I'm just saying, we go through a dark hole through time, deal with a madman in a top hat, chase a cat with a weird grin, all to save a young, mischievous girl. A dragon with "eyes of flame" and a nonsense name that sounds vaguely like "calamity" is hardly the most obvious inspiration from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland in this DLC.
@@Jesse__H they’re saying FromSoftware took liberal inspiration from Alice in Wonderland and Lewis Carroll’s other works for these specific things. Kalameet is most likely the Jabberwock, here.

Kalameet's design is probably one of my favorite in the whole Soul series. He's not alien-looking like Seath, or so huge that the only way we can fight him is by giving him an aggressive pedicure. But he's still big enough to be an imposing threat and is meaner than a cornered bear. And that head crest...*does the finger kiss* Excellent
the real prize is the sword from his tail, which is WAY harder to cut off than i ever knew compared to literally any other dragon in the game. he does not give you a good opportunity to hit his tail.
Kalameet, bringer of Calamity and destroyer of eardrums. One of the coolest dragons ever, really. My only wish is that he used more supernatural powers, like his attack where he suspends you in the air and inflicts you with calamity. It'd be cool if he picked up boulders with his mind and threw them at you. Either way, he's badass.
One thing that always gets me with some of your videos is the feel. They feel welcoming more than anything. It’s not, “Hey, scrub, I’m gonna teach you about this kickass game!” It’s more, “Welcome back. Would you like to learn more today?”
In a weird twist, I knew he had other eyes the moment he did that telekinesis move. He does a little squint with them as he flares out and displays his red eye. I wonder if Kalameet got those because of the Abyss, since his beta model is a cyclops dragon.
Kalameet will always remain my favourite dragon in the entire Dark Souls series. I love ALL the dragons in the franchise, from big names like Sinh and Midir to the Drake/Wyvern dragons, but Kalameet is just special to me. _His design is so cool!_ Also, you fight him in one of my favourite Dark Souls kingdoms period: Oolacile, land of mystics and magic unknown and unorthodox even to the most seasoned Sorcerers. @@MrDibara and his hitboxes. And his music as well, I don’t know what hey we’re doing but the music for hat boss is so basic especially compared to boss themes in the very same game
Honestly, I think Kalameet is the coolest looking dragon in the game. Definitely gives me the red eyes black dragon vibe for sure. This video definitely reinforced that thought. Though Midir aint bad either design wise.
I find it interesting how a lot of dragons have some form of evil eyes, between Kalameet, Fatalis, and even the enemy Evil Eyes in Dragon's Dogma being formed from an fossilized dragon eye, and more I probably don't know or can think of, there's a lot of cases with the two being connected.
In case you need some more examples - in HOMM6 shadow dragons have eyes on their wings. Sometimes those eyes detach themselves and grow tentacles - that how shadow lurkers (evil eye-like creatures) are born.
Easily my favorite dragon from the entire series. Simple but fantastic design, the rough black look and piercing red eye. His sword tail is fun to use and the brown/black colors of his flame are something to behold. Very little story to him, but his little interactions especially with Gough help make the DLC memorable.
I just commented on another thtead that the hydra could have formed from Kalameet's remains. Although I thought more along abyssal corruption or Seath experiments. Death seems more likely as the two places with Hydra are two places we find creatures associated with Seath, crystal golems and clams.

Oh, Kalameet. I will keep the memories of meticulously attempting to cut your tail, and have my ears destroyed in the process. Kalameet's tail is the hardest to cut because of how much it's moving, isn't it? I always get the Hellkite's tail with a bow and Gaping's tail isn't that agile. The only other difficult one I can think of is Seath, due to his massive size, going around to cut his tail is rather difficult, but that was compensated by the stun that happens when you destroy the crystal.
just sing the tail cut song :) He does the swoop! so you roll to the left, then you roll to right and then he does the slam, and then you walk away then you hit the tail, and you get the tail! ruclips.net/video/ycP7BtihIYA/видео.html
