Most under appreciated artist of the 2000’s, his sound literally inspired so many of today’s artists and he opened a new box to how rap can sound and what it can be about.
Cudi needs more credit. Not only for the style he created, which influenced millions of people and artists, but for also bring awareness to mental health. This guy made me okay with being myself..
Kid Cudi helped me understand that the depression, and the anxiety I feel on a daily basis isn’t irregular. People feel these things everywhere all over the world.
When we say Kid Cudi “saved my life”, like man we freaking mean it. Like for people that don’t want to go see a therapist and don’t feel comfortable talking about our personal issues to others. And I know it’s okay to speak about your problems and there’s no shame in it, but some people just aren’t that open. I’m not. So many of his songs I just put on replay so I can get through the day. Just like each one of his albums goes through his range of emotions. When I need self love I listen to songs like Immortal, The commander, Love. When I’m just down I listen to melting, internal bleeding, insides out, wounds. I know I’m biased to Cudi but this dude is my therapy... I hope he just knows how grateful we are for him. ♥️
For those that don’t know Scott has a TED Talk and has been on The Joe Rogan Podcast! It’s rare when an artist comes through the hiphop vein of music to save the lives on hundreds of thousands of people. Thank you Scott!
Kid Cudi inspires me to actually be more than just what I see around me, to not be a product of my environment. And to always stand out among the non-believers. Because I believe that I have the power and knowledge to change my circumstances whatever they may be at the moment.
8/17/22. Long time Cudi supporter since I was young. First time I heard KiD CuDi I was 7yrs old it was day n nite and I fell in love. I’ll be 21 in February. Gotta say my favorite albums are MOTM II and SB2H. I probably wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for his music. Yes I still fight the urges of checking out and the negative thoughts and vivid gruesome images and visions in my head to this day. It sucks but I’m stubborn so I’m still fighting. We all go through some shit but please to all who may see this I wish you all nothing but the best! Much love! We gotta be there for one another. It’s a people thing!
Andres leclerc same man. The Prayer was the first song that I listened to by Cudi. Still remember my freshman math teacher playing that, saying it was one of his favorite songs of all time. It quickly become mine as well.
Scott will always be a legend in my book. I love everything he creates. Most people just love Cudi, and there's nothing wrong with that, but don't forget the human behind the art. Scott has saved many people's lives and has really helped me to hold onto mine. His music is something nobody can replicate. I don't know who I would be or what my life would look like if I never had his influence. I've listened to him consistently for about 10 years now, life is lonely and having that person of guidance is truly helpful. I hope that he's living a happy life doing what he pleases. Thank you Scott, for being the big brother I've always needed
He made one of the realest comments I’ve heard about whatever “making it” really means. “I didn’t like that I had money and success and other people I knew didn’t.” As a result, he couldn’t enjoy his success and spiraled into deep depression. Props to him for expressing that...makes you understood what he truly going through back in the day.
Kid Cudi’s mental health & adversity message in his songs is what’s great about him to me. He’s inspired me so much & established himself as my idol with that being one of many reasons
Cudder will always be the best thing to ever happen to me. Soundtrack 2 My Life & The Prayer have truly saved my life on different occasions. The Greatest of All Time...
Holy shit, man. I love this video. No one in my experience on youtube (7 years) has been able to sum up and clarify the mind and embodiment of my favorite artist. Earned urself a sub!
I’ve lately thought about death, literally when I’m driving home from work at 3 am just drive straight to a wall or just go head on into a trailer but... I just think maybe tomorrow will be better and it really is especially when I see my mom. Thank you Scott you helped me from the first mixtape but I felt the most the first song on your first album “in my dreams” that’s what sparked my ambition.
kid cudi has never been one of the most celebrated appreciated or successful artists but i firmly believe he will be one of the last to be forgotten from this era
He’s just that man on the moon. Honestly his music is so influential he simply doesn’t get enough credit for not only how he has changed rap but music in general. Truly an inspiration for me forever. He’s just that man on the moon
This.. more cudi content for years I feel as tho people have kept him out of the conversation he’s certainly saved me at a time where I was very self destructive.. I was like 19 and it was a few years after man on the moon 1 I hadn’t just listened to him I knew of him but I saw the interview one night when I was up in my head the one where he talks about saving kids from suicide and I went and checked him out n I cried tbh cause I felt really alone n like a failure at the time. His music really helped me get out of that mindset. Super dope video I’d love to see a follow up for man on the moon 3. Btw ur videos are very insightful and beautiful.
Cudi first two albums helped me a lot with my deep depression. Until he stop doing man on the moon albums then I really fell into my alter ego aka Mr. Rager. I did a lot of drugs to cop but looking back at it for a full 11 years I was running from myself since day and nite. That dropped my last year of high school. The song itself defined what I was feeling and speaking. Situations changed my life but soundtrack to my life is my story.
The similarities between man on the moon, and something like Rodeo by Travis Scott are uncanny. Common narrates Cudis album, T.I narrates Travises. Both are about finding oneself, proving people wrong, etc. the only difference I see is the tone. Cudi’s is depressing, Travis is pure anger
Thank you God The Great I Am for Kidcudi 😔 he helped me through so much as a kid not knowing how to fit in this world while trying to fit in and still not fitting in so why be on this earth that you don’t understand and that doesn’t understand you. Much love to every cudi fan that share the exact same story❤️ love you guys and again thank you KIDCUDI!!
Scott Mescudi is one of the biggest role models I've ever had in my life, the feelings/emotions I derive from his music is out of this world. Thank you God for putting this man on earth, he truly saved mine and many others lives with the power of his message!
People overlook how much Cudi paved a way for modern music. From all his collabs, production, confidence to treat his mental struggles and help others, and even blending electro and hip hop.... People literally would not have what they have today without Cudi, in a lot of ways. Guy got me through a lot of hard times, and many others. Fuck yes cudi
Kudi is one true dude which is why I always liked his music, in a industry surrounded by fake shit Kudi's music stood out the most and something i can fuck with and vibe too, would say same brain wave's of a nice guy in shitty situations and struggling to find peace. His shit has always been very relate-able for me and down to earth.
Perfect timing I "Accidently" clicked on this page and i was gonna click away but I said to myself was this a accident I seen Cudi pressed play and BOOM I love and appreciate you SO MUCH CUDI THANK FAM!!!
His music saved me during a dark time in my life and it still does to this day, as you never fully recover from the depths of suicide and hell....you are in constant recovery.
The only part I disagree with/would word differently is the fact that SB2H was an absolute cry for help, evident in pretty much every song. It seemed like he was on the verge of killing himself at any moment as I listened to it. I don't remember the dates properly, but I thought he went to rehab in between SB2H and PP&DS, not finishing PP&DS until he was out of rehab and feeling happier again. Even then, some time in between those two he released the single "Goodbye" which not a lot of people even know about. Excellent short documentary though I loved it !
This is a great video, absolutely love it. Kid Cudi has helped me through some dark places. The prayer will forever touch my soul. Play it back from the top if you recognize real.
I’ve been waiting for you guys to do a Kid Cudi video for awhile, and you guys did such a good job with the writing and production of this video. You did Cudi well. Honestly was holding tears back watching this and then lost it when “The Prayer” came on towards the end.
Cudi has a funny way of showing up every time I need him.

Most under appreciated artist of the 2000’s, his sound literally inspired so many of today’s artists and he opened a new box to how rap can sound and what it can be about.
idk if he was influential in the 2000s since he only released one album and a mixtape?
@@itsmethemusicman4704 well he get his recognition in the 2000's
@@itsmethemusicman4704 you dont have to drop 20 albums to be influential. His sound was just out of this world literally.
Fr. The entire new wave is hella influenced by Cudi. With Travis probably being the shining example
One thing I can say that I love about Cudi is his mental health awareness message.
Cudi needs more credit. Not only for the style he created, which influenced millions of people and artists, but for also bring awareness to mental health. This guy made me okay with being myself..

Don’t know where I would be without cudder. Love you my guy
Kid Cudi is the GOAT. No one can come close to what he contributed to music. Living legend for real.
scott’s music is timeless and he’s the only artist that allows me to become joyous and melancholy simultaneously .
The rap game needs more Kid Cudi.
no it doesn't

I saw Kid Cudi perform live in Boston on October 1, 2017. Everyone was singing along to every single lyric. Kid Cudi is a hip hop legend
Cudi probably has the strongest fanbase of any artist the past decade
For those that don’t know Scott has a TED Talk and has been on The Joe Rogan Podcast!
