    Trust me it ain't worth it! I fell from 2 stories over 20 ft straight down onto a concrete slab! Multiple surgeries and I quite literally didn't walk for over 11 months. Haven't really worked construction since and it's been very difficult to find a job that pays well. All you have in this world is your health, take care of yourself!

      I guess it depends on how you fall. I fell 2 stories from a scaffolding and only had bruising and sore ribs and my wrist was kind of f'ed up for a while, but other than that it was fine. Also it depends on what you fall on, concrete is horrible, I happened to land on lawn and gravel mix. I weigh about 120 kilos btw, if that makes an impact in any way :D

    March this year i was on a factory roof, the roof gave way and i fell 3 stories onto the concrete also. Shattered my rib cage breaking all but one rib, my heart stopped multiple times because of the pressure it had from internal bleeding because of puncturing my lung in multiple places, i broke my back in multiple places and also seperated the iliac wing from my pelvis. Broke my ribs off of my spine so no position was comfortable and could barely breathe. I had surgery so the majority of my ribs have permanent titanium plates to hold them together while healing. I am not condoning doing this, but where is the framing where he fell through? There is a three floor hole there and no support. This kind of stuff is uncalled for, but if there were trusses under the OSB this wouldn't have happened.

    It's amazing to me that people are allowed to use OSB sheathing. I would never buy a house with OSB. I've seem too much of what happens years down the road every time regardless of any other Factor it always ends up expanded and soft what's faster is backing out and moisture getting in and all sorts of stuff. Terrible

    Looks like yall didnt put the felt down in time and have a few rain days. Either that or you are reusing old material thats been weathered. But I think the best tip would be, take care of your body and dont put so much weight on one spot of the roof

    Omg, was there no rafter there? Seems like a awfully dangerous stunt if not. But also hard to believe he broke thru that 2x6 that close to the hip, unless it just wasnt nailed that good to the hip. (Most likely scenrio) probably had 8s in his gun, or just nailed too far away from the end where no nails made it thru the rafter and hip and it just gave when the osb did both sections to right and left of that jack rafter along w the jack itself gave way

    Not tethered and carrying way too much weight. Their insurance certificates should be revoked, and the job shut down until they are in compliance. This is the company owners fault. A policy of you will be fired on the spot if caught untethered, as per insurance requirements.

    • @anthonyrodrigues5032
      @anthonyrodrigues5032 Год назад +1

      Thats this guys fault for carrying too much weight. Doubt he is even on the books. Even if he was tethered he would have hit the floor underneath as the tether is set to falling off the roof not proximal to the tether. Im the type of dude to own up to my mistakes. I doubt anyone told him to carrying that many bundles . As a gc I tell my guys stop what youre doing and go get your safety glasses gloves, or masks. Just because you can do something or carry doesnt mean you should.
