeux de Peau! Love this fragrance so much. I discovered it early on in my fragrance journey as well and was an earlier niche purchase of mine. It still stands as one of those fragrances that opened my eyes up to the unique possibilities of what scent can be.
Great great list. I own a few and looking forward to trying the better version of Montale Vanilla Cake. The Xeroff. My favorite fragrance profile next to sweet, light fruit florals like Petite Cherie, not MJ Daisy, lol.
Great video Sebastian. I agree with the Jovoy and the Uncle Serge fragrances. I have had those for a while and they are perfect milky scents. I must try some of your other suggestions. Thanks for your efforts.
Sebastian, Diesel Feminine Plus Plus is the most beautiful milky scent that I`ve tried. Even comes in a milk box packaging .I will be on the hunt for a mens version, love the feminine as a summer scent ! Another plus gives fact , that you can grab it for 10 $, but to me it smells like 300 $ )) S Lutens Dent au Lait is lactonic too, but just too scary and weird for me. I prefer Diesel now.
One of my favorite topics. Sebastian, have you tried Chabaud Lait Concentre? Smells just like sweetened condensed milk. Remember the can of Nestle condensed milk they had in Lebanon? You can also find it here now in some stores.
Hi Sebastian! The designer fragrance that inspired the Map of the Heart one is Issey Miyake Le Feu d'Issey. I have a bottle of it and would be happy to send you a sample if you'd like! 😊 Some other interesting Lactonic frags worth mentioning: L'artisan Parfumeur Poivre Piquant L'artisan Parfumeur Amour Nocturne Commes des Garcons Sticky Cake Weinerblut Freudian Wood Montana 80 Montana Penhaligon's Amaranthine Francesca Bianchi Sex and the Sea Ririana Wood Cereal January Scent Project Selperniku
Hi Sebastian, the first fragrance that immediately come to mind featuring lactonic notes is Etat Libre D’Orange’s Fils De Dieu. It literally smells like a horchata Mexican drink.
Another great list. Have to agree about Cruz Del Sur II (wearing now) - it just can't decide what it is. It pulls towards fruity, but with that heavy dose of milky accord, it makes that fruit feel ... off? I think you nailed it when you said it smells like mashed fruit in milk. I feel like certain noses might love this. But for me it borders on nauseating, even though it's pleasant, if that makes any sense at all.
Me too even though I blind bought it.. Another one that smells a bit, possibly like melon is Holidays but that one I just adore.. I can’t identify what that one smells like actually but I prefer it to CDS2.
For a while now, I've been recommending to you a fragrance called "Basilica" by Milano Fragranze, and it has milk as a note for it. For me, the milk aspect of it is not very prominent, but you might be able to detect the lactonic aspect of it better than I can. For me, the fragrance has prominent herbal and incense aspects to it. It also has candle wax as a note listed for it, and I do detect that.
@@ThePerfumeGuy I think that you might like some of their releases. Of course, I like "Basilica" the most, but I also like "Diurno", "Naviglio", "Cortile", and more. I'm interested to hear your opinion about them.

Couple of my most favorite perfumes I've discovered recently are very lactonic and I've been waiting for a list like this. Kissing Burns... by Killian from a discontinued collection is my favorite, it seems very unique to me with the muguet and green notes albeit the name is too cheesy. Also Calaluna from Bvlgari, very cozy with the iris and cardamom. Love these two. Excited to find more.
I have got This is her. It's really very nice, even fresh, and I'm wearing it in spring. I'm planing to buy those two from Montale, too. Thank you very much for another great rewiev. 🌹

I get a milky touch from Memoir Man by Amouage. Of all the fragrances you featured here, Remember Me from Jovoy is my favorite - very, very nice indeed.
When I tried Remember Me, I got a public swimming pool vibe of all things. I went on Fragrantica and someone else said that too which I thought was so incredible as I thought there was something up with my sense of smell. Crazy! Anyway, the scent was beast mode, so I would love to sample other fragrances from Jovoy 🤗
Have been waiting for this!!!! Thank you for the vedio! I found Lavandes trianon from lancome to me has this milky quality. The only fragrance that I have a back up bottle.

I'm so glad you were able to put together such a great list of lactonic fragrances! There are so many people who are just crazy about milky fragrances. I definitely think they are nice - they are not my favorite but I enjoy them. I often wonder if our association with milk being comforting and yummy and cozy is because it is embedded in our psyche from infancy..know what I mean? Mother's milk and all that..lol! But, I was surprised Zoologist Cow didn't make this list? It really is more 'bubble bath' scent to me too - do you think Cow deserves to be called a 'milky' fragrance? Anyway - such a great list of Milky Goodness!

WOW , what a great list Sebastian I will have to check a few of these out LORGA PARFUMS CUIR AFFINE sounds awesome but $$ . I was surprised not to see V Canto Mirabile not listed , I remember the video and how you raved about it , is it still one of your favorites ? Cheers Brutha 😎
Hmm is there Milk in Mirabile? It could have milk in the notes but I know it for Vanilla so perhaps that's why I didn't feature it in this list! :)
kilian sacred wood is a nice milky fragrance.
I used to own before getting discontinued. But it was brought back but never picked it up again.
My favorite so far is Carner Palo Santo!
I need to try this Palo Santo from Carner!!
@@ThePerfumeGuy it’s like the vetiver from sycomore dipped in a sweetened condensed milk. Sooo good and imo the name doesn’t really fit it for what it is. :)
Hi again. Since we both Love Arabian Tonka..I'm wearing it today and I feel it has a very lactonic smell. I had to come back on here to tell you. Do u think so?. Right now I can smell it even after 10 hours and its very creamy and lactonic. I have Elie Saab girl of now too and I adore that too but it reminds me of breast milk and baby feet in a lovely way lol!. Women know what I mean:) anyway lmk ur thoughts;)
I get a very dry experience and also experience the granular sugar experience with Arabians Tonka but everyone experiences fragrances differently or maybe interprets fragrances differently so I can see you might think there is a lactonic quality! :)
@@ThePerfumeGuythat's interesting... Ur right. I get that sugary note at first but hours later it gets creamy and milky. That's why ,I think, i love it bc it has that baby feet smell thats memory inducing. Thank u for ur input!!:)
@@ThePerfumeGuy thx for getting back to us!! I dont know how u find the time but it speaks volumes about you!!! U find time to always engage&I feel honored;). Thank u!
Does the ghost in the shell from État Libre d’Orange have the same kinda base that most État libre d’Orange have ? Thank you :) Am I the only one that smells that same kinda base in all their perfume ? 😅
Thank you so much
I don’t get the ELDO DNA as prominently as I do with other brands since most of their scents are created by different perfumers! 😀
Love this video
Thank you.
Your videos are wonderful.
