    Note: I recently learned that in another interview, Kanye debunked the stories of him crying when he was rejected. According to Kanye, that was something that Time Magazine took out of context.

    • @rich369963
      @rich369963 5 лет назад +268

      I mean, it did change his life. In a lot of ways, Jamie was just like Kanye at that point. Jamie was trying to break into the music industry too, but no one really wanted to back him seriously. They wanted him to just stick to acting. The song he did with Kanye showed him how to switch up his style and eventually pave the way for his music career.

    Kanye divides rap history in two eras - before and after Kanye debut. On 10th February 2004 he changed this genre forever. He paved a way for Drake, Migos and other singers-rappers. Hip-hop is not associated only with gangsters and drug dealers any more thanks to him.

    Being from Chicago, this is the type of aggressive attitude and wok ethic you have to have to get far in life. For some odd reason we always feel like we're fighting our way out of the city to something greater and it often does happen. This video just lit a fire under me. I was so down and uninterested in what i was doing the last week and THANK YOU, thank you for doing this video. I'm ready to starting smashing it again. Thank you. For reminding me what I was supposed to...

    His passion plus being turned down laughed at and scoffed at is why Kanye will always have a complexity to him, as dope and iconic as he is...he will always be self conscious...Through the wire was what I fell in love with and despite all his ups and downs it’s hard to leave him behind...

    Kanye is a hawk, he sees it all. Call him crazy, 'he's not. He got plans, some paid off big time and others will too. He' working hard before he retires and be one of the icons the world would learn from and look up to. Much respect!

    Just now took the time to learn the history of Kanye and how he made it. Bro is a legend. I hate to use the term idol, but he definitely set a standard and prime example for young entrepreneurs fighting to make it or even get started out of fear of rejection, to never back down, believe in yourself, and make your life what you want it to be through the dedication to making your dreams a reality through hard work and perseverance. Absolute legend and truly inspiring. From a college drop out and rejected rapper, to a HOF Artist and owner of a Billion Dollar Fashion company. A inspiration and example of anything’s possible…Kanye West.

    I love Kanye. Through the ups and downs, the strokes of genius, and the fits of insanity; I love Kanye. I’ve always loved music, especially Hip-Hop and his music has always resonated with me deeply. I love the fact that he’s always believed in himself. It doesn’t matter if the whole world is telling you no. If you want it bad enough, then go out there and be great.

    Currently this is my favorite channel. This also might be the first channel I buy merch from as I am that happy this channel exists. In a youtube context I'm literally just in a cool-down period before I watch "The Making of 'My Beautiful Dark Fantasy" AGAIN. I am shocked you don't have millions of followers but the masses will catch on. Either way your content is top tier and as a fan of music I am so thankful that I can watch professional videos about Kanye, Frank Ocean, Travis and everyone else. You're the guy please keep going
