- Hi everyone! I'm really excited to finally be able to share this scarf pattern with you. This scarf has rows of giant bobbles in between knit-like rows. I'm so in love with this stitch combination.
This is an easy pattern - you should knowledge of basic stitches such as: chain, slip stitch and single crochet. I teach how to make the bobbles in this video.
Since this pattern uses slip stitches throughout much of it, keeping loose tension is really important. Slip stitches are naturally tight so you need to be conscious of your tension throughout this pattern. If you normally have tight tension then I would suggest even going up a hook size or two.
I hope you enjoy this pattern tutorial! This is a super fun one to work up 😊
I'll see you guys in the next video ❤️
Xoxo,
Christine

This is turning out sooo beautifully! Thank you for your clear instructions.
You are so welcome!
Oh, this is so beautiful and very satisfying to watch. I am a beginner in the crochet world but ONE DAY I am going to attempt the bobble stitch. I love your work and teaching methods and have subscribed to your channel. Thank you ! ❤
You can do it! Thank you for your kind words ❤️
I love it, thank you
I absolutely love this scarf. What color of the Hometown yarn did you use in the thumbnail photo? It looks so elegant. Thank you so much for sharing, I just discovered your channel and can’t wait to make some of your projects.
This is a beautiful pattern, and your instructions are so well done! Great job, as I’m sure your hands were freezing filming this outside. Thankyou!
Thank you very much!💕
@@SpottedHorseDesign can I inquire as to how many skeins of this yarn you used?
@@jeannettehoward2168 I used 3, 10oz. skeins ❤️ The link to the written pattern is in the description and I have all the specifics there also ☺️
How many balls of yarn does it take please.
crocheted 3 of these gorgeous thank you
Wow! That’s awesome ❤️
I cant wait to get my material tomorrow. Is there a pattern for a hat? That would be so beautiful.😍
I only have the scarf pattern for now ❤️ Although this hat pattern in my blog would match well: spottedhorsedesignco.com/easy-knit-look-hat-free-crochet-pattern/
How many skeins are needed for this project
I used 5 skeins so 25 oz. This is a very bulky scarf. The hook size she uses was too small for me it was stiff and tight. I did one scarf with a 10mm and one with a 15mm and preferred the drape of the 15mm best.
I do tend to have loose(r) tension! (than most)! I'm glad you found a hook size that gives you the best result :)
Absolutely, this is a great pattern. Would love to see how you attached the pom.
Where did you purchase your pom poms? Or what size Pom poms did you use?
I purchased them from an Etsy seller! These were 6” poms because I like extra floof 😅 Check NWI Knitss on Etsy ❤️
How did you attach the Pom poms?
Hi! It depends on the pom pom. Some of them come with strings already which I just tie through the end of the scarf. Others come with an electric loop that I will cut and tie the ends through just as I do with the strings. Hope that helps!
@@SpottedHorseDesign thanks!
