I am 79 years old. I am going to challenge myself to make this scarf. I have trouble now following patterns. I still can usually do them. The video is really very good. Thank you.

Hi Rita and all. I have a suggestion. When I view a video. I always watch it first then write it down in my crotchet book( just a regular composition book) that way I can write it in my own words and if I ever want to do the pattern again I don't have to go through the whole video again. To the author of this video thank you again🥰

Hi I'm new to your channel and cable work. Your video is so clear and the work is so beautiful. I'm sure I can do this based on your easy instructions. Ty so much for doing this video!!🙂

I like your instructions but it was confusing to me, when you turn and back post dc across, how do you know which posts to do, it looks so confusing, so I know you just go in order, but it's hard to see and tell which ones to do... if that makes sense

I think if you change the speed of the tutorial, it will help you. Touch screen of iPad, touch 3 dots in upper right corner and select playback then choose speed that you need.

I have to agree... I did slow it down, and while it did help, a little more guidance would have been nice.

@@donnagray3935 I slowed it down too and it was still confusing. I did figure it out eventually though.

Just a suggestion. I do follow the transcript but I always watch the video and write it down in my crotchet book in my own words so I can understand it

Excellent tutorial! I was going to ask you for The st count for a wider scarf. But then I see you added a boarder after. I also see why you did that.
I love cabling. ESP with Trebles I think DC only is just to
    tight. Also i
have to remember to work with a lighter colored yarn.
I had to use a lot of sensor fingering here. I’ll do this in white. Should be gorgeous.
It’s hard to see with dark colors. I’m using a navy blue.
I be made many hats but couldn’t figure out the scarf
I appreciate this. Do you ever post the left handed crochet tutorials.
It’s ok if not. I’m so use to the right handed ones. But if yiu ever do something very complex please remember us too.
    ☺️🤗

Do you think I could do double this width by doing 30 chain beginning row? And just repeating?
Sitting on the bus watching this and dreaming of the possibilities! 😍

I made the scarf however it is incredibly thick and I used a bamboo yarn that drapes very well… but cannot wrap this scarf all the way around neck as it is too bulky. It’s a beautiful pattern though. I recommend using quite a bit lighter weight yarn than she is using in the video if you want it to be practical though… I plan on taking mine apart and making a different patterned scarf that will work better with this weight of yarn. Also be aware this pattern eats up your yarn lol I used almost two skiens just for the middle cable part without the sides even that was approx 6.5-7ft long

Hello! I really like this cable stitch scarf! On row 2, when you do the treble crochets, you said to do three treble crochets. Are you doing regular trebles or front post treble crochets? It was very difficult to see exactly what you were doing there. Thank You!

    • @pikitat
      @pikitat 9 месяцев назад

They're definitely front post treble crochets. I got confused on that part too!

So, 125 rows would be ending on row 1 if we wanted to change the length?
